"To Pride." That puts a slightly different spin on it. Kinda wonder if they're going for something in particular for that, or if they thought saying the Pride was somehow giving something away. I hope they don't try to keep the kids' parents being supervillains some kind of secret. That's the whole premise, after all. It's right there in the title, almost. Cast looks good, and Old Lace! Yessssssss but with a teaser this short it's hard to say much more.
Hulu exclusive? Damnit now I'll never be able to watch this
Well, there are other options. I got hulu recently for HBO, I totally forgot I'll be able to watch this too.

Crow: There's a plot?Premiere's on November 21st[1]
The show will make the parents more sympathetic
https://www.themarysue.com/hulu-runaways-may-connect-to-mcu/
Nothing says "I'm a sympathetic character" like sacrificing people to your evil gods.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I've seen villains that did just as bad or worse that were still considered sympathetic
Yeah, my two big examples (recently, anyway) for sympathetic characters who are more or less villains (-for a given value of sympathetic-are a soul-stealing necromancer (less) and a guy who casually mentions murdering a politician for a pay day and then sleeping with his wife, his twin daughters, and his maid (more).
In fiction, much as in life, execution is often worth more than concept.
From what i remember, the Pride did bad things, but they didn't often seem to enjoy it-maybe. its been a while since i read that first arc.
This show's second episode will be the same events as the first, but from the parent's POV, so that'll help.
Julian McMahon has joined the series. In an ironic twist it sounds like he's playing a good guy.
Finally, some new set photos:
Trailer!
They also showed the first episode at NYCC, and it seems to be getting very positive reviews.
Molly looks old. But aside from that, promising!
Yeah, it's a shame about Molly's age. That might be my main point of concern so far - her youth relative to the others was a pretty major part of her character, so if they're aging her up they're going to have to find something else to do with her.
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."She's still supposed to be the youngest one as i understand it, the actress is a good four years younger than the next youngest actor.
They're probably just going to lean into her positive, cheery attitude as her main character trait.
I liked Gossip Girl, and i like what little of the Runaways i've read, so i'm pretty confident this will be good, adaptation changes notwithstanding. I think the producers have said Chase is going to be the one most different from the source material.
Given the young age of the cast, an age gap of 4 years is more than enough for it to be at least be a notable aspect of her character. That's the difference between someone just entering High School and someone about to graduate and under normal circumstances would have a completely different peer group.
First three episodes are out on Hulu. Get em while they're still fresh.
Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mind...shit, I don't have Hulu.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? You could just sign up for a free trial, or watch it some other way. Or you could just wait till all the episodes are released then use the free trial period, which last about a month.
Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mindGonna probably see about begging my parents to sign up for Hulu maybe.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Huh, for some reason I thought this was one of those 'everyone episode releases at once' deals.
I'll probably watch the first three today, and I'm sure it's gonna be a pain to wait.
Just finished watching the first three episodes. So far it's alright, although I did have to adjust my expectations coming into this, especially since watching the first season of The Punisher. The core group is ok, so far they are serviceable. It's definitely is a slow burn, no action at all yet. The stuff with the parents definitely has me intrigued, I just hope the pace picks up. I can definitely see some people getting bored with these first episodes though, but I'll be sticking through it. The mystery surrounding the girl Destiny has me curious for sure.

Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mind...I feel like none of that had to be spoilered.
This is definitely a Savage and Schwartz show, that's for sure. So if you liked Gossip Girl or The O.C. you'll see a lot of familiar beats. If not, you might not enjoy it as much from a pure "comics fan" perspective.
