Lucina, Team 1

The taguel girl gave Scott a brief glance. The boy was incorrigible, but she couldn't help the corner of her mouth quirking into a faint smile.

"You need not worry yourself on my account!" She said, her steely expression returning as she looked back towards the foe. Three of the wolves charging directly for them, one of them wounded. Scott leapt to intercept the latter, so she had no choice but to join him. They would have to have words about his recklessness later.

Much like Scott, she advanced on the second wolf, waiting for it to attack before diving under its claws, rolling and coming up behind it. In one smooth motion, she turned and slashed at the back of the wolf's ankle, Falchion's preternaturally sharp blade biting deep into flesh and tendon. Another step and turn to the side, using the momentum of her first swing to place herself for the second. Her blade slashed at the other ankle, and she disengaged, circling around the beast at a safe distance and turning to face the other two wolves.

Tucker's charge, Tali's instructions, and the other beasts were at the edge of her awareness, only spared the flick of her peripheral vision for now. These three wolves must be slain first. If she retreated now, Scott would be overwhelmed.

Carmilla & Sypha, Team 2

"Oh, please..." Carmilla rolled her eyes at Lady when she threatened her, but signaled for Sypha to run over to Carmilla. Both followed Lady after Lady and Delta ensured that the tank would never be moving again. However, Carmilla had suspected that Lady might be a demon herself, so it was time to press on that point.

"So tell me, Lady," Carmilla began asking Lady, smirking at her. "I saw you damage a brick wall with your fist, so I am curious how exactly a mere human like you could do that?"

Carmilla wondered what sort of answer Lady might end up giving for her obvious strength. Sypha remained quiet, though she was keeping her eyes on Lady all throughout this.

Lady (Team Two)-Explanations

"Oh, what, I can't press you on being a demon, but you can press me?" Lady asked, clearly annoyed. Then she sighed. "Whatever. One of the things you don't get to choose in life is family, and one half of the family is total crap. That is to say,my father happens to be a demon."

She quickly held up her hand before Carmilla could say anything. "Let me finish, no I don't really know how that even worked, I never really asked mom those kinds of details. I never knew him because that filthy scum walked out on us before I was even born. Mom always insisted he had a good reason, but the fact of the matter is he abandoned us and left us to fend for ourselves. Then other demons who he pissed off came for us and murdered her. Apparently he has a habit of pissing off his fellow demons, if the ranting I've heard from some of the other demons who can speak is any indication."

"Because my father was a demon, I seem to have inherited a couple of his latent demon powers, and as far as I'm aware, I'm stuck with them, no mater my feelings on the source. Luckily, they come in handy for murdering demons, and I find a bit of amusement in turning demon powers against the demon scum I hunt. That answer your question, demon?"

Elesis (Group 2, Liberty Street) - Scrutiny

Elesis was... perplexed. There was no other way to say it. Witnessing a woman from the group simply grow a large pair of wings and basically tackle Lady to the ground was not something she had expected, and it took her a few moments to process what she had just seen.

Once she did, however, she almost instantly arrived to the conclusion that she did not like it.

Humans did not suddenly grow wings with no explanation. Either they did not grow wings... or they were not human. Furthermore, only a few types of beings were human-looking but with that kind of wings... and they were far too dangerous to be allowed free reign.

Fortunately, the tank had been mostly destroyed, crushed, and was currently being kicked by a clearly annoyed woman. Also, Lady seemed to be mostly fine, so Elesis merely glanced at the others before she followed the rest of the group. But even though she remained a fair distance behind them, her eyes were still completely locked on Carmilla's back, waiting for any suspicious movement, any provocation, any misstep... frankly, any reason to simply rush forward and tear the woman to shreds.

Carmilla & Sypha, Team 2

"Because you are liable to shoot me, that's why!" Carmilla retorted almost instantly at Lady. "I kept quiet about it because you threatened that other demon, but yes, I am a vampire, but don't think I am going to drink anyone's blood here."

"Meanwhile, I just saved your life and revealed what I am, despite the fact that you'd want to shoot me because of what I am," Carmilla noted to Lady for everyone to hear. "I would at least like to be on neutral terms with you and the other demon hunter in our group."

