Agnes - Reimu Hakurei Special Defense Force

With most of their foes defeated, save for the select half-dozen before them, Agnes reached down to retrieve her hammer from where she had set it down. Her hands held onto the familiar weight as she twirled the weapon idly in her hands and surveyed the battle. Beside her, the Ancestral Laserdragon flared smoke out of its nostrils.

"Light, is it?" she commented at Astolfo's revelation. "Then we shall give them light until they are blinded." The hammer in her hands crackled with visible electricity on the head.

"You, get your guns ready," she said to Reimu. "I will use my hammer, the dragon his fire, and we shall illuminate those who approach. You must do that which only one trained in the art of epic fights can truly accomplish... shoot them in the back while they are distracted." That said, she hefted up her hammer and charged at the nearest Turok-han, smashing towards the ground with her hammer while the dragon blew fire on them, hopefully enough combined light to weaken them to external sources of damage.

Tessa - Flying Around

"Oh, right, you have lungs!" Tessa exclaimed. Pulling her left hand back, she opened up her palm in front of them to create an invisible bubble of outward-facing forces around them. Though the force generation wasn't visible, the sand now bouncing off of it made it seem as though there were an elliptical shell against an ocean of sand.

"Okay there! Sorry about that, I'll find it!" She nodded, her left eye's human appearance being replaced by the glossy glare of a spherical lens, a dark red light giving it a faint bit of illumination. Flying towards where the creature was hiding underground and rumbling about, she adopted a circular pattern to stay above the general area until it was the right time. "Electronic Conceal Counter System engaged. I'll tell you when to fire. And since you asked, Arms Slaves are the Armored Mobile Master-Slave System, large humanoid mechanized infantry units operated by a pilot. You can think of them as like big robots that people sit inside of to pilot. But if you make one that isn't giant, you have to think of a way to get a person to control it without a body, and then - NOW! FIRE!"

Elsewhere in the wireless spectrum, Dana's calm secretarial voice replied to Tucker. "Thank you very much for your commentary. The Captain is currently otherwise engaged, but all relevant information will be relayed to her."

Lady (In the air)-Talking during combat

Lady stopped coughing as the shield went up.

"Thanks, I won't even bother asking how the hell you're doing this shit, and no that's not an invintation to start talking about tachyons or particles or whatever-"

She cut herself off as she was ordered to fire, which she did, sending another high powered missile at the now much squishier target.

"Let me know if it finishes them, I still can't see it." Lady said. "So, what are you trying to say, what, did they like, remove your brain from your head and plop it into a robot body or something?"

Ratchet & Clank-Hell Beast Beat Down

The combo of Ratchet's and Lady's attacks really did a number on the big beast, making it even uglier than it was already.

This thing was definitely disgusting, but Ratchet had tackled gross jobs before (he seriously hoped he never had to deal with another brain as long as he lived), so instead he just grit his teeth. Besides, he wouldn't be much of a Galactic Ranger if he ran screaming at every incomprehensibly grotesque cosmic horror he encountered.

It was then the Hell Beast somehow managed to burrow it's way into the ground, and whipped up a massive sandstorm. In an instant, Ratchet's helmet sprung too around his head, the visor not only sheilding his eyes, but also allowing him to keep track of the Hell Beast's movement, as well as any severed tentacles still moving around, which Ratchet of course fired at to keep them off of himself. As soon as the ugly lug showed his head above ground, Ratchet was on it with his War Monger, firing a missile right at the beast's gaping maw.

Blair, Big Ol' Mess, Jack-O-Lanterns Exist For A Reason

The eclipse had come, and Blair stood in a pile of Turok-Han corpses. The few left gained in power somehow. She rode a pumpkin over to a certain pink blur, dismissing it and falling to the ground near Astolfo. "Hello~ Light, you said? I can do that. Pun-pumpkin-pumpkin!" Blair summoned about five small pumpkins, which lit up from their insides around the Turok-han. The pumpkins up in the sky remained there, far out of the reach of the sandstorm.

A small white blur threw itself at Blair, barking happily and wagging its tail. "Hello doggy. Hello, blood-stained doggy?" Shiriku wuffed again, the blood around his mouth seemingly doing nothing to dissuade from his happiness. The dog turned and leapt at one of the Turok-han approaching, demonstrating exactly where that blood had come from. Blair spun around, bringing her arm up. "Pun-pumpkin-pumpkin~ Smashing pumpkin~" A pumpkin sped towards the Turok-han at high-speed, and would explode as soon as it hit, if it hit (if it didn't hit, it would turn and attempt to hit the proto-vamp again).

