Opening.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.It's too bad this takes at least the first and last panels to get the trope across.
Works for me.

First, almost all the information is in the text, the graphics say nearly nothing. Second, that is two-thirds of a strip. Third, Garfield sucks.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Disagreed, true, and completely irrelevant, respectively.
Unless someone comes up with anything else, I'll go with Garfield.
(Annoyed grunt)It works as a quote but not an image.
It's also golf not bowling.

Not really this one, the barebones description and the way the examples are written are more like a Bowling Episods that comedies do which always turn into some kind of Serious Business contest.
Like the image I posted, Love Hina's bowling chapter, the old image, or The Big Bang Theory's episode vs Will Wheaton.

A bowling episode plot is already covered by Bowling for Ratings. This is a variation on that one, but we might have to run this through the trope description improvement thread first to figure out how flexible it is.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Ok yeah then this needs a thread there, rename and merge to Bowling Episode would work.
Its also completely western centric as well, Japan likes bowling and things like this◊ show up often in Slice of Life animes.

''“You want a planet? I’ll give you a planet! Heck, I’ll give you your own solar system! No, I’ll give you a house... in Boca Raton!Garfield is not this trope in any way.
Clock's up; locking for lack of consensus.
This image◊ crashed in the Image Suggestion thread. Other ideas?