However, Carmilla did get a victory in her mind... Lady was Half-Demon but was in denial about it, claiming to have only gained some demonic powers from her father when that was not how demonic heritage works. However, Carmilla did not decide to press on this point since the Crazy Lady would try to shoot her.

Team 1

Squinting her eyes in concentration as the clone saw that her job just got way easier due to a sizeable chunk of furry hellspawn grouping together, a dangerous glint could be seen in her gaze even as she slowly crouched and got ready for her last hurrah by grabbing kunais in both hands. The hard part was yet to come though, the ninja had to be able to get close enough to do the most damage to the most individuals once she set off like a literal bomb. Simply running forward like crazy might invite suspicion upon her, that she had something up her sleeves. Acting skills came in handy at this time as she continued to slowly back away to cover the runaways while making sure they kept her in sight at all times.

When the group was close enough to her that she could simply bound forward into their midst in one powerful leap, that was when the moment of opportunity came. Slamming her feet on the ground and then putting all of her weight on the toes for initial purchase, the blonde then pushed off with all her might and rocketed toward the transformed beasts like orange blur, twintails trailing behind like a trailblazing comet. "BUNSHIN DAIBAKUHA!" As she willingly destabilized her own existence via slitting her own throat, she used the last few seconds of her life to perform a rapidly spinning aerial somersault that careened her now compact frame towards the center of the druids. And then... the explosion happened, strong enough to rattle what few glass was still left on the derelict buildings as a visible shockwave expanded forth at high speeds in a sort of expanding bubble that would crack the pavement and kick up liberal amounts of dust.

Team 2

While everyone else was either bickering around with each other concerning demons (the originator took a couple of indiscreet steps away from those belligerent women) or trying to double tap the giant metal carcass of the boomboom-box with wheels, Naruko simply stood in place with a thoughtful expression on her face while looking around at what scattered parts of the construct weren't set on fire or about to explode. Summoning a small dog sized toad with a drop of her blood from a punctured thumb, the girl kneeled down and encouraged the specially called for summon to do his thing.

Simply put, said toad was a special variant from Mt. Myobuku that had a stomach that operated on the same logic as her summoning scrolls, namely that the inside was way bigger than the outside. A sticky tongue flicked out to reel in the debris of the rather tough tank metals into the recently acquired amphibian, the thing happily pulling in things that weight a lot more than its total body weight with a slight bulge in its cheek before swallowing and sending it to a hammer-space. The girl's logic being that with the metals so tough, they could be refitted into either armor or weapons once people got to locations with people or objects that could work with said material. Or sell said material for some handy Ryo or whatever monetary value they had around the multiverse. "Eat up, little guy. This'll be pretty handy for the future.~"

Team 3

The second Naruko clone had a bit more misfortune than her originator or the suicide bomber sister copy, due to her being in midair to perform the Rasengan on the now downed dinosaur. This of course made her a sitting target for the vengeful soldier that was directing something that seemed like a lightning jutsu at her. Given her relative height and the fact lightning was pretty damn fast, she doubted she could move out of the way in time. So she just kinda chucked a kunai as close to where the mage was emitting the attack and then a second one for good measure to try to hit the rather clear target in her vision. Either way, it'd either be her imminent destruction or a mutual kill considering her throws had enough power to embed the ninja tools two inches into tree trunks.

Conan Edogawa - Team Two/The Skirmish - Delta's Portable Distracting Note-Taking Scavenger in Chief Detective

Even as he looked around, he began growing rapidly concerned. He could see the friction between Lady and Carmilla, not to mention he could recognize the distrust in Elesis' eyes. Conan was amnesiac about his life, but he sure as hell knew enough to get by.

And honestly, this didn't look so good.

His expression changed more when Naruko summoned a toad and told it to eat. Figuring that meant he could probably be done with his part of the scavenging, he quickly darted back along the roads towards Delta to rejoin her. Even though that would take a moment probably since she was attacking a tank... As was Ami...

Sighing, he got his datapad and wrote, letting it speak for him.

Guys come on, its dead. Of which we should probably be glad...at least, I hope its dead...

Toriel - Team 4, Theater

She heard the child that previously panicked spoke her name as "Child." The queen thought that the name was rather strange, but she must think some others would think "Toriel" was rather odd. She spoke to Child, "My name is Toriel." She spoke to the voice above, "How close are we to this 'mobile base' of yours?" She hoped to get some more answers from him as so far, she is willing to take his word, even for a moment.