Reimu Hakurei Defense Force starring Reimu Hakurei, Incident Resolver

...that was a dragon.

After spaceships, giant bird horses, robot people, animal people and tentacle monsters from the beyond, Reimu had thought she'd start becoming accustomed to these kinds of things. But nope. Metal fire-breathing dragon as big as a car still came as a surprise, and it took a moment before Reimu caught what Agnes was saying.

"Huh? Oh yeah, yeah. That sounds like a plan. Let's do that."

As Agnes charged forward, Reimu darted off to the side, trying to flank the Turok-han Agnes had set her sights on. Revolvers in hand, Reimu was ready to unload all twelve bullets in the back of the caveman vampire's head the moment it showed signs of weakness.

Samus Aran - vs Hellmold

Samus was forced back as the cephalopod shook off its shell and started a sandstorm. The creature going underground was a problem, as her suit had no subterranean sensors and her vision was impaired. When the monster attacked her, she could not dodge in time and was sent flying. Thankfully, her energy shields meant no real damage was done to her or the suit, but she had a limited amount of energy tanks and no way to recharge those while in combat. Switching to her Thermal Visor at least helped her keep track of her teammates, but unfortunately she could not communicate with them. Tucker was saying something, but nothing of immediate tactical value, so she tuned him out. She needed to anticipate the monster's movements and try to nail it while it was in the air. But how to figure out where it would emerge?

It was then she realized that Tessa and Lady were hovering in one specific place, with Lady ready to fire. Was Tessa capable of predicting the enemy's movements? Well, it was worth a shot. Charging up another Super Missile, Samus waited until she could see the backblast from Lady's launcher before firing.

Tali'Zorah - Thresher Maw Throwdown

At length, Tali fought her way free of the last stragglers leaving the battlefield and made it the last few steps to rejoin her companions. Her reward was a beach's worth of sand and grit howling through the air and pattering off her suit like a hard rain. But thanks to her IFF tracker and the still-functioning camera drones, she knew where everyone was, and given the massive volume of sand being shifted whenever their opponent moved, it wasn't hard for the cameras to predict more or less where it was coming up next, though the warning time was seconds at best. I'm starting to agree that the MAKO would be nice to have in a lot of situations.

She twisted the ammo selector knob and the hologram indicating incendiary rounds popped up on the side of her shotgun. First things first. There were still a few of those husk creatures running around. But the bigger problem was still the leviathan and its master and the former was the bigger issue. Think. Large opponent, limited time to hurt it, resistant to small-arms fire but basically a big sack of meat. Hydra missiles? Yes, but a last resort. Fire or ice? Maybe, but it'd take a lot of both and I won't get the time to experiment. One shot. So...toxins! She keyed in a command and her minifabricator hummed with power as it began putting together a collection of the most virulent flesh-eating toxins it could given the chemical resources available. And, while I'm waiting...

She moved to join up with Tucker. The unarmored human was among the most vulnerable of the fighters on the battlefield and needed all the help he could get. If any of the husks presented themselves, her shotgun was at the ready.

Carmilla & Sypha, Battle Royal

As the sandstorm started raging, the two vampiresses angrily coughed as their eyes were blinded by it. And unlike the others, they did not have a solution to fix it with them and thus had to break off from attacking the monster and move out of the sandstorm. Once they cleared their eyes of sand, Carmilla and Sypha scanned the battlefield to see where else they might be useful. It was then that they noticed the fight with Felipe and namely Lapis's attempt to fight him with water.

"DIE!" Sypha would then begin to rain down her magical icicles onto Felipe's body trying to help Lapis out.

Ragna, Vs Calamari Gigant

A veritable wall of sand and grit was blown towards them, and Ragna, currently without any proper clothing, had an especially hard time blocking it out. Her bare arm was merely enough to keep the sand out of her eyes, but the rest of her body was still pelted rather fiercely. Ranma helpfully offered to direct their attacks, and at that, Ragna nodded.

"Long range isn't my specialty, but I think I can afford getting up close with that thing. Just point the way."

