Raiden (Edens Gate)-Wait, what?

Raiden's mouth opened a bit in pure shock at the request. The kid wanted him to punch her? What the hell? Where did that come from. Without even thinking about it, he raised his hands up in surrender.

"Woooh, ok, timeout, I'm not going to punch you, kid! Do you have any idea how hard I can punch? There might not even be a head left if I punch a non-cyborg as hard as I can!" He looked over to Genos. "Is.....is she ok? She doesn't have any kind of mental conditions I need to know about, does she? I don't see a lot of kids asking to be punched in the face where I come from."

Suika, Saloon
Suika grinned at Raiden's disbelief, laughing heartily as she patted his side. "And here I was, worried that you would punch something with the face of a child! Okay, okay, you're all good, then." She turned back to Genos, giving him a thumbs up, and looked back to her newly vetted metal friend.

"The only reason I asked you to do that is because we're expecting some cruel folk in a while, and they're planning on killing everyone here. Considering all the children that would involve, seeing if you showed hesitation was one way to see where your allegiance stood, right?"

She nodded with her eyes closed, trying to quickly come up with a really, really fast explanation on what was actually going on, especially if she herself didn't know what exactly was the deal here. "You see, that stuff with the cat guy and the "game show" from earlier, that was all real. Not a fake thing that's happening, because someone really did kidnap all of us and pitted us against an equal team of kidnapped people for entertainment! I don't know why anyone would find us entertaining, but them's the facts."

"Anyway, that other team is, as I said, gonna try and kill us sooner than later. We were just expecting them soon, so that's where the caution came from. Any questions, metal man?" She took out her gourd, having her throat a little-sorta-not really parched from that speech, and downed a sizeable gulp. Suika held it up to him, and said, "You want some sake, for that matter?"

Teppei, Goblin Form, Forest

Teppei leaned forward to get a better view at the small card the girl held in her hand. "Wow, really? You can do that? How much wood will it make? That could help a lot!"

The goblin-boy then looked back at the red-head, still amazed at how easily she was throwing around trees. It was kind of weird to see what looked like a normal girl doing it. "Do you need any...help doing that? If we finish these quick, we can start on the wall." It felt right to ask, even when she seemed to have no problems whatsoever.

The sound of footsteps in the grass caught, Teppei's attention and he turned his head to spot the strange teenager heading their way; His hooves making more grooves in the grass and dirt. Even he could tell there was something up with him, but he was helping them, so he wasn't going to say anything. The young boy furrowed his brow, looking around for a moment for anything. "Nope, at least I don't think so."

Jan, Off We Go!

"No time to waste, folks, UFO Lady's right." Jan nodded witha knowing smile. Penemue seemed rather disgruntled with the situation, but hey; at the very least he wasn't dying before the action, so why the long face - so to say?

"Dontcha worry, Penman. Now, enough fucking around. The dead won't dig themselves out." With that said - and hoping the others won't try to kill themselves dead while he was out - he shuffled over to where the graveyard was alongside his ghouls, their shovels and firearms, hoping the cyborg is right behind him and hoping that Kage and Juri will actually come over to assist with the digging once they get their sleep. Psh. Sleep was for the weak.

Graham

"I know very well the meaning of suffering, Father. I can understand her frustration." The bandaged man sighed as he watched Agnes leave. "Nevertheless, no matter how some of us may look suspicious to you, none of us wish you ill."

He nodded at the preacher's suggestion. "Then I shall depart right away. God protects." And thus Graham followed after Gemini and left the church, only to find himself by the saloon. Truth be told, he was feeling a little useless in this given situation, having nothing else to offer but his gun and his faith.

There was a new man, mechanized quite like Genos, although in an outlandish outfit. Judging by Suika's cheerful tone, he was no enemy of theirs. "Greetings. I hope I am not interrupting anything." He greeted the three with a small nod.

Solidus Snake, Shortarse Mountain

Solidus returned the stare, or at least a close approximation, but whatever disciplinarian fire he'd been channelling had cut him off. The girl's face was underdeveloped somehow, that was the problem, round and youthful even for her age - the defiant eyes, the wilful setting of a pointed chin, they'd sent his mind back to happier times in a far-off field, a further off war, another game of children's mutiny. It was in the way her nose wrinkled, the way she stopped just short of tiptoes. He'd stopped the chuckle halfway up his throat, just barely, but he couldn't resist the smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth.