Asuka, Team 1:

Asuka almost comes in first, defeated by Tali's extra joints. By the time she realises the bar is too too tall to vault it's altogether too late, but the wings of adrenaline refuse to change course. Instead she improvises with one of the stools, just barely, stumbling badly over the pump marked Pißwasser and landing on her hands and knees after colliding with the wall just upwind of the idiot, bruised and swearing.

Above the gunfire and heartbeat, his words fail to really register, but she reorients quickly enough; there's the kitchen, filling quickly but otherwise exposed, and there's the table. Understanding dawns, strategy on its heels. She doesn't smile, but there's an urgent arch to her her eyebrows - idiot blundered his way into something smart. Their choke-point isn't tight enough.

The wings are growing shaky now, writing cheques her body can't cash, but they carry her all the same. She comes down behind the table panting faintly, gives Shirou an instructive kind of glance, and pushes her shoulder firmly up against a jutting leg.

Then she gives him a glare, and tries again. After a second of mutual straining, the table finally begins to cooperate, scraping along the floor at an unsteady grind. Somehow, Asuka finds the time to look back, eyebrows knitted deep.

"What... hell did you do this thing?"

Lady (Team 2)-Not falling for that

Lady had to resist the urge to laugh in the demon's face.

"Neutral terms? With a demon? How stupid do you think I am? The only reason I trust you not to try to stab me in the back is because I'm pretty sure everyone else here would kill you if you tried to kill me or anyone else. That doesn't make us neutral, and if you think I'm ever going to think otherwise, I really am going to laugh in your face. You evil, murderous bastards deserve nothing less then to be exterminated. You keep the hell out of my way or I'll be sure to send you back to hell in a matchbox!"

With that said, Lady stormed away, now clearly quite furious.

She heard the cow lady call herself 'Toriel', which was a pretty weird name (sorta sounded like the Spanish word for bull). Then again, people probably thought Child was an odd name. She almost had half a mind to pull out her notebook and just idly write down that name when Toriel asked a question to the voice in the theater. "I'm guessing close. I hope it's close. If it's close, I think we can make it. No one here attracts a lot of attention."

One finger pointed at the guy with the flag. "Except for him. He should go first. Will totally attract all the gunfire."

Group 1 - The Beasts

Tali's drones found a target: the wolf Tucker had kicked into the building. It had emerged during Tucker's barrage at his bear, and tried to sneak up on him. The electrical shocks did nothing but stun it and slow it down, but the flamethrowers made the thing run down the street, it's fur aflame.

Spawn would find himself in a mixed situation. The bear that had flung him was now charging straight for him. Normally, this would be entirely bad, if it wasn't for the thing that clattered to the ground beside him. The previously-dropped sniper rifle had been flung towards him by Naruko's explosion. It's scope now had a hairline fracture, it's stock was slightly scorched, and the damn thing was battered all over, but it was serviceable.

The wolf took Scott's slash in it's stride, and turned to face him after it passed. At least, it tried. The blood loss was making it sluggish, and that sluggishness was fatal. Scott's Power of Heartbreak stabbed into the beast's shoulder, snapped it's collarbone on the way through, and embedded itself in the creature's heart and lungs. It started to change back into a green-clad man right under Scott.

Lucina was also successful in her strikes. Her wolf was hamstrung in both legs, and collapsed to the ground. She shifted back into human form, pulling a handgun from her side, and fired off a trio of shots from her position on the ground.

However, the third wolf that was charging them slipped past, and into the restaurant. It paused for a moment, trying to pick out the easiest kill, before charging straight for the table Shirou and Asuka were pushing.

Finally, Naruko's explosion had it's intended effect. Two wolves were all but vaporized in the blast, and another four were tossed aside by the force. Even one of the bears staggered, some of it's fur aflame.

A quartet of wolves, those furthest from the blast, including the one Tali had shotgunned in the chest, stumbled their way through one of the restaurant's windows, snarling at the occupants but not attacking.

Tucker - Group 1 - The Beasts

To recap: Tucker had just emptied an entire magazine into the chest of a bear. It didn't even flinch, and charged.

