You know, it's funny, I really wouldn't have minded if all these characters made it out alive, because I'm not invested enough in them to think their deaths would be emotionally compelling.
But now that the writer has gone so far as to seriously injure so many of them, I'll actually be a bit annoyed if at least a couple of them don't die.
Chapter out:
Another one bites the dust.
Also, Emma ran out of time.
Kid or demon?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Aye… And my, things get a little bit easier with an adult in the team.
I like that Leuvis doesn't cry for his old pal but still talks fondly and respectfully of him, and shows a perfect understanding of his feelings.
…Between sensing auras and that classic move at the end, Leuvis may or may not be a rejected Dragon Ball villain.
Please oh please let the plan to take him out involve landmines :p So far the plan makes zero sense. Get the best markswoman you have in close range where he can tear her arm off if he sees her reach for a gun. OK, landmines, flash grenades and a trapdoor? Damn guy reacts too fast to everything.
Finally posted DB Scarlet Mirror: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13689952930A49781400&page=97#2423Just like Bayon, Luevis is going to be happy no matter what happens. Whether he kills all of them, or they kill him (which basically has to happen) he gets the hunt he's been longing for. The actual outcome is irrelevant to him.
Not quite. He for sure wants to win, as that could let him do this again in the future.

Sure he'd prefer to win, I'm sure Bayon would have to. But if he doesn't, he'll die happy, doing what he loves.
Honestly, I feel like there might be room for negotiation with Lewis. I doubt he's all that strongly in favour of letting the human world remain sealed off.
Like, from the humans' perspective, it's definitely better if Lewis dies, but if that starts looking like it's not feasible, it might be possible to convince him to back off.
Or, at the very least he might like the idea of wild humans being a thing like Sun-Jung, even if for different reasons.
It would be interesting if they could strike a deal with Lewis.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Not sure what he can provide in the plot that Son-Ju can't going forth.
So uh, Lewis confirmed to be ridiculously fast?
…Yep, a fucking Dragon Ball villain. Not even sure a fully trained and equiped adult commando would stand a chance. I'm surprised we didn't see Noname and Ray in this chap… You'd think Violet would have brought them with her.
Not really surprised that Emma tries to take the non-violent route… I'm rather surprised it took her this long. It's so much like her. It doesn't work, obviously, but it was an interesting scene.
I stayed out of this debate but now that we have people catching bullets, Neverland is becoming more like the typical Shonen manga every chapter. Whats next? The kids getting super powers?
Also, the author has done so many fake-out endings now that none of us should ever take the ending to any chapter seriously ever again since there will always be the chance the story will just revisit it next chapter. It is weird because when we factor in Writing for the Trade we get a "fake-out ending" about every volume. This kind of pacing will probably make book readers scratch their heads. "Why did we flashback again? I just read that scene 10 seconds ago!"

We have demons catching bullets. It's not like these are normal human beings performing superhuman feats.
Disgusted, but not surprisedAnd Leuvis is clearly a cut above the rest, anyway
The demon chasing after Ray also did a single stroke slash to decapitate and destroy the eye of the wild demon chasing Ray when they were escaping the Plantation. So he'd have to be incredibly fast to do that while it was chasing Ray.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. And what fake-outs have been happening? I don't know what that could be referring to, and your description doesn't actually match your words.
No fake-outs? Ray's self-immolation is probably the most egregious example so far but there have been others.
So? The point is a lack of trust.

...... That was a long, long time ago.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."But that's just one. I think LSBK is asking to be more specific about the "others", since the claim is they're so frequent out would make the volumes seem odd with how fast they come and go.
On Leuvis, he's the kind of guy who could only truly lose by being permanently crippled but still alive. Unfortunately, he has his healing factor so unless that can be disabled that just isn't happening. So he's in a position to win whatever happens.

It could be argued that there's a fine line between a "fake-out" and a "twist", though I'd say the Ray thing would definitely be the latter.
And things like that just don't happen as often as you seem to be implying anyway.
Is it wrong that I was cheering when he killed them all?
Cause damn we finally got some actual casulties here.