"Clear enough for now," he said, voice painstakingly steady. "I don't want to control you, girl. It's like you said, we're not here for power games. I just don't want the headache if you turn into a liability."

Lune (Destroyed Abernathy Lumber Mill) - Trip Planifications

"Hmmm..."

Lune kept staring at the map while everyone else talked. It seemed the others were planning to split into two different groups, but she was still unsure of which group to follow... if any. For all it was worth, she was perfectly capable of simply entering the town undetected and starting to kill people here and there, but she wouldn't be able to finish the whole task by herself before the humans started figuring out something was wrong. Plus, there was clearly something else to the challenge besides "kill everyone", and that alone could be troublesome enough.

With the others... the situation changed. The humans would be too busy dealing with them, so she would not have trouble sneaking around. However, they would also be particularly alert, so it'd be more difficult for her to catch them off guard. Still, it was better a better option than just joining the rest and getting targetted from the beginning alongside them.

In the end, she made up her mind.

"Right, I'm gonna get going," she finally announced to the others, starting to calmly walk down the road headed towards the desert. "Try not to kill each other until we're at the place, okay?"

Superman

Outside the church/Fields

Power. Those that didn’t now the man of steel always thought he was all about power. But even in his prime there were others that dwarfed his powers.

Watching soar the skies made it easy to forget that power didn’t made him special. Anybody that is willing to stand up for others, for the weak is a superman in his eyes.

It was imposible to be next to a church and not to think about God. Many people had called him a god in the past. But he wasn’t a god. He didn’t see himself as one. He was just a man trying to help.

Back in Krypton many people, even the scientist, believed in the prophecy of Rao, and ancient Kryptonian god of the same name. His adoptive parents, the Kents, as old fashioned Kansas farmers, had taught him christian values. Then there were others that didn’t believe in God.

So many people had so many beliefs, some lacked them. It didn’t matter to him. He could understand the priest. He also believed in something greater than him. We all have a need to believe in something greater than ourselves.

Truth and justice. Those were higher than any man. Those were the values he stood for.

Superman had nodded to Agnes. He used his super strength to cut the trees of the valley one by one by the mere use of his muscles. One by one he used the tree’s trunks to stack them one above the other as a rudimentary wall outside the church. There wasn’t any time for any precise carpenter work. But he hoped that their weight alone could slow whatever they would face and keep them safe.

Genos—Eden’s Gate—I’ve Got My Eye On You! (No Offense)

Genos’ golden glare was hardly satisfied by the fellow cyborg’s reassurance, boring into Raiden’s eyepatch and lingering questioningly on his lack of a jaw. Genos crossed his arms, assembling a series of questions about the nature and consequence of the defense of humanity that he felt no true villain could answer, when Suika offered a far more brutish, if somewhat successful, solution.

Genos was far from convinced by the display, but it was just then that they were approached by what could only have been another group of heroes. He nodded to the bandaged man, then gestured to Raiden. “This man claims to be one of our allies, freshly whisked from his home to participate in our bloodsport. I have my doubts, but the the hour draws too near for us to be battling among ourselves.” He looked past Graham to the church, where the man-that-would-be-Sensei was busily building fortifications around the church. “Have we come to a consensus about defense? I’m afraid tactics are not my strong suit, but I will be more than able to hold a choke point for as long as I am able to function.”

If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~

Raiden (Edens Gate)-Very funny, kid

Raiden failed to hide his chuckles at the kid's insistence that this was "real", although he suppressed it quickly. "Real. Sure. You know, you sound really convincing kid, and if this wasn't some VR training simulation, I'd believe you."

Yet as she continued to speak, his hand clenched in anger. Now the mission was becoming clear. Something different from the usual VR training mission, although not an assignment unheard of for his old employer, Maverick. Defense of an underequiped employer against a gang of thugs. Was this some setup the Dockor had cooked up with them to convince him to come back?

Oh well. VR simulation or not, Raiden wasn't going to just stand around while people get slaughtered. Others approached, some guy in full face bandages had come over, and in the distance, Raiden could see what distinctly looked like someone right out of a comic book building a wall. He shook his head. Doktor had sure gone all out building this simulation, that was for sure.

"Well, I'm ready to get to work if you guys are. So the plan is to build defenses? Establish a killzone? Do we have somewhere set up for the non-combatants to take cover in?"

Sousuke - Forest/Mountain Path

"Affirmative," Sousuke replied to Teppei, continuing to march forward for a few moments before pausing again, and turning to address him, as well as Ranma and Sakura.

