Team 4

Child's first act was to remain as calm as possible. Kidnapping. This wasn't a big shock. She had heard about kidnappings, studied them, even asked Sy to try and kidnap her at one time. She had to be ready for every possibility, right? Even if her father used whatever money he could get his hands on to find the best protection for her. At some point, someone would get to her. So she had to be ready.

"GET BACK!" She yelled, her voice cracking as she reached for her pistol, fingers trembling, immediately forgetting everything she had just told herself. Within instants, she found the nearest corner and shoved her back against it. If they couldn't get to her back then she was in control and control of situation was right, right? Right, right, right—

Will's explanation (because she didn't want to call it an infodump) did some wonders at calming Child down, even though she ignored him at first. Not because it made sense (in fact she wondered why would you tell the people you want to trust you that you were sabotaged) but because it sounded just like the thing her father got through. And if her father got through it, then she could get through it.

Her fingers stopped trembling, but they were still wrapped around a weapon. She looked at the people around her, trying to assess who she could trust, or at least 'trust'. "Can they come to us?" She asked out loud to Will. "We will stay here in case someone else shows up and they... come to us." It sounded like a good idea (or maybe she just didn't want to leave her back uncovered and was starting to like this spot in the corner).

Scott, Team 1

Scott was glad to see that some people in the group weren't afraid to actually fight. Probably most surprising, was the cripples being one of the few to actually attack the wolves. Though, the chick ran off afterwards which was pretty pathetic.

His attack was halted as he did a double take at the armless guy. Not only did he now have a sick looking machete, but he could apparently summon more of them. The man gawped for a moment. How come he got the cool special ability? It looked like he could barely even use it! Like he was going to pass out! Maybe it was a teachable skill...

Or...maybe a skill book to learn it would drop if he di-

His thought was left unfinished as he was suddenly grabbed and jerked backwards, away from the fight. Stumbling to try and regain his balance, Scott opened his mouth to tell whoever it was where to stick it, when he noticed it was the bunny-girl swordsman. The affronted expression instantly changed into a kind of goofy grin. She was pretty cute when she was being serious, and he willingly let himself be led.

With a final shove she let him go, and turned back to face the fight. Instantly, he moved into position beside her with his sword in a similar defensive position; the goofy grin still on his face. "You know, if you wanted to fight together, you could have just asked me. I wouldn't have said no. Just, don't be too upset if you can't keep up."

She looked like she knew how to hold a sword, but he was amazing with one and he didn't want her sad because she might not just be as good. He'd still thought she was hot and cool.

Tali - Team One - The Beasts

As the rest of the group took off sprinting, Tali mashed her fingers down on the triggers and slung the two grenades into the air behind them as she followed. They detonated with a searing flash and a dense cloud of smoke that briefly engulfed her, then she burst out of it. The quarians had evolved out on the plains and deserts of their homeworld and they could run when they felt the need. As she ran, she took aim at the creature closest to blocking their way and her shotgun boomed twice in quick sucession, the barrel automatically widening to account for the close range. There was no time for anything more, if she was quick enough, she could make it past the others. But only if.

Not-Quite-Team Four

Ghost? Where are we?

Eriana held out her right hand, and from her upward-facing pawn appeared the little polyhedral machine she had called in her mind. After looking around for a moment, her little pyramid-points shot out in surprise, revealing the spherical 'eye' within. Sorry boss, must have been a transmat error! We may have been intercepted, I'll sta-

The little machine was cut off by a voice issuing from speakers situated around the room. A startled-sounding person told them to hold fire, then started explaining their situation. Eriana's Ghost flew up to one of the speakers and scanned it, muttering to herself about how relics should be left in peace. Eriana herself had trouble restraining herself from reaching for the sword on her back. Razelighter's flame comforted her, and she was feeling pretty on-edge at this moment.

Mercifully, the speech didn't last terribly long. As Eriana sighed in relief, one of the other individuals in the theatre stood up, but said nothing. Aside from the head it looked humanoid. What kind of abominations did they put her with? Before she could think too long on the matter, a young girl shouted and backed into a corner, reaching for a gun.