The problem was going to be making her way through this damned sandstorm. As Ranma pointed out the giant squid's next emergence point, Ragna prepared, and as the thing burst out from the ground, Lady's missile went sailing. Whether it hit its target or not, the explosion must've kicked the sand up even further, perhaps far enough to blow it all away. Now was the time for Ragna to do something particularly insane.

She sprinted towards the resultant explosion.

Even without the sand, all the fire and smoke wasn't going to help her line of sight, but she was already preparing a chant under her breath for that. As she neared the cloud, she cried out, activating her fully recharged Burst Ars. The explosive force dispersed the fire and smoke, giving her a clear shot of the cephalopod.

"Open wide, BITCH!"

Bloodscythe shifted, clicking into place and becoming its namesake. Ragna roared as she swung the massive scythe, hoping to rip a considerable gash in the exposed squid's flesh.

Jack-O', Vs Not the Pillar Men

Jack noticed something strange. Not only was it getting darker (not an issue, she had amazing eyesight), but she could've sworn her strikes were not doing as much as they were before. Lantern, previously smashing skulls in like no one's business, was now lucky to flatten a nose.

So darkness was their friend.

With Astolfo's advice of bringing in light sources, Jack-O' smiled down at Lantern.

"Bat, think you could take care of that?"

"Leave it to me, Mama!"

Bat out of Hell worked his magic, and Lantern began heating up. The ball's temperature began climbing at an absurd rate, the flames inside it looking ready to burst out. The metal components of Lantern began glowing white, and it began to resemble a rather extreme version of its namesake, expelling enough light and heat to become perhaps the world's most dangerous light bulb.

"Gotta be careful what this hits."

With that in mind, she refrained from any fanciful tricks, and merely extended her leg and sent the glowing ball flying towards a Turok-han's head.

Susan, Blood Mines
Perhaps it was the sand flying into her face, perhaps it was that the giant hellsquid turned into its own tunnel excavator, but suddenly, Susan lost her steam.

"I'll DROWN you! I am blessed by Huitzilo...pocht......li. Wait." She felt all the anger in her go back to a nice simmer, and now she was left in the middle of a dust storm, wondering what happened.

No, really, what just happened there? She never got that angry over this kind of stuff. Susan didn't care for nuthin' back during the War for Independence, but a little squid trouble got her shouting, acting like...well, kind of like how she used to.

...Right, there was still a squid to kill. It disappeared underneath the sand, and while people had their guesses and it did surface, there was no certain way to figure out where it was...until Susan stepped in. Yes, being the magnanimous and perfect being she was, she came up with a solution in only a couple short minutes.

The next time it breached, Susan looked to where it landed and created, underneath the sand, an array of blood spouts waiting to be triggered. Arranged in a radial pattern from where she last saw it heading towards, each time a spout of blood came up from underneath the sand she'd move the net, and repeat. To hint towards this, she shouted to the interested parties "Look for the red! I'm trying to track it!"

The Fox Kid, Naturally Resorting to Shooting Stuff
"Think nothin' of it," The Fox simply replied to Ranma as soon as she was safe, already turning around and looking for the next thing to shoot at. Usually when she had to go demon/youkai/spirit huntin', it was nice and simple. One guy, or maybe a few, but usually not giant monsters with many more normal monsters and a warlock on top of it.

At the very least, this trip through other worlds would be pretty entertainin', she do reckon.

Scott, Felipe Fight

The wound on his back burned as Scott's sword met the weird club his opponent wielded. He glared death at the skeleton, or at least tried to without trying to show he was intimidated by the knock-off Ghost Rider, even as his wide grin stayed locked in place. The sudden twist, couple with the fact that the Canadian was starting to fall back towards the ground again, meant that it wasn't too hard to wrench the blade from his grip.

It went spiraling away, making the man yell out in anger. He tried to swing a fist at the skeleton, but with no chain combo he couldn't ignore gravity any longer and fell. He landed on his feet, wincing as the movement made his cuts burn worse, able to feel blood running down his back.

He ran to quickly grab his sword from where it had fallen, hoping to not get intercepted along the way.

Fran, Civilian Zone

For the moment, Fran had completely tuned out the ongoing battle in favor of administering whatever help she could to the hapless people who had suffered wounds at the hands of the demons. Most were somewhat too panicked to form an orderly line and crowded around her chaotically, forcing Fran to work with superhuman efficiency; setting broken bones with only torn clothing as bandages, stitching ripped flesh back together, reattaching severed limbs, stuffing organs and guts back into torsos... the tide of patients seemed endless, and she only wished she'd had the forethought to give herself a few spare sets of arms to make things a little easier for herself. Fran was fairly sure that most severed parts ended up with their original owners. No fewer than 80%, for certain.

