The holodeck, as the name implies, uses holograms (and replicators) to create pre-programmed scenarios that the computer uses its AI to control. Sorta like a virtual reality video game of some kind.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. Also be aware, the holodeck can make uncharged anti-matter look safe. Safety interlocks apparently can be undone with a bent clothes hanger, fail-safes are ninety percent fail to ten percent safe, and all it takes to create a malevolent self-aware entity is to ask for a challenging opponent.

I guess what Nodrog is trying to say is: it's a great plot device.
... to use when the writers desperately need a different-time-period episode.
Or for when you need Real Holographic Simulated Evil Lincoln.
So how should I bring Kolaan into the RP?
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Half the crew are with the captain, half are at the incoming holodeck incident.
I guess once someone gets hurt Kolaan will be on the scene.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. Not everyone needs to follow Ensign Nadir's call, guys.
ur not my mom strat u cant tell me what 2 do
Of course not, Da Chief is supervising.
"As security chief I could delegate this... or I could handle the whole situation singlehanded to show them all how it's done! God I'm such a genius."
By the way, the vote for ship designs is currently tied, so if anyone who hasn't voted wants to do that...
I vote 4.
"@[=g3,8d]&fbb=-q]/hk%fg"I vote 1.
hey uhh can i change my vote to 4
Hmmm, reading Seath's bio and how he was involved in WWIII, I wonder if he could have been the target of one of Genji's few failed assassination attempts.
for reference: "sparkling" = "child" in Cybertronian vernacular.
I'm voting 4.
1 looks like the ship you'd see floating in a starship dealership to entice customers, while 4 looks like the ship that actually goes out and get things done.
Is there any chance we can say the ship is going from left to right in the picture, so the warp nacelles are stretched out in front like arms?
Should Harleen Quinzel have a rank, or is she sort of a civilian attached to the ship, were her only authority is basically being able to judge whether someone is mentally fit (or unfit) for duty?
And yes, I'm aware that Harley calling anyone insane is a case of a Vantablack pot calling the kettle black

Say, Alleydodger? I don't mind Guy removing GIR's hood, but how would he recognise Irken design if the Armada have been staying out of humanity's way for the past fifty years?
Guy spent years getting his hands on any alien tech he could, even through less than legal means, and researching and experimenting on it. He was so good at recognizing and figuring out alien tech and who it might belong to, that that is the reason he has his position on-board the Verne. An empire as big as the Irken has to have had left marks, or had bits of tech taken over the years.
And even if they had stayed out of humanity's way, the Irken would have encountered other races, which then would have filtered down to humanity. Especially with earth seeming to be such a melting pot of species. A conquering species like the Irken has to have a reputation of some kind.
Just seemed like a logical path to go down for Guy's character. That, and Guy isn't totally sure, but he's heard things about the Irken and would rather be safe than sorry. I suppose we can leave it up to Strat to rule on if need be.
I'm leaving it up to Liz, since he's the one who has most to... lose? Gain?... something from the reveal.
Regarding the ship - when I looked it up, I realised that the ship in option #4 is actually upside down in that pic. I found what it looks like from other angles and I like it a bit more now.

After much deliberation, I'd like to ask Alleydodger to hold off on Guy recognising GIR's design. He can identify Irken stuff if you like, just maybe not GIR's crude, slap-dash design. It's just that I'd rather have Zim's masquerade last longer than a whole five minutes before reliable witnesses dig up the truth.
Sorry for anyone I might be holding up, but I'll drop in a post tomorrow morning. Tonight was just packed.
EDIT: Hundredth Post Hooray! And now good night.