The DMR went over his shoulder, attaching magnetically to his back, and he picked up the device on his thigh. With a crash of energy, a two-pronged sword of superheated plasma lanced out of the device, and he raised it as he ducked under the bear's swing.

There was a howl, and not a lot of blood, as the might paw fell to the ground, detached from it's owner.

The bear leaned down to roar at Tucker in defiance and displeasure, and the pervert stabbed it in the face in response.

This, however, caused him to miss the bear's next strike. Despite it's death, the paw still had enough momentum to finish the next blow.

Tucker was sent flying straight through the window of the restaurant the others were taking cover in, and he rolled to halt, breaking several tables.

"Yeah! I got one!" He said, filled with bravado, as he shakily stood up from the mass of wooden debris around him, trying to lean on his sword.

The sword, being superheated plasma, cut straight through the floor, and sent him falling to the ground.
Group 2 - The Skirmish

Lady's grenade exploded inside the tank, and sent shrapnel bouncing around the destroyed inside. There was nothing it could do that hadn't been done to that section of the tank already.

Conan and Naruko's toad would find pretty much nothing. The area had been picked clean after every battle, and despite the tank's destruction, not much of it's armour had come off. What little scraps Naruko could find were actually hardened ceramic.

Delta's drill punched straight through the now-brittle ceramic, but bounced off the thin layer of rubber that lay beneath it, and thus did nothing to the titanium and steel that lay beneath that.

Ami's kicking did absolutely nothing but piss the mech off.

The spider-tank-mech whirred back to life and staggered back it's feet, the destroyed turret falling off, raising Delta atop it in the process. A nearly-invisible seam on the underside of the tank split open, and the panels pulled inwards, into the hull. A huge gatling cannon extended out of the hole in the bottom, and it moved it's aim between the Alternates, the secondary AI system unable to decide between targets of priority.
Group 3 - The Patrol

Mitsuhide's strike cut straight through the armour, bisecting it from shoulder to hip. The two pieces fell to the ground, and unlike the rest of the knights, finally fell unmoving as the various pieces of the armour fell apart.

Megaman's fire kept staggering the knights it hit, but only that. He was doing no permanent damage whatsoever, just stopping whoever he shot from firing.

The Brontosaurus dropping had several effects. First off, the fire incoming on Jack-O died down, and combined with her maneuvers, she could easily find more stable cover. Saint Walker's wall had no real effect, as the Brontosaurus dropped straight down. The wall did however stop Tommy's neck from crushing a pair of knights. Didn't stop it from crushing a third, though.

Both the witch and Naruko's shots were thrown off by the drop. The witch's lightning flew past Naruko's head, close enough to make her hair stand up. On the other end, Naruko's kunai shattered her crystal-tipped staff, and stuck in the heart of an old wizard behind her.

The remaining five wizards disembarked the platform, landing in a crouch beside the unconscious body of the Brontosaurus. All that was left on the platform was the dead wizard, the unconscious wizard, and the unarmed witch, who could do nothing but bellow insults, curses and obscenities at Naruko.
Group 4 - The Theatre

"We don't know where the mobile base is. It's being obscured from Heimdall's sensors. That's why we've sent the three teams out, to find it."

Team 3, Up Close and Personal

Rock notice how his shots were merely staggering the walking armors instead of doing actual damage. The robot master decided to rectify this by running towards the armored knights while still firing on them, and them punched one right in the chest as hard as possible and then did a roundhouse kicked into the head of another.

One of the main reason Rock preferred to fight opponents that were human at long range was because his strength and his body being made of durable metal meant he had the very real chance of injuring, maiming, or even killing human opponents in a straight up fist fight, even when holding back as much as possible. Since these knights were merely suits of empty armor probably brought to life with magic, Mega Man felt he could go all out on them.

Lady (Team 2)-I want one

Lady turned back around as the sounds of the tank getting back up were heard.

"Oh god damnit, are you kidding me?"

As she quickly yanked her rocket launcher back off her back, she felt an inexplicable pang of jealousy toward the mech and its giant gatling gun, only thinking that she wanted a giant gun like that. Hell, a tank would have been nice too, she'd never gotten to drive or fire one. God only knows what a tank shell to the face would do to some of the bigger demons she faced.

