Well I don't want them making up 75% of the roster like the past. Sentinel...can we at least get a scene of dozens of Sentinels destroyed? We have Ultron.
We know. This is about the billionth post you've made about how the X-Men aren't relevant anymore and how you hate the Sentinels and how the X-Men don't need to be in because they aren't representative of who Marvel is.
Thankfully Marvel and their video game partners seem to have finally come around to realizing that idea was shite.

The X-Men are relevant, otherwise we wouldn't be getting this plethora of stuff like Legion (excellent show), Gifted (looks...less so) and New Mutants.
It's just that everything else is expanded, so we don't need every single irrelevant corner of X-lore. As for the Butt-Monkey idea, it was a thought.

Anyway, I wonder now if the X-Men will get an exclusive DLC pack or if it'll just be X-Men characters mixed with other Marvel heroes.
Oh and I forgot, this interview once and for all confirms we will get non-MCU characters.
You know, just in case you guys were worried it was only going to be MCU characters for the Marvel side.

I don't think anyone ever thought it'd just be MCU characters. Ms. Marvel was a popular fan guess from Day 1, and to a lesser extent Squirrel Girl.

The issue wasn't just the MCU so much as characters Fox can't profit off of. Otherwise Venom wouldn't be so heavily rumored.

I think that leak had Leon and no Chris.
Nor obvious (and later confirmed) shoe-ins like Chun-Li, Hulk and Thor. The leaker tried to cover this by claiming he wasn't told if certain characters were in because he was so sure they were locks he didn't bother asking.
Make of that what you will.

That or it's simply that Perlmutter isn't around all that much to enforce it. It was all his idea after all and he was the one with a beef with fox.

Plus didn't that leaker have Leon instead of Chris? At this point it's clear that's not the case.

A little disappointed they use the DBZ version of Goku there. Maybe they got enough mileage out of the "Goku will totally be in Super Smash Bros" jokes already.

As with all leaks, I recommend taking it with a grain of salt, or the entire salt shaker if you're like me and think that the final roster will kinda suck if it's anything like the "leaked" info.
Also, one more tidbit regarding Black Panther (one that actually doesn't surprise me considering the movie coming next year)...

That's a red flag. You could have Wolverine or Black Panther doing the same style of charging claw offense with blade strikes...and use neither? How does that make sense?

If its really a 28 starting character roster then we have 11 reveals left as the previous reveals on both sides with Ultron-Sigma adds up to 17 characters.

I can see it making sense if you're taking the movies into consideration. There's a Black Panther movie coming next year, so they probably want to save the character as cross-promotion DLC. Still, they'd be better off just including him in the base roster.
Also, I remember hearing about some other leaker describing the roster as "infinite" like the game's subtitle suggests (figuratively, of course, not literally), and there's also the statements from the development team about the roster not being limited to just MCU characters. With those statements in mind, this info leak feels super contradictory and shows that at least one person here is lying.

The smaller roster gels with the 2 character tag, and I really wasn't expecting much in the way of surprises in this.
Grain of salt or now this sounds pretty believable.
The fact that Marvel is caving and finally allowing the X-Men back into stuff shows they know there's a market for them and that this whole ban was stupid to begin with. Putting them in the game just to humiliate them and piss off their fans is counterintuitive to that goal.
I'm not even sure why anyone's entertaining the idea.
