Set aside whether or not a character should have their own film. What are some particular storylines you'd like to see used, or think deserve to have their own film?

I never read the actual book, but there was a Superman story called Superman Grounded, and supposedly it was about Superman losing touch with the American people. So he decides to go on a cross-country walk across the good ol' you es of a. I'd guess that this had some political message behind it, even if not, the concept of a Superman film where does nothing but walk around, say 'hi' to random people, have schoolchildren chase him for autographs, save kittens, stop fires and robberies entirely on foot. I'd like that. I've never heard of any superhero feeling any obligation to do that. Could you imagine Wonder Woman, Batman, Wolverine, or Spider Man walking down the street, saying hello, and walking on?

Spiderman Reign is another story I'd like to see on film. Not just for the Darker and Edgier but... pretty much for the Darker and Edgier.

Ooooooh, boy. Where to begin?

  • Sinestro Corp Wars: To a lot of Green Lanterns fans who enjoyed the Geoff Jones wars, their key hope for the movie series was an adaption of this story line as well as a whole trilogy center around the War of Light. Alas, the we all know how that Ryan Reynolds movie turned out. But the thought of seeing an epic full scale battle where Lanterns of different colors blasting each other with light constructs in space is too awesome of a concept to pass up on film. Maybe one day when DC (the films not comics) stop being embaressed of this character they will create a great sci-fi series that would make the fans scream HOLY SHIT! After all, if they follow the cartoon's formula it would work.
  • Throne of Atlantis: The story line plays out as a good origin story for Aquaman . . . . . . or is it that animated movie I am thinking of. Either way, it plays out as a way to introducing the modern world to Aquaman and how serious of a threat Atlantis truly is. So yeah, adapt this story as part of the origin movie.
  • Kang Dynasty: Out of all the Avengers story line I wished marvel would adapt it is this one. Sure I would like to see the production take a crack at doing Under Siege, Korvac Saga, or the original Grandmaster Story arc, but Kang Dynasty is my personal favorite. If you want an Avengers story with a villain who not only pose as a nightmarish threat but actually came very close to winning, it is this story. After all, a scene from said comic is the Crowning Moment of Awesome picture holder for the Avengers page.
  • Secret Wars: The biggest Marvel Crossover with every heroes taking on every villains? God, I wish Marvel Studios and Fox have a more friendly and open relation when it comes to sharing properties. We could of have this!
  • Crisis on Infinite Earths: Same with DC, except if done right they can actually pull this off. We all know one of these days the Arrowverse and all of its shows will end. So way not give them a fitting conclusions where the heroes sacrifice themselves to save the Multiverse in an attempt in creating a new shared universe which merges the stories from Arrowverse, DCEU, and many other past live action DC shows into one . . . . . yeah, that's grand of an idea. Make that into an animated movie but with every animated properties DC made in the past and present.
  • SHAZAM and the Monster Society of Evil: By far my personal favorite Captain Marvel retelling and the perfect choice to adapt a movie off from. Nuff said.
  • Annihilation: My personal favorite Marvel Crossover event that introduce me to a lot of obscure cosmic characters I never thought I would like (and its the precussor to the Guardians of the Galaxy which came out after said story's sequel).
  • Justice League International: Mostly because that is one of my favorite Justice League run (number 3 to be precise, the Pre-Satillite Days is number 1 and the Morrison Run is number 2). I really enjoy the characters in that comic and the interaction they form with each other.
  • Cable and Deadpool: Nevermind this pick. That's gonna happen real soon!

[up] Shazam and the Monster Society of Evil is a great choice. I'd include Kingdom Come, myself. It's a great story, is self contained, and you can have just scads of colorful background characters, even though the focus is on Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

It'd be nice to see Crisis, but it'd be really hard to do it justice. Still, with the multiverse vibe they're building between Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Green Arrow, I can see them doing something with it eventually (Flash referred to a future crisis with red skies pretty early on). It'd have to be considerably scaled back, though.

[up] Kingdom Come would make a good movie.

Speaking of Alex Ross drawn Elseworld stories: Justice. If the DC movies manage to be at the same level of characters as Marvel Movies it would be great to see that story adapted. It is pretty much "How to update a cheesy concept right" the story as it gives a pretty awesome take on the Challengers of the Super-friends.

Also, Spider-Man 2099. It would be a shame that said film will cut out other 2099 stories (except for Ravage, that sucked) but it would make a great standalone movie which focus on the concept of legacy and heroism.