Kurumi Tokisaki - Not A Squid Fan

The Turok-han were not particularly enjoyable to consume, but the energy they provided was considerable. Kurumi could still feel her lifespan increasing from the few proto-vampires she had devoured, and it pleased her greatly.

Of course she would have liked some more, but it'd have to do for the time being.

From her privileged position in the sky she was able to take a good look at the battlefield. The formerly human-looking Felipe was being thoroughly dealt with, and so were the few remaining Turok-han, so her efforts would be wasted there. Instead, her attention was caught exclusively by the enormous beast that continued to burrow in and out of the ground. It was a rather unorthodox tactic, but it seemed to be working to a degree. Of course, that was a bad thing... but she had just the solution.

She dived as fast as she could towards the ground, but made sure to wait for the gigantic monster to erupt from the land before she made contact with the ground. And with the limited time she had to work, she quickly moved in to intercept it at its landing area, where she promptly spread out a very visible shadow of considerable size, in which she promptly sunk, leaving only the dark spot she created as the only evidence that she had ever been there. Her goal was to trap the creature inside her very own pocket dimension, surrounded by the empty void, where it could be disposed of without much difficulty. However, she was not aware that her shadow dimension could hold far less volume than it would seem. The space was ample for certain, that much was obvious to her, even from inside, but it could in fact not hold much more than what would normally fit in a closet.

And the shelled cephalopod was much larger than even the biggest of closets.

So while she ideally expected it to enter fully, in reality only the tip would actually make its way inside. The rest simply would not fit.

Skelly Fight - I don't have the entire ocean to subdue you with, so fuck this

To Lapis's surprise, rather than gripping Felipe like she had intended, the water in the shape of a hand was stopped and held in place by the demon's shield before it could make contact; said shield, in addition to interrupting her attack, appeared to also be moving on its own to draw closer and attack her in turn. That was...unexpected, and threatening. On the bright side, beheading the skeleton at least seemed to somewhat disorient the rest of it, though not enough to eliminate the threat it posed, particularly to Scott since he was right there.

Trying to move the water hand didn't accomplish anything, and while the shield wasn't moving fast it was closing in. She wasn't sure what letting go of the hand would do, since the shield appeared to be using telekinesis on it, but attempting to pull the water she'd released earlier worked just fine, and she herself wasn't immobilized.

Thinking on her feet, she released the hand and sent a fist of saltwater at the headless body, while quickly swooping away from her current location in case the shield suddenly charged her now that its attention was undivided.

Felipe Lost His Head

The skull continued to scream and bluster, though the repeated interactions between claw and unyielding earth was starting to daze the demon in question, enough so that the body itself began lagging as though cut off from its puppeteer's strings even as the ghost flames began to gutter away like a candle in the wind. This enabled Scott to be able to retrieve his sword. Lapis' quick thinking resulted in the magical version of someone holding a door shut and then opening it up to let the person running towards to smash it down crash into something, in this case the demon head shield eating sand as the unexpected nullity of resistance sent it careening forward at high speed.

The new seawater also threw the skeletal body off guard even further, rocking the boat and tenuous connection between skull and body before the vampire's icicles flung by the different breed of vampires to all but nail the skeleton to the stage like a butterfly being pinned down by needles. It would have been a rather more morbid sight if there had been any flesh and blood though, so at the moment it simply looked like a skeleton being crucified.

"Well met. It seems I have underestimated you all..."    The skull rasped weakly as the cracks continued to widen across its features, the close proximity to the demon claw not helping its diminishing vitality at all.    "And yet at what cost? Humans do not deserve your protection... They are simply another breed of beings that will cause irreparable harm to themselves and the world... What is wrong with getting rid of a threat... before it could take root?"    With those parting words, the fractured skull finally splintered and fell into literal pieces before those turned to ashes along with the skeleton in question.

The face featuring shield though surprisingly was still sticking around, eyes thrumming as it shot towards the crater that was aptly named the Hellmouth with surprising speed after letting its hold over the water that the flying Lapis had sent out, flinging itself through the air like a super charged frisbee as it sought to escape from the motley crew into the underworld in question.