"Have any of you read the works of Ragnar Benson?" he asked.

Mountain Trapping

"Nah, ain't read no books about a guy named Raganaro Ben-san." The question was answered in a slightly brusque manner as Ranma carefully organized the large masses of falling obstacles in a seemingly chaotic but actually organized manner, one where one simply had to take a single piece out of said pile to cause the whole thing to go a-tumbling down. "I'm about halfway done with my traps so nah, ain't no problem fer me at the moment."

Staring at the log pile and then down the mountain to calculate the rough trajectories of the mayhem to be done, the pigtailed martial artist smirked. "If you guys plan to build a wall, maybe sneak some objects inside the thing so that whatever the enemy does to destroy it might damage them as well, like say stick TNT or bombs inside. Otherwise some of those superpowered freaks might just render the efforts moot in a few seconds. "

Menardi - Preparations

After having given the young mage all the jewels she needed, Menardi decided it was time to finish her own preparations. Going into meditations, she created four Elemental Cores of Jupiter. Out of all her third-level Summons, which was all she had access to at the moment, she did not expect that neither Mars nor Mercury would be much use. Venus, too, would be difficult to utilize properly here. But Jupiter...yes, there was a chance. However, she did make one Mars Core just in case. The spheres of pure elemental power given life were hidden away in her longcoat.

Next were her armaments. These days, she didn't use a lot of weapons. She had abandoned her scythe long ago, when she had mastered the art of creating temporary weapons and shield from the elements. The limitless powers of Alchemy could do most things that a blade could do and better. However, that didn't mean that she didn't see the use of a proper weapon at times, and she had practised some weapon techniques to work in tandem with her Alchemy.

Using rocks from the cliff as material, she forged with Alchemy a pair of blades. One of them a long hook sword with a pointed crescent guard and sharpened hilt, the other a swordbreaker parrying dagger. The hook sword was meant for martial artists and the dagger for bladewielders, disrupting their attacks so that she could counterattack with Psynergy. But in truth, she had never practised her techniques against opponents of significant ability. This would be their true test.

After the metal of the blades had been strengthened and enchanted with her special mix of alloys and the edges sharpened to the best of her ability, Menardi's next stop was...the bar. She wanted a bite to eat before the battle started.

Sousuke - Forest/Mountain Path

"I understand," Sousuke replied.

"Very well then, it appears I will need to teach you advanced mantrapping techniques. I'll cover spike traps, pits, and snares in a moment, but first, it appears that you are attempting to gather logs in order to make a form of rolling trap. If you give me a moment, I'll show you a variant of a trap known as the Sheepeaters' Rockfall. The first step is finding a location with a grade of 25 percent or higher..."

He started mentally looking up the hill as he mentally gauged the distances and angles involved.

Graham

The bandaged man looked over at Raiden. Another cyborg, but he felt different than Genos. The denial was strong in him.

"Whether he believes or not is irrelevant." He concluded after a moment of inner battle, shaking his head. "As for your question..." Graham looked at Raiden before gesturing towards the church. "the church over there was deemed the best position to hide innocents in."

"I'm afraid I am not the one to ask for tactics. If you stumble into Sergeant Sagara, he had some ideas to consider. Also, if I recall, some of us are constructing a series of traps south from here."

Suika, All Over The Place
Not considering the sly accusation that she wasn't real, Suika was more offended that this newcomer completely brushed off her offer of a drink. Though, if he thought that she wasn't real, it was sensible: you obviously can't drink VR-Sake or whatever you'd call it, if it doesn't exist, right? Therefore, Raiden was less rude and more of a fucking idiot.

Without further ado, she said to Raiden, even if he wouldn't care about it, "Yep, the church seems stable, and I'm sure making it more stable won't hurt. That's what I'm off to do, and if you think that fancy sword of yours is any good at woodworking, you're free to join me." Suika took to the skies, not waiting to see if anyone would follow, and shouted down to the group below, "See ya in a few minutes!"

She touched down out in the forest, standing in front of the nicest-looking tree she could find, and prepared herself. It had been a while since she had felled trees like this, so she had to get in the right mindset. Square out your feet, hold your arms in the right position, take a drink, find the most advantageous place to strike, take a drink, inhale sharply, and jab the tree as hard as you can!

