The "bad terms" thing is not news. It's coming from a leak.
Leaks =! note News
A leak from someone who was wrong about several things.
This song needs more love.Exactly.
For the record, I just said that too.
Right. I guess I thought I was trying to say something relatively different.
Maybe I should've said something like "I agree with that statement."
We’ll know next month, but it’s a shame either way. So much potential.
Or maybe I’m just mad they didn’t have a real budget for things like Aaron Stack or Blade or a storyline written by someone notable. There was so much potential for a really fun story.

No, I'm being an attention whore here, so it doesn't really matter. We're agreeing that's about it.
Cross-posting from the Injustice thread, figured this was the best place to ask: what would be the optimal roster for a hypothetical Marvel vs DC game?
I don't think this is the place to ask. We're still pretty bitter how the roster turn out in our game.
Well, this would be a good time then to vent your frustrations about all those X-Men you don't have. Incidentally, which Marvel thread would be best for asking this question, if not the one about the most recent Marvel fighting game?
Well this thread isn't coming to life any time soon but it's kinda obvious who should be in the game.
The biggest problem would be how limit the roster would be. Not to mention how fast pace they want the game?
Ideally, the roster should have at least 50 characters, 25 from each. Gameplay-wise, I'm imagining something in-between MVC and Injustice. Different from both, but only in elements from the other.
It's tricky because they're quite different, and I'm not sure what elements from one would help the other. I'd be inclined to make something like this a more simple-to-play party game.
Guess this game will teach Capcom to just outsource the development of MVC style games to 8ing/Raizing, but again, budget issues...
May as well.
Watch SymphogearThey also can't just reuse assets from the last game for the sake of development time. Seriously the amount of newcomers in the base roster was sad.
Mileena MadnessThe bad thing is that there are no X-men. The good thing is that there is also no Wolverine and no Sentinel. I'd actually be open to some distinct sentinel variants, Omega Sentinel, Mastermold, Bastion, etc, etc, but mecha mook has finally taken its overdue leave of absence and Wolverine had enough variants as is, time to give someone else the spotlight, hello Black Panther...DLC? Well it's a start.
The bad thing is that there are no Street Fighter villains...by which I mean no Dictator or Juri. I can do without the rest, and although Akuma's swan song was a little disappointing, that mostly comes down to roster choices(that's the place they should have put Asura's Wrath DLC). Technically speaking, Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was a good way to go out. The good thing? Mega Man X and Sigma was such an if only pipe dream that despite the lack luster reveal trailer that showed it was in fact happening, it happening is nonetheless worth the price...though having them both from the get go would have been nice.
Jedah, about damn time! Sure, I would have liked to see any number of characters but a good deal of them were in the last Marvel Vs or like Asura, would have been better suited for the last Marvel Vs game(Iron Fist but no Godhand? Really?) This time, for a thirtyish roster, I think the Capcom side is about perfect. We didn't have to wait for sequel stagnation to set in before we got real villains besides Wesker. The Marvel side less, so, being even more of a transparent attempt to shill movie tickets(I kind of get Gamora but no X stuff, no Runaways, no Next Wave but Black Widow and Winter Soldier) than "Ultimate" was. But all the same it could be worse, the characters mostly work with the story they were trying to tell. Maybe if the last Marvel game actually had one of those its roster wouldn't have felt so slapdash...
Mixed feelings about 2 on 2. I kind of like 3 on 3 more. Tagging is better for the most part in my opinion since I don't have to think as hard about it not to get punished for doing it. The gems I could do without but they're pretty inoffensive. Could you always push block projectiles? Otherwise the fighting's mostly what I've come to except from Marvel vs, not many complaints there. X factor seems to be gone and I don't miss it.
Capcom seems to be getting better at making rosters for the Marvel games with each entry since more or less giving up and going Original Generation back in the early Marvel Vs Capcom games, concerning its own characters. The Marvel characters, not so much, although I suppose that might not be their fault. Ultron Sigma was a nice change of pace after Apocalypse, Onslaught and Galactus.
Disagree with ya there. Not having them in just weird as they are series' mainstays. It's like having Street Fighter without Ryu and Ken or King of fighters without Kyo or his on/off boyfriend Iori. Change them up? Sure. Not having them all together or relegating them to DLC? Not cool.

Mileena MadnessCan't access markup help without posting and then editing if afterwards. Oh, first world problems.
Akuma was more of a Vs series staple than Wolverine. Technically, Tatsunco Vs dropped him first, if I'm not remembering things incorrectly, but he had been in every Marvel Vs until infinite and damn did I not miss him.
I don't even dislike Akuma as such, but given the roster that we got there was no reason for him to make the cut, likewise no reason for Wolverine, while Sentinel should have been gone back in 3, in my opinion. Any number of more interesting or at least not yet used killer robots from Marvel Comics could have easily replaced him, although as they held off on bumping him off for Ultron, I do like the way they did debut Ultron. Fused with the ultimate maverick into a form so powerful it can only be defeated by the ultimate maverick hunter of unlimited potential.
This game's story mode was by no means good in anyway that didn't involve nostalgia and the inherent appeal of certain characters, but in an effort not to be overly negative I will say given what they were going for with the story the roster almost makes sense. And I only say almost because I just realized said roster is once again lopsided towards Marvel(and it would only take two, Bison/Juri, Gene/Joe, Other Ryu/Nina, Tessa/Valgas, Asura/Son Son, Momotaro/Barbaros etc etc, to fix that), so I have to take back that what I typed about Capcom getting better.
Still, to me the biggest loss of the X-men is simply potential. No returns like Omega Red, Gambit, Spiral, Iceman, Juggernaut, Marrow, Rogue etc. No new comers like Armor, Surge, Night Crawler, Pixie, Magic, Legion, Archangel, Forge, Namor, Darwin, Danger, Doop...the team, the brand, is a lot more than Wolverine. Less Wolverine being a staple of Marvel Vs and more X Mutants and the like being a staple of Marvel as we know it(at least we got Magneto-Dante/Virgil before they were exiled)

I think a lot of people are focusing on Wolverine because his absence is just kinda flabbergasting, given Wolverine Publicity. I know it surprised me, though probably it's because most of the time I was reading comics was during the era where he was getting pushed.
Hell, the game series was originally an X-Men fighting game, then X-Men vs Capcom.
Wolverine has literally been there since the beginning.
As well as the fact that he's fucking Wolverine, one of the most iconic superheroes ever.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Because Marvel & Capcom were doing the damndest to ruin to the game. Yeah this violate common sense, but it's only way that makes sense on how they market the game.
I wouldn't put so much value in a leak that has been wrong for the last two month.
I'm going to assume you mean MVC 3 Jill? In that case, Black Widow is eon better than her. That depiction was the embodiment of everything that was wrong for RE franchise.
Oh you know, he still has to compete with a shit ton of other fan favorites.