Splatoon, Yer A Squid And Not a Kid

Ordinarily, the might of the Land Kraken would have been good enough to take on most humans provided they didn't have access to military level equipment on hand or the awesome powers that those who were supernatural possessed. Sadly for it, what the thing was facing was not mortal ken but rather a whole bevy of vastly augmented freaks of natures, beings that could be considered the big fish even in Hell. To put it simply, it was caught in a death trap and was wildly struggling.

The sandstorm provided a bit of cover from the high powered ordinances and explosives, the grit and strong winds managing to steer the things awry just enough that while it exploded upon the thing's grotesque and mammoth body, they were glancing blows even as suspect liquids began raining down along with the grit and burnt craters began pockmarking the cephalopod, the thing still remained largely contact though rather in a tizzy due to how much pain it was currently in.

To rub the salt in the wound further, it was Kurumu's innocuous hole that prevented it from drilling into the sand with the same ease as before. What use was a drill when the tip itself was blunted? The monster screeched wrathfully and hatefully, the sheer momentum now making it twirl about lopsidedly before slanting at an angle... which was of course when the next few rounds of shots were fired at it.

Due to not being able to spin and thus necessitate the momentum to keep the strong winds a blowing, these shots did a lot more damage by managing to blow huge holes in its main body. Ragna's own giant scythe only helped to pop the superheated blisters and cause the long stomach-churning wounds to gape open even further, letting all kinds of unmentionable gore spill out like sewage- with enough pressure built up to literally wash the Bloodedge away even. Still, that moved the woman out of the wildly thrashing tentacles' range. A minute later, the downed squid's limbs simply stopped moving as breathing ceased and the luster of hatred in the large eyes dimmed.

Turok-Done

With their weaknesses exposed, the durable things found it a lot harder to actually continue to fight. Two different occasions of firey pumpkins smashed into the horde, ironically ending up singling the same unlucky vampire in an ironic bit of fate. Jack'o's Bat was like a wrecking ball as it smashed the thing towards Blair's speeding bomb, resulting in a particularly pyrotechnic combination finisher that turned their target into dust in the wind.

The literal laser dragon was also something not expected, though the fire was pretty effective all the same as the stream of flames set ablaze another one, letting it get get shot in the back of the head by a particularly sneaky detective, chunks of brain matter and skull shooting out from impact before the flaming husk collapsed on its knees. A third one went down from a dozen's worth of shells as well, this one not on fire but still in the same general vicinity of the dragon to be substantially weakened as its upper torso and head got embedded with revolvers being emptied. The fourth was slain by Astolfo uppercutted the thing into the dragon via shieldbash the blunt force rocketing the thing into death by immolation.

It was the last two in question though that were behaving rather oddly, the things actively backing away from the fight to run towards the Hellmouth- one ahead of the flying demon head shield and one behind it, as though to guard the thing from anything that could impede its progress. Still, judging by how panicked it was behaving and how the Hellmouth was not opening up any further, it seemed like the thing was the last link in question that was keeping the portal open.

Ranma's E Rank Luck

"....Hot damn." Gaping at the sheer destruction borne not from hard fists and heads but the might of technological prowess and MAGIC shenanigans, the martial artist simply stood agape for a moment bfore clenching her hands at the sight of the dead creature. Helplessness was something that she had hated and in this particular fight, there had been no way for her to actually do anything to help the others besides being on the defensive and protecting those who she could have. Definitely a very sobering feeling, but at least that was the last of-

And dammit, the majority of the people who were saved by the team was looking at the team like they were a bunch of freaks besides the people who were personally rescued by the team. The ones who had been far away enough from the danger but near enough to see everything were pretty scared by the freakishness that had went on, possibly no doubt due to the very violent ways that the monsters had been killed, some of them in disturbingly horrific ways like Susan and Elesis' portion.

"Er... you're welcome?" Weakly waving at the rather disturbed civilians, Ranma simply tried to block out the almost painful judgemental gazes by running towards the squid thing and Ragna to help her out. "Hey lady, you alright?!" The sounds of sobbing and lamentation in the distance did not help either, furthering the guilty spirit of those people who had the bad luck of being taken out while her guard was down and those that had been too numerous to actually get to. It hurt pretty damn bad, this mental weight.