A few seconds later, the tree having crashed harmlessly a few feet away from her, Suika stood dumbfounded. She expected that punch to fell the entire forest in front of her. All she had to show for the most powerful strike she had to offer was one measly tree? What happened to her? As she tried to take the tree in one hand, and finding that she couldn't, she realized that she had somehow lost the better portion of her strength. Before, she was the one who shatters entire mountains...and now, she shatters lumber? How incredibly embarrassing! The most reasonable explanation for this was probably that their kidnappers must've sealed her power...somehow, she wasn't going to think about it.

After punching the trunk into more manageable pieces, she took one (finding it surprisingly heavy) and flew it off to the church, providing lumber for anyone's barricading projects. A good while afterward, having brought only a few entire-tree's worth of material, she clapped her hands and declared it a job well done. On the inside she was impossibly tired after just that minor labor, but it would only besmirch her reputation as the Strongest of all Oni to show that, so it was all smiles from her.

And then, it was time to drink. Before she headed to the saloon, however, her eagle-eyes spotted something of note in the clothing store that made her halt mid-skip: off, hanging on one shelf, left completely alone, was a mysterious ornament, the size of a dinner plate! Why it depicted a man straddling a bull was of no concern, because as she inspected it's backside, it's true purpose became known.

It was the gaudiest belt buckle any man, youkai or child had ever seen.

She couldn't not wear it, considering all the others getting into the spirit with their ridiculous garb. It just spoke to her on a personal level, and considering she couldn't wear the many cowboy hats lying around without cutting holes into them, she settled for this. Afterward, with a piece of chrome-polished metal big enough to block bullets hanging from her belt, she went back to the saloon and got proper drunk.

The Next Morning

As sunrise rose over the town of Edens Gate, the villains drew near to the town. They had separated into three different groups. Those who elected to leave early with Jan to aid in his plan to raise the dead would find their task had gone more or less as planned. With the graveyard far enough away from the town that it would had gone unnoticed by any of the heroes in their current positions, the group had amassed a grouping of about 25 shambling ghouls, one of who had a large, dirty button that proclaimed "Mayor" on it.

Those who left later had split into two groups. One group, the one who planned to follow Aria's plan of aerial bombardment from the cliffs, were currently about 15 minutes away from their target. If they had chosen to follow the river, the sounds of the water beginning to fall over the cliffside would alert them to this fact. Otherwise, any attempt to figure out the remaining time would be based on guesswork from the map. Opposing them would be the team who had chosen to work on the church wall, with the church being directly next to the waterfall and more likely then not to be the first target, and anyone who tried to do anything with the waterfall cliff.

The other group, those who were going to follow Tira's plan of a more direct assault, were only a few minutes away from Ramma's log trap, and if Ramma or anyone with his ambush group had particularly keen eyes, they might see the group walking down the path far in the distance.

The viewers of Nemesis were now on the edges of their seats as the main event was set to begin.

She tosses the card in front of her and twirls her staff.

She hits it with her staff and a beautiful green skinned dryad appears. She gives a soft smile before disappearing under the ground. A few seconds later several trees branch-less trees ending in sharp points pop out of the ground, ready to be cut.

Menardi - Eden's Gate Cliffs

After having left the rest of the preparations to her teammates (if they really needed her help, they could just ask), Menardi had decided to take up position on the cliff before dawn. Not a lot of the others seemed to be capable of flight or teleportation, so she'd volunteered. From her position near the waterfall, she could see the whole valley, and she didn't have to go far to survey the cliffs either. And there was plenty of raw material for her techniques as well.

All in all, Menardi was a happy camper. In addition to having had a hearty breakfast, she had been able to persuade a local woman to bake her some snacks. The locals had given her some incredulous stares, but finally someone had volunteered. And so, Menardi was at her post, in a comfortable chair made out of solid air, behind her personal shields, happily enjoying a whole apple pie to herself. Her pockets were full of biscuits as well, for later.

The Villains could come whenever, the way Menardi saw it. She was ready for them.

Nue - Dawn of the Dead

Nue had decided to leave with Jan. There was so much fun that could be had with zombies, after all. Still in her shape of a tall cloaked woman, she planted a few Seeds of Non-Identification in a couple of them, but didn't activate them right away. Best if it was a surprise to everyone~

Suika, Right Outside The Church
Having gotten proper drunk a few minutes ago, Suika was now getting some proper shut-eye, lying against the old building. This was a literal case of shut-eye, because Suika wasn't the kind of gal who needed to sleep, and instead was just chilling with her eyes closed.