Eriana stared at her through her pitch-black faceplate when she responded to the voice. "So we're looking for three groups and a vehicle, and you don't know where to point us." Still staring at the panicking girl, she assumed the stance of someone holding a rifle in a relaxed pose. The Fang of Ir Yut flashed into existence in her arms as her Ghost flew down to hover over her shoulder. "Think you can point me to the roof?"

Reimu - Team 1

Reimu opened fire with her twin revolvers as battle commenced, aiming and firing one gun at a time as she cocked the gun in her other hand. As she retreated swiftly towards the doorframe as planned, with no decrease in firing speed even as she moved, she made sure to distribute her shots across all the beasts she had a clear line of fire to. If her .45s were effective, she wanted to make sure to dissuade as many of the beasts as possible as they got into a more defensible position.

Shizuka, Group 1 - Oh My

It felt pretty nice to be appreciated when the group was able to sneak past the guards. Honestly, before this she had no idea she could turn that many people invisible. Something good to know for the future. Shizuka didn't even mind the silence for the next part of the trek to where ever they were going, she was actually in a good mood now. Didn't get to last long thanks to the howling of course.

Several of the others started planning on holding up on a pile of rubble and group up. The Joestar wasn't so sure that was a good idea with how many of them weren't so great at fighting, but these people had a lot more experience than her so who was she to argue. Scrambling over to hide in the middle of the group, the young girl had to peek out around Tali to get a look at what it was that was coming to attack them. Needless to say, she kind of wish she hadn't. If anything made it hit home how far out of her depth she was, it was these things.

"Holy Shit!"

Horrendous mountains of muscle and fur burst their way past cars like they were knocking over a bunch of sand castles at the beach. Shizuka stumbled back in fear, really hoping none of them were looking at her. The others seemed to share her surprise at this, as the plan surprisingly suddenly shifted to running away into a building. A plan she was fine with anyways. She hastily picked up a rock, because she needed at least a rock or something, and booked it for the doorway. The way she saw it, she didn't really need to out run these things. Just everyone else.

Independence Hall, Philadelphia

"Is she sedated?" A man clad in silver clothing studied the scene outside, his expression unreadable.

"Of course, Mr. President," replied a man in a remarkably similar outfit, his silver hair styled after the President's own. A thin moustache was one of his most distinguishing features. "We have ensured that she is docile as a winter catfish, as per your wishes."

"Excellent. Keep me updated on the situation," said the man at the window. The silver haired man's response was lost to posterity, however, as the man at the window spontaneously disappeared.

Team 4, Theatre — Funny Valentine

One moment he was in Independence Hall. The next, he was not. For anyone else, it would have been rather disorienting, but to Funny Valentine, 23rd President of the United States, the main confusion came from the fact that he certainly hadn't activated Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Travel to alternate universes tended to lose its surprise when you could do so on a whim. Far more interesting were the gathered ensemble in the dilapidated theatre: a girl, a masked woman swathed in robes, a man in a strange costume, and a bizarre goat-human chimera dressed in the manner of royalty. The surprises kept coming as he learnt that their merry little band had been chosen to recover a woman known as Rook, their respective universes were at risk of collapsing, and that capturing Rook would help them protect their universes. The rest was, so far as he was concerned, somewhat immaterial. It would be hard to ensure a golden age for America if his universe was destroyed, Corpse or no.

The chimera seemed stunned, and the girl took the news very badly. In fact, the only one who seemed to have anything approaching a plan was the masked woman. Valentine decided the best policy was to be proactive. Keeping his expression neutral, he produced a neatly folded American flag from his coat, which he then gently unfolded. To anyone familiar with America, they might have noticed something striking: the stars were arranged in a circular pattern rather than the more familiar lines. Jerking the flag into the air, Funny Valentine dived under it just before it touched the ground. Rather than conforming to his body, the flag instead lay flat upon the floor. It lay there for a few moments, and then the flag abruptly launched itself into the air.