Velvet (Stage)-Time to eat

Velvet stared down at the skull fragments once it finished speaking for a moment.

"I'm not here to protect anyone." Velvet muttered quietly to it. "The only thing I want is revenge. You got in my way. That's all."

Then she turned, looking back at the main body. Stomping over to it, she grabbed the rough neck area with her claw, and said claw started pulsing visibly as she started consuming the bones, a process that only took a few seconds, leaving behind the sword that he had dropped. She then turned toward the giant squid thing, the real meal here. She started slowly making her way toward it, stopping to consume the occasional vampire body that she came across as she did so, each taking a few seconds to consume.

Tessa - Flying Around

"Yeah! We did it!" Tessa said excitedly when the big squid thing... stopped being a big squid thing.

"You know, when it's not being attacked by demons anymore, Mexico actually looks pretty nice," she added as she continued to hover a few hundred feet up, gazing off over the ocean's surface and into the distance.

Agnes - Bloodbathery

"Well done, we have done right by the gods of Dundee this day, are you alright?" Agnes commented to Reimu as she stood up and hefted up her hammer, leaning the shaft over her shoulder as she took a look around. "Better take care, it seems as though someone is going to be fighting with you over scraps," she spoke, this time to her steed as she looked over at Velvet starting to absorb bodies into her hand. The Ancestral Laserdragon charged off in a mad dash to beat Velvet to the squid to see how much of it the beast could taste before Velvet vaporized it.

"Now then, there are still some stragglers...." Making a finger-gun with her left hand, she pointed it at one of the two remaining Turok-hans, lining up a shot in her 'scope'. Playfully, she made the motions of pulling a trigger. Which caused a laser bullet to shoot from her fist towards the monster.

As she hid her face behind her limbs, she slowly started to lower the duo down to the ground.

Max, Phew

Well, that seemed like the end of things. The vampires were in retreat - what was left of them - the squid was dead on the ground and the only thing left after the ringleader was a shield currently trying to escape on its own.

Here was hoping that someone with a good sense of situation would go out of their way to catch it. "How does it look like, Doctor?" He turned his attention towards Fran and the people she was treating.

Griffith, Spare No Survivors

"After the shield." He called to others in the Turok-han crowd. "If it gets away, the demon may yet be able to reform." Heeding his own advice, Griffith dashed forward, wisely getting out of the way of Agnes' shot at the first Turok-han. He, instead, focused on the second one, aiming a slash at its hamstrings to immobilize it. If that worked out, he would try to get in front of the fleeing shield and stop it with a shoulder charge. If it was alive (sorta), he could probably daze it.

Jack-O', Wrapping it up

The Turok-han fled, with the shield in tow, evidently trying to protect it. That meant that it had to die.

While Agnes and Griffith took care of its bodyguards and the latter stunned the shield, Jack-O' leaped into action. Once more she extended her leg, and Lantern shot towards the shield, aiming to shatter it completely.

Ragna, Slimed

Ragna had struck true, but not without consequences. The last minute or so was spent trashing about as the dam that was the squid thing's flesh broke, spilling innards all over her. She was washed away by the flood of guts and gore, eventually ending up a good several feet away with a thoroughly unpleasant smell about her and a deep, cringing scowl on her face.

She had changed her mind, she was now really glad to have not been wearing her coat.

The redhead she'd approached earlier went to her aid, and at that Ragna opened her mouth to respond, but coughed instead.

"Ack... m'fine... is it all over? Cuz if it is, I'd like to just... lie down for a bit."

In the pool of viscera, yes.

Tucker - Hopefully not coming down with pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis; Beach

Tali would find Tucker on his hands and knees, coughing and spluttering and hacking up the lungful of sand he'd accidentally inhaled. He looked a mess, covered in gore which the sand had adhered to, and with laceration in his side that the sand had also gotten into and was making sting like hell.

He looked up at Tali when her feet came into view, and saw that the sandstorm had died, but so had the squid.

"It's over?" He coughed. "We won?"

He rolled over onto his back, wincing as more sand entered the various scrapes and cuts on his body.

"Man, I fucking hate sand. It's rough and it's coarse and it gets fucking everywhere."

He turned his head, and spotted his half-buried bag a few feet away.

"Hey, Tali? Could you get that? It's got a healing unit inside. Don't know how much juice it has without the suit, though."