The sun coming up managed to rouse her to activity, as she opened her eyes and looked out on the town, which was still intact. She wondered what was taking these marauders so long to get here. A while ago, she expected to get stopped in the middle of drinking, and here she was, hours later and still not a peep from them.

Suika got off her lazy bum and looked around, taking a traditional waking-up swig, and slowly elevated herself skyward. She didn't have anything better to do than watch duty, so she might as well take as high of a vantage point possible and scope out the area.

Penemue, Dead Group
Having spent a good deal of time desecrating graves and watching people suck fluid from corpses, Penemue's attitude wasn't much better than last night. At least now, with the town in range, they could get around to mindless killing instead of mindless small-talk. The people in his group were better than Tira, but only to a degree.

Not accounting the corpses, which he felt would be more like means of drawing attention than a combat asset, and the mysterious hooded woman who wasn't of much help digging, he only had a few people to rely on. He might as well be going it alone. With his sword, his bisected gun, his pilfered shotgun and his training, he was going to have to singlehandedly prove how full of shit this woman was.

Penemue stopped in his tracks and looked skyward, temporarily ignoring the light moans of the zombies around him, and offered a brief, silent prayer to the Secreta. Oh, to the Fathers of my kind, the Secreta, give me a steady hand to work with...and patience. I will require it, if I am to show the might of your Divine E.Y.E. to these unknowing people, and to work with their strange ways.

...Whether or not they had heard it from wherever he was, it wasn't obvious. He sighed, and shook his head as he continued forward. Penemue wondered if even they knew what was going on right now. He turned to Jan, and politely asked him, "How much longer do you think we'll be walking, you necrophiliac? My feet aren't tired, and yet I am anyway."

Chun-Li, Eden's Gate

Chun-Li spent most of the time awake trying to help train the people in this town in both martial arts and the art of gunplay. She was talented at both, and she did not want to leave the town defenseless when they would all eventually move on. Once she was satisfied with how the locals had progressed in the art of self-defense and she had a good meal and a good night's rest, she had returned to look at the waterfall cave to find Menardi sitting nearby eating an apple pie. Chun-Li remembered Menardi convincing one of the locals to make her one and frowned slightly.

"You know, I have a recipe for crepes if you're interested," Chun-Li offered to Menardi, wanting to have some friendly small talk. She was unable to locate Ranma and unable to bear talking to Sousuke. "You've not lived unless you've had crepes."

Juri, Team Zombies Yay!

After having slept, Juri helped Valentine and the others dig up ghouls, though it was obvious that she was bored throughout the whole thing. It didn't hamper her work on it, but it was obvious that she would rather do something else than dig up bodies from the ground. It did seem they were able to get 25 ghouls including the former Mayor for their undead army.

"So when will we be kicking ass?" Juri asked Jan, joining Peremue in his questioning.

Superman—In the middle of the town.

The Speech

After Superman had finished helping building the wall, he decided it was time to call the people. He tried to convince the priest to reunite the most people he could. If he didn't agree he would do so himself.

Superman would try to talk to the most people that would hear him. He would use his enhanced lungs so his voice would be heard. Everyone around would be able to hear his words with the strength of a megaphone but with sweetness of a butterfly.

He wasn't flying rather he was in the ground in the middle of all the people. Everyone that wanted to approach him could talk touch him and talk to him if they wanted.

"I know you are scared. Let me tell you a secret, I am scared too. But there is something evil fears no matter the form it takes: The will of a good man—The tenacity of a good woman. For no matter how thick darkness is, no matter how much it consumes it cannot stand the light. Even a little spark in the void always prevails. You are the light in the night. Together we will beat the evil that wants to prey on us,"

"I promise to you that no matter what happens tomorrow. There is always hope." Superman smiled.

The man of steel tried to hug all the scared children, smiling to them, letting them know that they had a future.

"You are all under my protection. As long as you need me I'll be there—always," he told everyone.

Kage - Undead Team

I was glad enough to see the sun come up. Being so close to sorcery made my skin crawl and as I looked at the corpse army we'd assembled, I felt dirty inside. I was tired, digging wasn't easy work and my arms were sore, but I was ready to go and get this fight done with. Just one more fight. I stood up and unlimbered my lasgun one last time and made sure my other new weapons were loaded and ready. The purple xeno's squad ought to be just about in position on the cliffs by now, but I didn't dare break radio silence to ask. And Smiley's little psycho warrior band should be smashing up against whatever pickets the other team had put up in the forest. That left us to come in from the flank and hammer these fraggers until they broke. Suited me just fine.

