she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportHeh...actually, I've decided to go ahead and re-open this now that two of the interested parties have responded in Edit Banned.
I like the Chinese Poster better. The color scheme fits well with the previous two posters of Kung Fu Panda franchise, with a sense of red and gold. The US poster is a bit too blue and comes off as a Direct-To-Video sequel off the rental store, which really undersells the movie in my opinion.
So that's 3 for the Chinese poster, 1 for the American poster so far.
How about the Chinese poster with English text◊
This signature says something else when you aren't looking at it.I wouldn't really be opposed to it.
^^ It's good, and it satisfies both parties, so it's good

When I GIS'd the movie, I found a version of the Chinese poster that had no text at all...can't link it ATM but it seemed like a good possibility.

I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :D7's good.
Good enough. 7's added and tagged... are we good with the current caption or does anyone have another suggestion?
Twitter/Instagram: anzasquiddles. Deviantart: anzahanifathallah.I'm good with it.
Yeah, me too.
Twitter/Instagram: anzasquiddles. Deviantart: anzahanifathallah.Works. I think. Not seen it, so I can't vouch for its accuracy.
Check out my fanfiction! Not a huge fan of the caption, but it's not a deal breaker. Just feel it should be an actual quote, but admittedly the phrase is paraphrased in the actual film.
It'll do.
(Annoyed grunt)Alrighty, that looks like enough consensus. Locking up.
Okay. There's a little edit war going on for the main image of Kung Fu Panda 3.
On one side we have the [Chinese poster◊, which not only contains the Big Bad of the film, but also is in my opinion a nice tribute to the fact that this was the first Dreamworks film made by its' new Oriental studio. The main argument against this one seems to be that Mei Mei, the female panda on it, is an Advertised Extra. The primary opponent of this poster basically says, "no, hate it."
Then we come to the American poster◊, which in my opinion is more unfitting. It may be the poster more are acquainted with, but it emphasizes cuteness and comedy over the more balanced drama and comedy of the actual film. The American promotional material always plays up the comedy as it is, and to me it just doesn't fit.
Since we're having a small edit war, let's settle it here. I vote for the Chinese poster.