Getting herself back on track, she took aim at the next most glaring weak point after the top, the legs. As much as she knew movies and crap liked their walker tanks, there were practical reasons military forces never took them off the concept phase. For instance, it was really hard to armor a leg and still leave it able to move.....well, like a leg. Thus, she took aim right at the "knee" of the leg, and fired her high powered missile directly at it. Not knowing Delta's name, she had to resort to a hastily made nickname to get her attention as she fired.

"Hey, scuba head, get off that thing or hold on, it's about to go down!"

Hopefully her allies would pick up on the potential weakness of the knees as well.

“Cut them down!” Mitsuhide shouted. “They do not reanimate!”
That done, he glanced around quickly to take stock of the battle. It seemed that the sorcerers were busy, so he stayed away from them and focused on the armours. He aimed himself at the closest one and charged, his sword making an elegant circle in the air followed by another diagonal slash.

Spawn - Team 1

By an act of God (or Malebolgia), a sniper rifle landed in reachable distance to Spawn, the very weapon that Susan mentioned to him earlier. The gun was in poor condition from the explosion that flung it into Spawn's grasp, and he wasn't actually trained to use such a weapon. But with an angry werebear lunging towards him, looking thirsty for blood this time, he didn't have a choice. Spawn clumsily looked down the busted scope, aiming for the beast's head, prayed to a higher power, and fired a single shot at the werebear.

Conan was...pretty done with this now. He had just gotten back towards Delta and now he was turning tail and running again. But he looked back repeatedly, hoping Delta was getting down from it since Lady had fired another rocket at it. Unfortunately the looking back eventually made Conan trip, at which point he went sailing a couple feet across the pavement, though airborne due to his light weight. Quick thinking led him to turn himself in midair to protect the datapad he was carrying...and thus he landed solidly and squarely on his wooden back only a couple feet away from the mech.

Delta - Group 2

Letting out growl as the tank rose once again, Delta figured that the giant gun barrel and tank were enough of an 'I TOLD YOU SO!' to everyone who had been relaxing. This large gun reminded her of her own machine gun, simply on a massive scale. Which meant that she swapped out her drill for her rivet gun, an idea taking place in her mind.

She leaped at the barrels, wrapping her legs and left hand around the weapon to stabilize herself. She used her right hand to heave her massive rivet gun right up against the metal of one of the barrels. It had been designed to punch through multiple sheets of thick steel at the bottom of the ocean, and she had a gut feeling that this barrel hadn't been built with the assumption that somebody would be using heavy-duty construction equipment to pierce it at a right angle and immediate distance. Pulling the trigger, she started laying down rivets as fast as she could into as many of the barrels as she could.

Lucina, Group 1

Lucina had squared off against the third wolf, only to snap her eyes around as she caught movement in her peripheral vision. The wolf - no, the woman now - that she had disabled, reaching for her belt, drawing something compact and metallic. The taguel reacted without thought, throwing herself to one side as the weapon barked once. Rolling to her feet, she closed the distance to her opponent with a lunge, ignoring the wasp-sting of pain in her side as the enemy fired again, her booted foot swinging to knock the gun away before the third shot could find its mark. Without losing a moment, Lucina slashed downwards on her way past, her blade sweeping in an arc that bisected the prone soldier's gun arm, chest and neck.

Sucking in a breath, she skidded to a halt as her foe collapsed behind her. She could feel warm wetness soaking through the left side of her tunic, and the sting of a wound numbed by battle-focus, but if she was still standing she would fight on. There was no time for relief yet - she'd been forced to allow the third wolf to pass her while she evaded those shots. With Scott's opponent falling a well, she turned to pursue-

In that moment, Naruko exploded. Lucina gasped and stumbled, the shockwave rolling over her like a breaker on the shore. By the time she'd righted herself, ears ringing, the enemy in the street was in disarray. You may have been merely a shadow, but thank you... Tipping her blade in salute to the fallen clone, Lucina took stock.

There were now five foes between them and the the rest of their band. They could attack the beast-men from behind, but that would prevent their allies from firing into the pack. Better to pick off the stragglers out here for now, trusting in the others to handle the enemy for now. Her eyes settled on the were-bear staggered by Naruko's final blast.