I stood up, clicked the selector lever over to semi-auto, and fell in not to far from Pen. For all his lack of sense, he was more a soldier than pretty much anyone else here. He and the fistfighter, whatever her name was, asked Eyeball when we'd be getting into it.

"Soon as we get there," I answered for him, to stop him from coming back with some sarcastic reply that didn't actually say anything. "How about you send these rotters ahead to draw fire and we'll follow from cover to pick off anyone they flush out?"

"Crepes...that would be those thin pancakes, right? I used to eat them now and then back in New York."

Menardi sat eating in silence for a moment, thinking back to those days. The possibilities...the power...the food. Even though she recognized that she had been in the wrong back then, she still found herself longing for that kind of position again now and then.

"Are they difficult to make? I am not very much of a cook."

Jan, En-Route to Eden's Gate

What a wonderful morning.

In spite of others' grumbling and whining, they've managed to gather a small group of ghouls, each outfitted with a revolver or a rifle. They even got their hands on the ex-mayor. Jan could only ponder how much he'd like to be reunited with his family.

"Chin up, folks. There'll be dudes left to kill." The vampire nodded, continuing to twirl his lever-action shotgun. He outfitted himself with a number of guns apart from his usual tools-of-the-trade - and some more bullets courtesy of the red-haired guy. Nothing quite said bling like capping fuckers with golden rounds.

Kage was kind enough to reply for him. That man was a treasure. "You've heard Colonel Kilgore, folks." He grinned. "We can't be too hasty, else we'll just bop into Tira's Killsquad and then they'll herd us like a bunch of fucking sheep."

"But then again, I'm not much for tactics." Jan chuckled as he snapped his fingers, causing the ghoul group to pick up on their pace. The increase was... noticeable, at the very least, with Brooks-ghouls and Mayor-Ghoul leading the swarm. "See you there, folks." And now it was time to address his undead retinue as they began moving ahead of the rest of the ambush company.

"Alright, my bitches, ten-fucking-hut!" He began snapping the rhythm with his fingers, drawing ghouls to form into a double-line right behind him, guns ready to blaze away at anyone he pointed at. "The class assignment for today is to kill every single motherfucker in that shitty city, torch every single fucking shack and skullfuck what's still alive and kicking. Bonus points for any family of our lovely Mayor here, particularly if you let him do the family-bonding. Sound good?!" The horde raised a low collective moan of approval.

"Then let's get to killing."

Graham, together with Supes

"And the light shineth in the darkness... and the darkness comprehended it not."

Graham didn't get much shut-eye, just the bare minimum he always took. Awake when it was still dark, he prepared for the morning and for the ensuing firefight. It was pleasing for him to know that these people were not strangers to a loss of innocence. That made things that much easier.

The objective was to have at least one survivor, but Graham knew this would not be satisfying to just about all members of his team, and it certainly would not be satisfying for him, on top of not being morally right.

"We will do our best to ward you from the monsters at bay." He spoke, arms folded as he stood next to Superman, refraining from hugging someone. If Mr. Kent was the good cop, he was probably the bad cop. "But if we are not there, you will have to steel your hearts. A kill in righteous purpose is nothing but a chore. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Think of them as pests to weed out."

"God protects." He wasn't really good with speeches. Now all he needed to do was to do what he was good at; shooting other people. Thus he made his way to where Ranma and the others laid out their trap.

Venom Snake - Eden's Gate, Before the Siege

Snake had climbed the cliff hang a story above the bar and looked out into the distance and saw another one of his teammates have done the same. He figured he would find a good sniping point, since infiltration was far too risky, especially his potential target just died recently. He took out an electronic cigar, brought his iDroid up to the tip, and had smoked it, letting the chemicals alter his perception of time until he stopped at the crack of dawn.

The Day of the Siege

Snake had looked on as a man in a superhero costume had delivered a speech to instill hope into the people accompanied by the man in bandages. He took out his M-2000, pointed at the snowy mountain path and looked for any enemy coming this way.

Metal Face - Path to Eden's Gate

The death machine walked among Tira's group and sees the village, inwardly smirking. He turned to the motley crew of killers and spoke, "I'll go first. I can take what these fools can throw at me." He advanced towards the town, as well as the trap Ramna set up.