Where there had once been one Valentine, there were now two, each the spitting image of the other aside from the fact one was carrying a revolver inlaid with silver and which had an ivory grip. "Dojyaaan!" exclaimed Valentine, snatching the American flag out of the air with a flourish. While he proceeded to meticulously fold the flag, the other Valentine looked in Child's direction. "The woman has the correct idea. If there is access to it, I shall join her on the roof." He nodded toward his other, revolver wielding self, who returned the nod. He knew what he had to do. While Valentine was up there, he would keep an eye on the girl to make sure she didn't do anything foolish in her panic.

Queen Toriel - Team 4, Theater

Toriel looked over the assortment of people, a man in a black bodysuit, a masked and robed woman, a man in white with blonde hair, and a child. To bring a child into a warzone would normally infuriate the queen, but as it stands, confusion reigned supreme for the moment. She turned her attention to the child when she broke down in fear and pulled out a strange contraption. Her hands were raised to her chest to show that she did not mean harm, but still attempted to calm her down, until the voice from above had done so. However, the tension was still high from other places, such as the aforementioned warzone.

She turned her attention to the man in white as he pulled a piece of cloth enough to cover his body, the pattern in an symbol of which Toriel was unfamiliar with. However, she noticed that the cloth laid flat on the floor and from the space between, the man came out with someone that appears strikingly similar, if not the same. As the lady in the mask suggested going on top of a roof, one of them suggested to go with her. She decided that she would stay inside, if outside was any indication of the voice's story.

It seems that now is the time to speak, and thus, Toriel spoke to the group, "If what the voice told us is true, I would suggest we trust each other. I believe introducing ourselves would be the best start. I shall let one of you start." Her voice was soft and controlled, trying to break the tension and ease them into the situation at hand, masking her concern.

Susan, Team One - The Werebeasts
A split-second decision: leave right now and reach probable safety with the rest of the group, or stand still and have guaranteed safety in the hole?

Of course, the second option wasn't even guaranteed. Did she really have these few extra seconds to stand alone? Would these things be smart enough to wait outside of the gash for her to come out? All of these reasons and more influenced her body to turn away, as the rest of the group shot their guns, threw their bombs, flung their swords and picked up their Scotts.

Susan flew along with the rest of them, moving as fast as she could to the provided cover - but not before leaving a little bit of a parting gift. She materialized a good deal of blood in the face of the werebear that was staring her down, trying to blind it and once again befuddle its sense of smell (though that didn't work the first time, just roll with it, she wasn't thinking here).

Team 1 - The Beasts

Overall, if someone decided to count, there was twelve wolves, and four bears.

Tali's flashbang had less of an affect than she expected. This was because as soon as she threw the devices, the assembled monsters put their giant paws on their heads, covering their ears and their eyes.

It appeared that they spoke English.

Asuka's shot hit their targets, tearing a pair of holes in the Wolf's neck. It growled a deep, wet growl, before charging on all fours after the young girl, blood already soaking it's fur from the veins and arteries she had torn. As a result, it was also charging towards Lucina and Scott's rearguard.

Shirou's shot, on the other hand, had a more immediate effect. The Wolf dropped, dead, the bone cleaver embedded deeply in it's brain. If any stuck around to watch, they would see it shrink in size, losing mass and fur, until all that was left was green-clad man with a sniper rifle slung along his back.

At this point, Tali's smoke grenade and Naruko's pepper bombs came into effect. The two wolfs atop the buildings across from them leaped down, moving to assist their snarling and whining friends.

A wolf that had moved to block the doorway tasted Tali's shotgun, and was flipped head over heels halfway down the road. Though it lay prone, it didn't become human like it's deceased comrade.

Reimu's shots staggered each wolf and bear it hit, but didn't do much besides. Another two wolves broke from the pack, charging towards her, and as a result, Lucina and Scott's rearguard.

Meanwhile, the bear Spawn was taunting charged forward, and swung one massive paw at the demon, aiming swat him down the street.