Susan, Someday
Susan's little tracing method was barely needed, because after Polly...wait wasn't she just a kid's show actress? Weird. But, yeah, Susan did a fine job. She put her hands on her hips and smiled to herself, knowing that...

...She hadn't managed to save the many others that were all struck dead by the many different causes of death going on around here. Her eyes caught those of the panicked crowd, and she figured that right now, whatever part of her that wasn't red before must've looked mighty close to it. Not to mention the sand. Goodness gracious, just about everything was red around here!

Susan, just hold on, she thought to herself. Just a few more years. Then, your problems go away.

After her internal vote of confidence, she took a step forward to the crowd and, in rapid and clipped speech, tried to calm the crowd down. "¡Hola! ¡Mi nombre es Susan! Siento que todos parezamos realmente aterradores en este momento," she said, pointing at her own face with a toothy, hopefully disarming grin, "pero te prometo que en cuanto terminemos de limpiar, saldremos de aquí al caer la noche. Confía en mí, ahora estás a salvo, y nada de eso volverá a suceder. ¿Bueno?"

The Fox Kid, All Done In 36 Rounds or Less
It only occurred to The Fox now that this was hardly a vacation at all. In fact, this was just what she normally did on a slightly larger scale! She was used to helping out frontier towns instead of metropolises, but this was pretty standard work all said and done. She looked down at one of the dead vampire-zombies as it lightly stirred, and she lightly kicked it in the head.

True, they weren't able to properly save the day...but this was hardly the first time she had to deal with that knowledge.

Before she could try and help some more before running off into the sunset, as was the custom, she saw one more problem to solve. Though her primitive mind had no concept of such a sport, it was time for some Frisbee!

Taking off into a full sprint that was far beyond human speed, The Fox tried to catch up to the Unidentified Aztec Object alongside Griffith and catch it regardless if his shoulder tackle worked or not, and then hold a gun up to its...head? "Ain't goin' nowhere, varmint," she'd like to triumphantly add.

Toriel - It's All Over But The Crying

The queen had seen the proto-vampires fall before her along with the abomination. As far as she knows, the nightmare was over, yet, the mourning had not. Seeing the humans here were out in a pitiful state much like her kind once was after the banishment, she sighed as she calmed down, the adrenaline within her soul draining down. She had looked for anyone needing her help, yet she felt as though they were scared of them, despite saving their lives. Still, if she could help it, she would try to help out as much as she could.

Kira - Hand-Me Down

The gold haired man saw that the skeleton that he had planned to attack had already been banished, as well as the proto-zombies and the giant squid demon. All that was left was the shield fleeing in a panic. He immediately took off without a word or a look behind. No need to bother with this anymore, just got to get to the vehicle and move on to the next one. Still, after seeing the apocalypse happen before his eyes and all that jazz had him stressed out. He could certainly use something... handy.

Lo and behold, a severed female hand had been in his path. He picked it up, inspecting it, it would belong to a middle-aged Hispanic woman who would pride herself in the upkeep with her nails and skin. He smirked as he carried it back with him, I guess love can bloom on the battlefield after all.

Lucina - the aftermath

With the monsters dead or fleeing, Lucina let out a trembling sigh and stopped to catch her breath. The taguel girl did not look her best. Ears pinned back, head hanging low. Fur coated in sand and matted with blood - her own and the foe's. She wanted nothing more than to curl up and rest, but the growing cries of the wounded and grieving filled her ears and threatened to plunge her back into the black depths of her memories. No, it would not do to rest. There was still work to be done.

Which was why she was now moving hurriedly around the ruined beach, pressing her ear to the ground every few paces, closing her eyes in concentration. Then she would stop and start digging, sand excavated with remarkable efficiency, the princess dragging a coughing, weakly struggling form out of the ground with her teeth.

"Cleric! Healer!" She called out in her faintly-distorted voice. Thank the gods this one was still alive. She could smell so many dead beneath the sand...

Scott, Battle - Kill Stealer!

Scott snatched up his sword with a triumphant shout, spinning to bring it in front of him and return to the battle. So when he spotted Felipe just in time to spy the end of the fight, and Velvet's subsequent eating of the body, the Canadian was dumbfounded and mad. What the hell even was that? Her clothes, and that arm? She was like a stupid RPG character! And she stole his kill! He stomped his way up, scowling and pointing at the woman. "Hey, you stole my kill!"
