Those animals also tend to be fake plushie species. A fennec fox is worse. To be frank it's a terrible idea on every level. To start with the second the 12 year old takes it out for walkies, it's going to escape, because fennecs are skittish, squirmy, and flighty, and it will escape and never be seen again, probably because it died because it's in an environment it's completely unsuited for. If that doesn't happen it's going to spend the whole walk crouched to the ground because it's terrified of predators because it's a freaking fox. And if, while this animal is outside in a strange and stressful environment, it should bite someone (which it almost certainly will as fennecs are a bitey species) guess what! US law means it's getting euthanized ASAP because there's no way to vaccinate foxes against rabies.
In short it's a terrible idea in every way.

Okay I was going to stay silent on this matter... but quite frankly it didn't work. First of all - I have no bloody idea why you're so against it frankly... this is a work of fiction for one... I have seen so much worse things in other RP's (also in those that are Like Reality, Unless Noted before you start me on that). Also... just where did I write that he won't be... leashed. Also Fennecs... those that are especially bred to be pets anyway... as in like 99% of those that are pets are relatively adapted to a mild climate the same goes for fear... as shown in that you are allowed to actually own them IRL and not get sued for animal abuse in the process.
To be quite honest I'm shortly before just killing him off because quite frankly I have not the slightest desire to argue endless about a pet in a work of fiction - a pet in a work of fiction that was approved by the GM no less - and would like to continue on in peace. Either way... as said, I don't know why you're so against it.

Yeah those animals slip leashes. Or they could get dropped because your character is twelve. And I'm not pulling this out of my ass or talking about wild ones, I'm specifically talking details about PET FENNECS that can be found with ten seconds on google.
Why did you make a detail on your sheet if you weren't going to pay attention to anything about it? It's like making your character deathly allergic to shellfish and then having them walk into a seafood restaurant and eat anything! If you wanted a dog, just give your character a dog. If you wanted a cute animal that didn't have to be like anything in reality, then make something up or animate one of her plush toys! It's just confusing.

You know, this gets quite baffling to me now... I still have no idea why you see that as so much of a deal... Its like you see this character... see one little detail - a detail that maybe wasn't the best option but nonetheless was bloody approved by the GM - and you seem to be all in 'Nope, Imma' rage on that now'-mode, geez.
Work. Of. Fiction. Its not even that it would grant me a boost or something... then I might would understand... but this is literally just pet... a talking one afterwards maybe... but still, and I'm quite thinking about killing the bugger off... I. Will. Not. Discuss. This. Over. And. Over.
Okay... okay... okay... you know what? Erwin died, the Fennec died of a stroke while she was sleeping and this is his ghost because the girl didn't want one of her warriors to be mentally scarred. Can we now just start playing without arguing? PLEASE?

While I understand wanting to be somewhat realistic, the fact that Maike has a fox is tangential to her character and to the RP as a whole. It's not worth getting worked up over.

I'm still confused as to why Maike has a fennec fox. I mean yeah they're legal to own in Germany but I wouldn't want to have a DESERT fox and make it live there. Plus I'm pretty sure that fennec foxes are not dogs.