The bear that Susan poured a hose of blood at didn't even charge. It just stood there, confused, as if it was mentally asking itself "Did she... Did she just shoot blood at me?"

The rest (by my count, two bears and nine wolves), moved forward slowly, flattening Naruko's caltrops beneath their paws. Instead of the blind charges of their comrades, they recognized that going alone would just leave them to be targeted one at a time, and instead they moved as a single wall of fur and muscle. Naruko, being the furthest forward of anyone staying outside, had the eyes of many of them.

The door that the group had run for lead into a restaurant. A pair of glass double doors and a two large windows made up the front facade, and there were already several bullet-marked tables overturned for use as cover. Further in, at the back wall, was a bar and a few doors leading to the kitchen and bathrooms.

Tucker - Team 1 - The Beasts

Time slowed down.

Okay, to be completely fair, it didn't. But the thing about AI was that they thought so much faster than normal humans beings that time was always sort-of slow to them.

"I would suggest that Captain Tucker follows the alien's course of action. A bottleneck-"

"I disagree."

"In all respect, Sigma, I do not trust your judgement."

"I am not the same Sigma as the one you're basing your judgements on, Delta."

"You are a copy of the original Sigma."

"The original Sigma wanted to reach Metastability by rejoining with all the other fragments, including the Alpha. That goal is now... impossible. Our mission is to protect the Simulation Troopers. With us being separated from the majority of them, that mission has been reduced to Captain Tucker. Protecting Captain Tucker also protects ourselves."

"...what is your suggestion?"

"The mass and numbers would render such a bottleneck useless. Even if the enemy isn't bulletproof, their musculature would slow the velocity considerably."

There was a pause, as Delta ran a quick BioScan to confirm Sigma's words.

"Correct."

"The herd must be thinned to render a tactic effective."

"You suggest that Captain Tucker should remain outside? Would that not contradict the alien's direct order?"

"Tell him to explain his actions. If he succeeds, his reputation within the group will be raised. His previous actions have not made him appear competent. These actions will. This will increase his chances of survival."

"Your suggestion is... logical."

Time went back to normal.

Tucker moved to follow Tali's orders, heading towards the door.

This tactic will prove ineffective. The herd must be thinned.

The aqua/teal/turquoise marine stopped in his tracks as the voice entered his head.

"What?"

A set of diagrams appeared on Tucker's visor, showing how the creatures could bypass the bottleneck.

The numbers must be reduced.

A second diagram, this one showing less enemies, showing the bottleneck working.

"How am I supposed to do that?"

There is a limited number of ursine enemies, yet they contribute the highest mass. Removing them would even the odds.

More diagrams, these ones showing various maneuvers Tucker could take to kill a bear or two.

"Hey, wait, this is stuff only a Freelancer can do. And I'm not a Freelancer!"

Captain Tucker, Project Freelancer was based around taking exceptional soldiers, pairing them with artificial intelligences, and giving them exceptional abilities. You are an exceptional soldier. You are in possession of multiple A.I.s and abilities. You have defeated multiple Freelancer-level enemies. For all intents and purposes, Captain Tucker, you are a Freelancer now.

Tucker paused, and turned to face the horde. For as much as they scared him, for how many of them were assholes, for as much pain as they had caused him and his friends, he had to admit one thing:

Freelancers were cool. And cool guys got chicks.

"There's too many of them! I'm gonna try and thin them out!" He called out to the others, though more to Tali than anyone else. He didn't know why, he just felt that he needed to.

He braced himself, bending his legs and lowered his head, just like one of those diagrams had said. Maneuver #57, his memory supplied. With a blur of teal and rush of wind, his speed boost activated, shooting him towards a wolf. A jump and a midair turn sent him flying towards the wolf-feet first, the impact connecting and sending the wolf flying through the front of the opposite building.

Tucker made a three point landing and stood, opening fire on one of the bears. The first two shots hit it in the back and got it's attention, the next two embedded in it's flank, and the remaining ten did nothing to stop the beast's charge.
Team 2 - The Skirmish

Lady's rocket was what ultimately felled the mech.

