Huh I'm currently watching those boss hype trailers 3 got which were all the characters fighting each other in extravagant ways.
Infinite never got these trailers did it? Does it even have an opening?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Didn't you watch the story mode? They just jump in the middle of the story. If there was anything bad about the story mode that's definitely # 1.
To be fair Injustice 1 starts off with the Joker's "death" scene before we get caught up to that moment in a short time.
Mileena MadnessJumping into the middle of the story isn't an inherently bad thing, as the In Medias Res trope will tell you.
"If you think like a child, you will do a child's work."Yea, but I also don't think Injustice 1 story mode was all that great since their solution was the multiverse. Not to mention, I wasn't exactly ok with the idea of just jumping in & see crazy Superman just doing extreme actions. A lot of those issues were solve in the comic book tie in but I never consider to be a good way to solve things in general.
I'd hardly call that "solved"... that comic book tie-in was really, really slow. That combined with Foregone Conclusion made it a rather difficult read.
I do appreciate that Infinite jumped into the middle - faster pacing generally helps with these things.
The proper narrative started on Earth 1 and then went into the Injustice-verse. There’s context for how they got there. Infinite lacks all that.
Part of me wonders if they could just make it so that they all already lived on the same Earth to begin with - after all, Mega Man and the Street Fighter characters don't originate in the same canon (unless they do, and I am woefully misinformed?).
Oh God! Natural light!Yeah, that's part of the problem of saying their two universes collided. The only existing franchises on Capcom's side that are confirmed to share a universe are Final Fight and Street Fighter, if you can even call Final Fight its own franchise any more. All the rest exist in their own continuities.
It's possible in this particular continuity that that's not the case and Capcom is one big, mishmashed universe even before the two came together, but there's nothing in the story mode to suggest that.
My impression was that the reason everyone knew each other was because Infinite was doing Broad Strokes with Marvel 3, and thus people were familiar with each other due to already teaming up against Galactus.
Mostly because while this game does explain why the Convergene happened, the plot actually takes place well after it.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Injustice properly explained the context. Joker did something truly horrible, sent Superman over the edge & then killed him where things then properly snowballed into him taking over the world. Batman then out of desperation try's to contact an alternate universe to get more backup.
The comics are an unnecessary read. You don't have to read it to understand the games plot, its just for the enjoyment one might receive in detailing what exactly happened.
Infinite does not properly explain the context leaving confusion. All we know is somehow Jedah traveled universes to speak to Death & then Thanos recruits Ultron for some reason to gain an Infinity Stone somehow in the Mega Man's city. From what its implied Ultron used the reality stone to merge both realities though its unclear what exactly he did.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."There is actually a big ol connected metaverse with Street Fighter. It has Final Fight, Captain Commando, Slam Masters and Momotaro (a weird game about dodging barrels thrown by pirates), and a retconned Ruby Heart. If we include external crossovers, the list also includes Asura's Wrath.
Any other games seem to be separate though (depending on how serious some easter eggs connecting Resident Evil and Ace Attorney to Dino Crisis are...)
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!4383
Yeah, but that doesn't make it any better & MVC I isn't an exception to that rule. Especially when that defeats nearly half of the purpose of cross over interaction.

Infinite's story is the height of laziness for that reason.
Does the "Street Fighter-verse" also include Rival Schools, since Sakura makes an appearance in that game, and one of the other characters there uses the Saikyo fighting style?
Also, I really don't get why Ruby Heart was given a Street Fighter V profile. So if they decide to bring her back, is she gonna be considered a ''Street Fighter character now?

This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute. It's lazy & sloppy but not a deal breaker.
Don't quote me on this but Udon has Sakura attend the same school as the Rival School did. Not to mention some of the girls are in the background SF 5. If anything else Ruby Heart should be considered a Darkstalker character since she's based on the scraps plans. On top of that Asura is supposed to be in the same universe if the true ending for that game is to go any by.

So how is the online? I know DS Phil is bitching about the game being safe and shit on stream according to some viewers >_>
Mileena MadnessIt makes sense in my head if I think of it less as the Marvel and Capcom universes merged, and more as the "Marvel" and "Vs Capcom" universes.
Played a three-bar and a four-bar in a lobby just now and it felt pretty darn good. Haven't tried a one bar connection yet to see how bad it gets though.
Most definitely better than 3's horrendous netcode.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiDante & Dante... featuring Knuckles from Knuckles May Chuckle series.
Wow, this is the exact same thing as back in 3. I wonder if it'll let you choose Ultron Sigma like it did Galactus in 3. Or double Ultron Sigma.
They should have made Ultron-Sigma playable normally, have him only be able to use 1 infinity stone and tone down his moves and health and he'd probably fit fine in the roster, he's not huge like Galactus or Onslaught we're so it'd be doable (probably)
Eh. I'm fine with it. We have Ultron and he's the Urien to Ultron-Sigma's Gill. It works.
Still mad they made Sigma DLC. Thanks Capcom
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!
To be completely fair, no 1 said it wasn't build by a Mad Gear gang.