"Scott, with me!" She called to the other swordsman, flicking Falchion to one side and advancing on the bear.

Tali - Team One - The Beasts

Thankfully, it seemed enough of the team had stayed outside to harass the beastmen to stop them from simply overwhelming the defenders inside the building. That might change at any moment, but for now, they were holding. The view from Tali's sentry drone was encouraging. She didn't even have to retarget her combat drones as their current target fled, they automatically switched to the next nearest target. Then Tucker came flying in through the window, shortly followed by five more of them, but only one was hurling itself into a headlong charge.

"Suppressing fire!" she called out, taking aim at that wolf, "Aim for their heads!"

She sighted in, her shotgun's barrel narrowing to account for the greater distance and friendlies in proximity, and fired two more incendiary, armor-melting rounds at its face. A second thermal clip spun through the air to join the first on the floor as she reloaded.

"The table? Told you already, Soryu. I Strengthened it."

I clamp my hand around its other top leg, pressing Fang's hilt against it, and heave with all my might.

"Oi," says Fang.

"I mean, made it more like a table."

Somehow, we're moving it. Not sure how. It skids and screeches against the floor, a bit like Fuji-nee's nails. On a blackboard. On the first Monday of term.

"I mean, got it harder. Like a table should be. It's magic. Neat, isn't it?"

One last heave - there. Now we've got something to block the doorway. I let go the table-leg.

"By the way, this is Fang. Fang, Soryu. Soryu, Fang. Look, there's two more of her."

"Hussy."

"And she's very happy to see you," I say earnestly. "Wolf."

It barrels into the table, growling, but it might as well be trying to give concrete a noogie. Then it rears and snaps at me, jaws slavering.

(This is what happens in my mind's eye:)

I reach over and down and stick Fang deep into the werewolf's throat, twisting her, pushing through the soft bits where nerve and tendon meet. It's not about strength, only timing and angle and a firm grip. Anything with legs can only turn so fast, and at this point it's pretty much swallowing my sword.

(I shoot Fang #3 through its spine, too. Just for good measure.)

Ami - Group 2

"There we go!" Ami whooped. The fact that she could very well die here had been all but forgotten in the thrill of the fight, that rush she loved so much.

In a blur of motion, Sensou took her from standing right next to the rising tank, to crouching several feet back, half behind the cover provided by the rubble.

"Atlas." With that incantation and a snap of the albino witch's fingers, the atmospheric pressure around the gatling cannon increased exponentially. For the next thirty seconds, the device would be incapable of moving. Hopefully, that included firing any bullets.

"Aero!" Another incantation, and whirling blades of wind began to rush through the air, aiming to slice the tank to pieces. The razor winds were particularly concentrated on severing the legs and the gatling cannon from the rest of the machine. It hadn't had much effect last time, but Ami was pretty sure that Aero was more likely to hurt the tank than punching it.

Scott, Team 1 - Feeling Cheated

Scott's gleeful expression at landing a killing blow on the wolf quickly turned to confusion, and then anger, when it didn't burst out into coin; Instead just changing into a bleeding dead body of some guy. "What the fuck?! Where's my loot?!"

Almost snarling, The young man kicked the body once in the hopes that it would burst, then turned and stalked away when it didn't; Grumbling under his breath.

It was at that moment that Naruko detonated, hitting Scott with a shockwave that had him crossing his arms protectively in front of himself as the force slid him backwards a short way. He barely even blinked, his anger making it unimportant. He was going to keep killing these things until they actually dropped something. The rabbit girl's call gave him a target to focus on, and he sprinted towards the staggered were-bear with his blade held to the side. "You better drop something good, or I swear..."

Even angry, the young man knew not to get in the way of an allied combatant, and so left space for Lucina as he leapt at the bear, sword aimed at its throat.

Conan Edogawa - Team Two/The Skirmish - Delta's Portable Distracting Note-Taking Scavenger in Chief Detective

As Delta attacked the thing again, Conan managed to get back up and scamper back off to where the main core of the group was. His blue eyes were rather wide and he looked around at everyone else before slowly just...watching everything unfold before his eyes.

There was really nothing left to do...except wait until he could rejoin Delta at the shoulder.

And in this heart, our bond cannot break. From here to the end and back again I will stand sharp. The light in me will guide you home...