Although Ami's razor winds cut a few more grooves into it, and Naruko's oil fire blinded it, Lady's rocket struck the fatal blow. The explosives punched through the thin top armour, and cooked off the rounds contained in the various autoloaders.

The result explosion would have sent the tank's turret skyward, but Nightwing's Humvee smashed it downwards almost as soon as it took flight. Instead, a jet of flame lanced upwards and outwards from everywhere that the seal between turret and hull wasn't tight.

The tank crashed to it's belly, the legs giving out from the strain, and lay still.
Team 3 - The Patrol

The Knight that Mitsuhide charged raised it's rifle horizontally, aiming to block whatever slash or stab the samurai was about make with it's own weapon.

Rock's charged shot sent the Knight he had hit with it flying like usual, and it was sent tumbling down the road the Alternate had come from. His lemon-shots staggered more of the Knights, interrupting their fire.

However, almost as soon as he asked the Wizard how he was (given that the man could not be younger than 60, the answer was likely "not well"), Mitsuhide's sword beam struck. It tore the man asunder, leaving little more than a bloody smear and body parts.

Naruko's efforts had a mixed result. The Holey Knight distracted her attacker, but if she peered behind herself, she might notice that despite two separate holes in it's torso and quite a bit of crumpling, the Holey Knight was still moving.

In fact, that was the same for all damaged Knights: no matter how crumpled and bent the armour had become, they were still rising to their feet, slowly but surely.

Her shuriken glanced off the Brachiosaurus' neck, but the Rasengan proved to be super effective. The Brachiosaurus's neck snapped sideways from the force, before the movement travelled along it like a snake. It's tiny little brain smashed against it's thick skull, and unconsciousness came at a flick of a switch. Almost as if in slow motion, the Brachiosaurus began to collapse to the ground, threatening to crush anything below it.

"TOMMY! NO!" Came a woman's shout from the Wizard's platform, and a young witch snarled with rage before sending a bolt of lightning shooting off towards Naruko from her crystal-tipped staff.
Team 4 - The Theatre

"It's a warzone out there, and if the mobile base is damaged on it's way to pick you up, you'll never leave here. It's safer to actually go to it."

"As for the other groups, we know where they are. We can point you towards any of the three. And the roof can be accessed from a ladder in the alley next to the building."

Once they left the cinema, they would find themselves in a ruined cityscape of concrete and glass, rubble, bodies and wreckage scattered across the streets. The cinema they had arrived in was short and squat, and it's roof level sat well below that of the surrounding buildings. Thankfully, these surrounding buildings also had alleyway-based ladders.

Lady (Team 2)-More demons. Great

Lady had not been expecting to be tackled out of the air, and the bat winged woman came as a bit of a suprise to her. Of course, her first instinct was to shoot this woman until her head was little more then pulp for putting her hands on her. Then she saw the yellow van....thing slam down on the tank, and became annoyed. Wonderful. She had been saved by some demon. This was going to take a while to get over.

As for the woman herself, now that she was up close, he could see the rather pale skin. On top of the bat wings, Lady suspected she knew what she was dealing with. She had never seen a vampire in person, had assumed they were some long extinct variant of demon. Yet here one was, she knew of few other thing that could grow bat wings and walked around in pale skin. Lady quickly noted the lack of effect sunlight was having on her. Assuming she had not made an incorrect guess, it seemed not every fact she knew about demons was accurate. Still, she doubted the woman was immune to bullets to the brain.

However, as much as she was itching to pull the trigger, the woman had a very good point. This was not exactly the ideal time to be attacking someone who she had been with for several hours now without any signs of hostile intent. There was much more immediate threats around to deal with. She started walking to the tank, stopping to glance at Carmilla.

"I'll let it go. For now. You did save me from being hit by that yellow thing, so I'll overlook what you are for the moment. But don't think this is over, demon. If I see so much as a hint that you're eyeing up someone on the squad to drink their blood, I'll make you regret ever setting foot outside of the demon world."

