I will laugh if Jedah's palette swap colors also change the color of his blood (i.e. his red color swap has him spraying around green blood).
This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute.I get the complaint, actually. The visuals are trying to be realistic but it doesn't mesh well with the cartoony proportions on most of the cast (see the frequent complaints about the heads looking too small).
yeah basically this.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!It just doesn't look pretty.
Like looking at Cap & Chris, there's something off about him.
As well that Chun-Li should always be a bombshell & she doesn't here.
But most of all is that Tony's face just looks fucking terrible.
This shit isn't very good looking that's for sure.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's also just relentlessly cheesy seeing all these characters sitting around the avengers HQ and they're not even self aware enough about it to joke about just how silly it all is.
You just can't play a crossover like this straight, and that's why none of the games have had a story before this.
How silly would it be from their perspective, though? I mean, is having X in the Avengers Tower any goofier than having Vision there?
That's probably part of the reason that they got rid of characters like Viewtiful Joe and Amaterasu.
That is very concerning. That the story is gonna start so far ahead in the plot that the characters are already normalized to each other.
Seriously the game stages are fusions of various Capcom & Marvel settings. Wakanda appears to have been combined with Monster Hunter & Asgard with Mega Man.
I'm gonna be very disappointed if BP doesn't express frustrations of having giant-ass monsters occupying his country or Thor & X not being concerned at the apparent fusion of their homes.
Damn is getting rid of Joe & Ama a real waste.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Maybe not X but Chun Li, Ryu, Arthur, and Mike Haggar, yes. It's not even the characters themselves all the time - it's stuff like their costumes and mannerisms - they gave everything this realistic edge and still doesn't work anywhere but the fights themselves where you can't really stop and think about how these characters don't really fit together.
And I doubt VJ, the one Capcom character who would fit in with the Avengers, at least as much as Rocket Raccoon does, was cut because of the story. Why the heck is Arthur in the game and story, otherwise?

I'm pretty sure they started the story In Medias Res was so they wouldn't have to write how all these weird and different characters first met and befriended/allied with each other. Since that would require... well, a better team of writers than the current one. I'm sure there'll be jokes about the dissonance, but I'm not expecting them to do much else with it.
Though to be fair, I haven't played a crossover where the dissonance is ever really explored all that deeply either (maybe Namco X Capcom and the Project X Zone games did, since they were RPGs).
As for Max's appraisal of the Soul Stone, I think he's just basing it on his preference for crazy-yet-functional gameplay and visuals in fighters, and he mentioned really loving the Crossover mode or whatever from the first MVC, so I think he's just super-excited at seeing that again.
That said, I can't wait to see how the Infinity Stone meta will evolve.

That would require effort.
Effort and Capcom go together like oil and water.

Boy is that sad.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."As awesome as new characters like X and Jedah are, I'm still underwhelmed by the base roster of this game.
My main issue with the Marvel side is definitely how influenced by the MCU it is. I really hope the X-Men and FF characters will be DLC down the line.
The issue with the story is seeming to be that it's trying to play it straight when it'd be better off not played straight.
I also really hate the Civil War-esque moment in the trailer. Heroes fighting each other is so overdone with Marvel that I wish they stop doing it entirely.
I will agree on the visuals. 3 was much better in this regard. I hate the aesthetic for this one. It doesn't mesh well with the Capcom characters. (Dante is my biggest gripe with this one. Though I also don't think the cartoony characters look too bad in this one.)
The gameplay does seem fine enough, it's everything else that's an issue.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!People want Injustice like stories and not silly crossover fair, so I get why Marvel went more serious even if it seems like typical MCU mood with the witty one liners in trailers.
Mileena MadnessYou know rhat scene exists so that you aren't just fighting bad guys all game, right? It may be annoying given Marvel's trends, but its a necessary element of the medium (fighting games).
I agree it's necessary, just that it's tiring with it being a thing that Marvel loves to do a lot.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Since you brought up X-Men being DLC, considering how vitriolic everyone got over the absence of X-Men at launch (and justifiably so to an extent), I will not be surprised if Deadpool is part of the X-Men/Street Fighter DLC pack... and they use him to deliver a subtle (or not so subtle) Take That, Audience!

This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute.I've seen some people mention that. The general retort is suggesting that we play as the villains for part of the campaign istead.
Though really, I think it's more that Civil War's popularity ended causing a bunch of Let's You and Him Fight plots to happen in other media. Plus people already burned out on the whole "this game is influenced by the MCU" thing.
Personally, I'm more bothered by Cap and Tony's stances. It kind of feels like their positions should be switched (Cap seems more like the type who would absolutely look for some other method than relying on Thanos), unless Tony just feels particularly adamant against allying with Thanos because of what happened to him in MCU.
Side question, but does anyone know what properties make up the stage fusion that has the Mortal Kombat-esque soul gate thing in it? I want to say part of it is from Darkstalkers, but I'm not sure what the Marvel influence is.

Both Project X Zones' stories are Excuse Plot incarnate but the interactions are some of the funniest I've ever seen in a crossover. Capcom would have done well to take more inspiration from them than Injustice (which is not a crossover).
This song needs more love.It seems to be a mix of the Fetus of God deep in the Majijen, the realm Jedah made in Vampire Savior, and Thanos's pad.
Why can't we play as villains? That be a good way to add in space than just have more heroes fighting each other.
Hell that's the only issue I have with Injustice 2, the fact I never got play as Scarecrow or Bane, especially Scarecrow who is like the most awesome character in the entire game. He is only fought against twice & he's apparently killed off-screen after the second encounter. He deserved more appearances.
Seriously fuck hero vs. hero, God that is so fucking tiring in regards to Marvel.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."@3736 Beatman 1
What do you call RE 7 then?
@3738 powerpuffbats
The Civil War theme is quickly wearing out it's welcome. You think with the Civil War movie we would be more intrigue by this concept but Marvel comic screw it up so badly with Civil War 2 that people are now just tire of having good guys fight each other. If they really wanted to have the Marvel's hero fight against Capcom's fighters all they had to do was whole misunderstanding schtick.
@ 3743 Customer
It's from Darkstalker & from Jedah's stage. That soul gate thing is called the Shintai aka "The Fetus of God" & it's form by massing a shit ton of souls. Apparently if the souls of the Darkstalkers' cast would complete it.
In other news David Kaye his voice over as Jedah.

Don't you know heroes need to fight over things like Inhuman rights or for mothers named Martha. :V
Mileena Madness
Is that really happening in the world of Inhuman right now? Cuz the last thing we need is more similarity between them & the X-Men.
That is indeed what is happening.
In the current event Secret Empire that has Captain America take over America he is currently rounding up Inhumans & placing them in internment camps & enforcing such harmful practices that are an obvious allegory for discrimination.
So yeah the Inhumans have pretty much become the X-Men at this point the key difference being in that they are an inferior brand.
The X-Men on the other hand have their own land & are basically avoiding the event & all the shit that it entails.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
It might be purple blood, but at least it's still blood and not strawberry juice.
