I sent Disney En Espanol to the cutlist.
Yeah, this is passive-aggressive, but one of the reasons I would've kept it intact was it was a "hub" to Disney's productions.
Right now I need to figure out how to create a Wiki that I can link to TV Tropes. Like that Darth Wiki thing.
We have a much broader hub for Disney productions at Disney.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Disney-owned movies and shows unavailable on a physical format in North America can't become part of this "hub", not to mention those that received physical releases no one here wants to write about.
I bet (or at least hope, because I assume it has more people maintaining it) that doesn't have a lot of false information, either.

Also, after all the subpages disappear, someone will have to move this article to Creator.Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment (apparently the current name for this branch of Disney, or at least the last one they used when they had their own print logo◊), unless I do so first.

Personally, if all the sub-pages here are deleted, I would at least hope someone to preserve the info and maybe put it somewhere else. Regardless of what everyone else has said on this thread, I think these pages have contained more info about WDHV releases in a single place than anywhere I've ever been. I'm one of those rare people that actually liked reading all about these releases and was disappointed when they started to get cut out. This could have been useful for collectors of such things. I know this post won't change anyone's minds, but I just wanted to state my input on the situation.
If you'd like advice on where else to read about past Disney home video releases, I personally consider the Disney Wiki the best site. I especially like going through the pages that list and contrast every physical release a particular movie has received:

I know that the Disney Wiki has some info on home video releases that these sub-pages do not, but I liked that these pages included the info about the different logos and trailers on them and what was going on at Disney at the time.
I know that I can get all this information on other websites, but as I mentioned, it was nice that every detail was thrown into one single hub as opposed to having to look through CLG Wiki, Disney wiki, and many separate VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray forums and websites to learn about this stuff. I understand most people don't care about that stuff, and I'm not endorsing keeping the pages up only for my own benefit by any means, but I just liked reading the detailed lists and notes about these releases that aren't merely just "special features" of them. I really liked the organization also. The fact that there were four decade pages detailing video releases in order was nice.
I really think this could have expanded into something big, and I really hope that someone preserved this info. jameygamer mentioned they did, and that they and ryanasaurus0077 are planning to upload it elsewhere. Preferably a website that has no possibility of removing the info due to policy or pointlessness (no offense to TV Tropes, I still love this website). I just discovered these subpages a couple days ago and was halfway through the 1990-1999 page before it got deleted. This was a cool (even if useless) "side-quest", and it would be sad to see it just get abandoned like that.

Right now I'm on Shout Wiki. I'll need to figure out how to create a wiki that links to TV tropes.
Is there a discussion in the forums about creating new wikis using the TV Tropes style?
No. This software is so custom made that there isn't.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah, I discovered not long after I posted the link to the Disney Wiki that the Bedknobs and Broomsticks page doesn't say which version each tape or disc contains, unlike what I wrote about them. Worse, the movie's main page seemed kind of wrong about the version included on the Enchanted Musical Edition DVD* , but I did fix it.
It's great that you get my point. That's what I mean. Many of the Disney Wiki home media pages barely contain any info about the content. Some of the movies and TV shows don't even HAVE home media release pages. Maybe if the wiki's moderators approved it, we could add all this info onto them, at least in the trivia section. I'm not against deleting the pages here, and if that's what everyone wants, and it's beneficial for the website, then by all means, go ahead. I would just like it if we could preserve the info and place it so that it's not lost and people can continue to expand on it.

Ooh, boy. Now we're in trouble.

In that case, what's with the Darth Wiki thing?
One more thing: If you've removed the master lists and the studio-specific releases, why are the branded releases still up there? And by the way, this would necessitate removing the releases on the other home video pages on Tropes.
I assumed the lists about collections can't go until every link to them disappears.
~dsneybuf and others: Is this done?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'd like to know whether or not we're keeping the pages about specific lines; it seems that some of the links to them still haven't become removed.
If we will keep them, then I'd want to move each one to the Useful Notes namespace (a la pages about Academy Award categories, but without the index tags), which would still give us a lot of links to fix.

To put things into perspective, the "Related" pages for articles about Disney Animated Canon lines:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=WaltDisneyHomeVideo/WaltDisneyClassics https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=WaltDisneyHomeVideo/WaltDisneyMasterpieceCollection https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=WaltDisneyHomeVideo/WaltDisneyGoldClassicCollection https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=WaltDisneyHomeVideo/WaltDisneyPlatinumEditions https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=WaltDisneyHomeVideo/WaltDisneyDiamondEditions https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=WaltDisneyHomeVideo/WaltDisneySignatureCollection
Plus, some lines of shorts, live-action movies, and/or TV shows had their own pages, with wicks that I haven't searched as hard for.

You know what, since no one told me to move these pages to UsefulNotes, and I already started removing the links, we might as well continue doing so. It doesn't help that some of the ones I removed today came from entries that seemed inappropriate and/or irrelevant.
EDIT: More-or-less done removing the links to Walt Disney Classics; only ones on other WDHV pages remain.
ANOTHER EDIT: Contacted someone else who already started removing links on Trivia pages to help me finish the job.

OK, all the pages I mentioned in post #96 look ready for cutting, along with WaltDisneyHomeVideo.Walt Disney Film Classics. I didn't check the other remaining subpages yet.
edited 9th Mar '17 7:21:11 AM by dsneybuf
Submitted the remaining sub-pages to the cut list. If you want to save them, speak now.
Okay, I've also removed the red links on the main Walt Disney Home Video page.
If one wants to try to restore the pages, we will likely need to discuss it in a new TRS forum thread and/or Ask The Tropers.

What would be the best way to fix the page?
Could someone please help me remove the wicks to the subpages? There's probably a lot.