She took a second to glance at Sypha, guessing she was also a vampire, or maybe her thrall? That would explain why she seemed to be glued to Carmilla ever since they arrived. Then she walked back over to the tank. The turret had fallen down on the tank, and it seemed to more or less be completely obliterated. Still, Lady had not gotten this far by taking chances. She popped open a pouch and pulled out a frag grenade. Never hurt to be sure. Taking a moment to aim, she tossed the grenade directly into the large hole her missile and the loss of the turret had created, then turned around and started jogging away without bothering to wait for it to blow up.

"Alright, come on, we still have half a street to cross!"

Conan Edogawa - Team Two - Distracting Note-Taking Scavenger in Chief

Conan watched as the tank fell to Lady before getting smashed by whatever it was that Nightwing threw at it. He wasn't sure, and he really didn't care enough at the moment, as he carefully hopped down from Delta. He was thankful for her protection, but it was time for him to carry a little weight of his own somewhat. And he knew he could rejoin her easily. Rushing from her, only bending down briefly to turn a small knob on each of his shoes, he began running around the street. At about the pace of an expert track and field runner, perhaps even the pace of a pro soccer player...Conan was darting around the street checking for salvage.

He was also drawing in his notebook, sketching out a map of the area as he could see it for now. He had started it on the way, before all the battles had distracted him. He was thankful for all of his pockets; the two in his jacket and the two in the shorts he wore. Storing the talking datapad in his coat while he ran about, he continued to sketch the area's basic mapping rather decently for a rushed pace. He dared not slow down for long, not even when checking stuff out... After all, he was sure they didn't have long until something else showed up to try and kill them.

Anything useful that he could find -if anything- was immediately picked up and collected.

And in this heart, our bond cannot break. From here to the end and back again I will stand sharp. The light in me will guide you home...

Tali - Team One - The Beasts

Tali burst through the door, taking in the interior of the bulding at a quick glance. Those tables are no good, they'd just get smashed under a charge from those things. That bar might hold up though, and that other door will make them come at us one at a time if things get too close. She leapt up, sliding over the top of the bar and spinning around so that she ran into the wall behind it, facing towards their enemy. The sentry drone's viewpoint screen and her sensor screen both showed the enemy wasn't blindly chasing after them. She had another ten seconds or so to think. She racked the action on her shotgun to reload, the spent thermal clip ejecting with a quiet hiss of venting heat to clatter on the floor like a red-hot coal. Then she thought again.

At about that point, Tucker's voice came over the comms and on the sentry drone's viewscreen, she saw him match action to words. Impressive. And all of it in the hands of A.I.s. Good thing they're on our side for now. And he was right, double doors and two big windows wasn't enough of a choke point for that much weight coming at them, all at once. He was taking an insane risk to cut down their numbers, though. She needed to help. A few tapped keys on her omnitool and the two combat drones left behind began moving to support Tucker, not too fast, but then, he hadn't moved too far. If they got close, they could deliver lethal electrical shocks, or at least lethal to most species, unprotected. And they could spout flame for a short while. They might help take a little attention off him. She pointed towards the door that led into the kitchen.

"Anyone without a ranged weapon, through there!" she shouted, "Kill anything that isn't us that comes through that door! Everyone else, here! We'll set up a firing line until the others get through, then we follow them! Concentrate your fire if you can, we need a lot of firepower to kill these things!"

A distant part of her mind, keeping an eye on the sentry drone's viewscreen, noted that the animal Shirou had killed was a human now, but filed it away to care about later.

Bank Brawl

Mega Man flinched when the old wizard suddenly explodes from sonic slices aimed at it.

"What the Hell man?! We could've gotten info on where our base is!!" Rock yelled at Mitsude. There was a loud slamming sound, and Rock looked up, seeing that the brachiosaurus was knocked out and falling over. Thanks to previous experiences with dinosaurs, the Robot Master immediately realized there was no way he could brace the impact of the beast falling over on top him without him needing extensive repairs afterwards, thus he decided to run away from the thing before it fell, sliding and firing upon the knights again.

Team 4

Child's gun went from 'teammate' to 'teammate'- the only one she skipped over was Valentine, of all people, but only because she moved to point at the other Valentine- her eyes following suit with glare after glare. "I... I..."

She took a deep breath, looked at her team and just raised one eyebrow. "I'm very, very confused."

Seemingly calming down, Child lowered her gun, though she made no strides to put it back on its holster. With her nerves slowing down, the young girl took this chance to assess the situation. "We're a bunch of different people... taken from all over the multiverse... to help in a quest. I've heard this story before."

She pointed at the ceiling, her way of referring to Will. "Alright. Let's do what he says- for now, at least." Finally holstering her gun, she walked over to the rest of the group, giving them a slight bow. "Sorry for... for freaking out. Suddenly reappearing in another place is really, really weird. My name is, uh..." She glanced to the side. "My name is Child."

Spawn - Team 1

Spawn was just a split-second too late to react to the werebear. Instead of hitting the beast in the eyes with a blast of necroplasm-fueled magic as he planned, Spawn was instead struck away from his attacker. His spell hit the pavement harmlessly as he was flung away. Thankfully, the bear didn't hit him with its claws.

The Hellspawn's flight was broken by a pile of trash and rubble in the street. The landing was rough, and for a second, he was completely unconscious. Spawn woke up dazed, and staggered up out of the garbage, groaning. He felt a great pain in his chest, and one of the skulls decorating his shoulder was cracked from his landing. As his vision cleared, he noticed that he was now too far away to engage the werecreatures, and sighed.

"I need a damn gun."

Scott, Team 1 - Beastly Brawl

The sudden charge of the bloodied wolf set Scott's blood pumping, and an almost impossibly wide grin split his face as he kicked off from the ground and sprinted towards it; His sword held ready in front of him. "Here we go!"

Watching the wolf closely, the young man would expertly juke to the side of the wolf at the last possible moment, and drag his extend sword across the beast's side. Once behind it, he would quickly spin himself around while still sliding a short distance, and leap at its hopefully exposed back.

Delta - Group Two / The Skirmish

With the tank seemingly defeated, Delta took off sprinting after Conan hopped off of her shoulder. She charged at the ruined tank, and jumped at the ruins of the strange machine. The others might be willing to drop their guard, but Delta didn't trust turning her back on anything that she didn't definitively know was dead. Until she was holding the corpse of whatever was driving this thing, she was going to assume that there was someone inside, they were alive, and they were armed.

Scrambling to the top of the machine after waiting for Lady's grenade to detonate, she pressed her left hand against the metal and flared out an icy Winter Blast at it. After giving it a good couple of seconds to let the metal freeze and maximize its brittleness, she stood up to her full height, holding her right arm up and revving up her drill.

"GRARGHGHGHGGH!" she roared as she brought the drill on her right hand down onto the metal with a heavy thrust.

Conan Edogawa - Team Two/The Skirmish - Delta's Portable Distracting Note-Taking Scavenger in Chief Detective

Conan turned slightly when he saw that Delta was once again attacking the tank. For a moment, he didn't understand why, but it came to him soon enough. Continuing to draw the map, trusting that she definitely had his back, Conan continued to explore the surface grounds. Though he currently couldn't seem to identify anything very useful, he didn't quite give up on looking around at everything yet.

And in this heart, our bond cannot break. From here to the end and back again I will stand sharp. The light in me will guide you home...

Susan, Team 1 - The Werebeasts
"There'sasnipergunonthatcorpseoverthere" Susan yelled over to Spawn before ducking into the restaurant, compressing her statement for the sake of time. Time was of the essence here, but it wasn't like she could not be helpful to someone like that.

The restaurant had probably seen better days, of course, and if she was the one running it this place would still be up and bustling, no matter the fact that there was a war going on. There'd be soldiers from all three sides here, sitting in harmony and consuming the beef, lazily whiling away the hours and pretending they weren't mortal enemies a few minutes ago. It would be nice, but she didn't have a time travel machine (or any intention of starting up a interdimensional franchise just yet) so that dream would have to wait.

Susan took the advice of the armored shotgun woman to heart, moving into the kitchen. It wasn't sanitary at all, but maybe after this they could clean up and eat something together. Susan shook her head, trying to get these wild ideas of reviving a bombed out eating establishment out of her head, and positioned herself above the door. She peeked out from the top of the doorframe, looking to the rest of the fight.

Emiya Shirou; Group One - Or, Bone-Sword Party All Night All Night

The werewolf crumples as Fang #4 caves its skull in. Its death-whine spurts out with a gout of pinkish-red, like salmon. Its fur starts to slough, like a melting artichoke. Then it's not a wolf, but a man in green with a rifle on his back, his head splattered all across the concrete like a grape.

It's alright, I guess. I'd feel worse about it if I hadn't learnt to choose.

"Oh, look," says Fang, "it's that Soryu hussy."

Don't call her that.

"Still true. Just let her be eaten, why don't you? It's all she's good for."

We're in the restaurant. I scramble behind the fallen table closest to the kitchen door, ramming my stump into it like a rubber stamp.

Come on, Fang. She's only got one eye.

"Yeah, must be real nice, having those. Listen, I just tell it how it is."

Go tell her that.

"I'm a sword, Master. I can't actually talk."

Not with that attitude.

"What?"

But I don't respond. I'm feeling the battered woodgrain, working out just how much prana it'd take to make the table harder than steel. Just enough, it turns out.

"Trace..."

The Magic Circuits stop about half a centimeter from my left shoulder, teased and tangled like strands of burnt steel wool. But it still feels like they work. Like they still flow into my phantom limbs, twisted like woody rosebush wires. And as my prana surges down like green fire, I tell myself that they do.

"On."

The table runs with lines of green, fibres compressing like a flame-hardened stake. I lean into it with all my might, teeth gritted against the burning in my mangled, non-existent arms.

"I Strengthened the table!" I scream. "Soryu, get behind here! Now!"

"I don't think she knows what Strengthening is, Master."

What? I mean, isn't it obvious?

"I'll shut up now," says Fang, sinking sulkily into my grip.

Team 3

Jack-O' had no time to consider the injured wizard before a barrage of heat nearly washed over her. She had put up her barrier just in time, hoping to deflect the initial blasts.

She took one glance at where the fallen wizard had been...

("Oh, he's a stain on the ground. Oh well.")

Moving on, Jack-O' knew that she could not reliably move with her barrier up. She considered moving in to protect Naruko, but wasn't that one a clone anyway? Realizing that the Brachiosaur was beginning to fall, the bounty hunter used this opportunity to move around the falling figure and gain some cover from the countless fireballs and lightning bolts that were sent her way.

Walker - Team 3

Seeing that his shots weren't having much effect, and preferring a less combative role anyway, Saint Walker flew to the side and attempted to devise a plan. Those close to the falling dinosaur, whichever side they were on, were in notable danger so that seemed like a more pressing concern. He flew out of the line of fire and created a new construct, a sloping wall positioned where the Brachiosaurus was falling; he couldn't make a construct big enough to actually catch it but if he could just slow its fall and push it a little, anyone too close could get themselves out.

Ami - Team 2

Ami alighted on the ground next to the tank, and her wings disappeared. She was breathless, exhilarated and laughing madly.

The adrenaline pumping in her veins... that was everything. It was the thrill of the fight, of danger and violence, that she lived for. The shock and trauma of having seen someone die in front of her earlier had been forgotten in the rush.

And then the rush was gone.

Ami kicked, with some force, what wreckage was left of the walking tank after its destruction and all the double-tapping.

"Come on!" Kick, "Is that all?" Kick, "That was boring!" Kick, "Get up and fight some more!" A stomp this time, for variety.
