"What's wrong?" Daydre approaches Mikaela again.
off the shitsAnd with a dash and a leap, Koi is standing behind everyone in the kitchen wearing nothing but what looks to be some swim trunks.
"Yo, what kind of party is this? Should I have brought forks? We already seem to have plenty of knives."
His sense of humor was utterly atrocious, but at least he had any at all.
Fish are friends, not food. But seafood paella, now that is a totally different story.Eisen just stares on as Koi jumps behind her. It looks like Eisen has taken out her Android and which is drawing something on a draw tool... something resembling what she's seeing now in the kitchen, in fact.
"I don't think that's a party, Koi. More like a confrontation"
Either way, she keeps back at a distance from that.
...eheh"I'm gonna take it jokes aren't your thing, are they?"
He turns to look over the group.
"Seriously though, like most conflicts this is probably just a big misunderstanding. Why don't we all sit down around the table, put the weapons away, and just talk this out like reasonable people? It'd be so much less painful."
Fish are friends, not food. But seafood paella, now that is a totally different story. The woman looked at Koi with a frown, possibly taken aback by his casual humor despite the situation. Regardless, she keeps an air of calmness about her.
"...I don't feel like saying. Excuse me for merely needing food. Or do the primal instincts escape you?"
[forum cryptid: it/it's]"Um...", mumbles Mikaela, shuffling the phone a bit, "There seems to be an intruder back in the house."
Kit frowns. In the last few months, she'd learned how it felt to be desperately hungry and had done equally desperate things at times to get by. As for Sekhmet, let's just say she was killing prey twice her size before she even learned to read. Knowing this, maybe their response isn't too surprising.
"Guys...maybe we should cut her some slack and hear her out?" "Yeah, it's just a door, right?"
Emily lowers her weapon a bit. We understand. It's just common courtesy to knock on a door, not break through it.
The measure of a man is not his courage, but rather the size of his gun.As Erika listens in on the kitchen conservation as best as she can, she cautiously slithers into the kitchen at last, having not a word for now to add, though she looks uneasily towards the filthy looking red-head whose hair was in a mess.
"If you have any beefs with Santa, do remember to SETTLE IT IN SMASH!" Quote by Edveed"No, they do not", Nina hissed as she leaned closer in. "But if I would let myself be lead by them, you would not be speaking those words. We would just have to call somebody to dispose of cooling meat. Be glad I am so lenient. Now, I would like your name or at least payment for what you ate."
Eisen is just... pretty damn scared, at the back of the group. She pockets her android, which is still drawing the scene by itself...
(Maybe this lady was just desperate for food.... she might not be bad or anything. Although she could be more polite.)
While she was able to see, and able to think, the tenseness of the situation made her unable to say anything out as she shivered nervously. (What if she attacks, and goes for me?)
Regardless, Eisen begins to step a bit backwards. As a noncombatant, she would be in deep trouble should the intruder have attacked her.
...ehehGrasping the wooden handle of an old-looking yet dependably made steak knife, she brings the utensil to her side as she faces the intruder. She may not need it after all, if Koi's suggestion wins against the threat of violence, but the mysterious woman doesn't seem so eager to talk things out.
Picking up the slack Emily had laid, she inquires, "Why did you break through the door? Emily's right; no need to think we would have just shooed you off, the hodpodge of wanderers we are...were."
Just as Eisen steps back, she takes a step closer, a calculating fearlessness in her eyes, though by no means an underestimating one. She relaxes her weapon hand, but only slightly, lest she drop it and set the intruder off. Though the intruder looks a little too relaxed for that sort of behavior.
Speaking of, she can sense some sort of ulterior motive outside of merely needing food, or at least she thinks she does. She doesn't think it's anything that may entail any violence, but there's got to be more of a reason as to why this woman is here. Perhaps it's paranoia speaking. Well...

"What?!" Daydre says a bit too loud. ".. ahem. Really? How did that..." He trails off.
off the shitsMikaela shrugs.
"I'm trusting that they have control over the situation. As much as it goes against my instinct and honor, I know that rushing down there right now would not be the best thing to do."
"Yeah," Aquarius responded. "Besides, even if we left now, would we even make it in time to be of any help?"
"Probably not... They can probably handle it though, yeah."
off the shitsThe woman took a step back further into the fridge as Nina made her own advance.
"You'll have neither. I apologize for the intrusion, but you could stand to be a little more....polite. Would you be inclined to back off if I offered information in return? I doubt it would stick with you, but then again, knowledge is bestowed easily on the weak-minded, and just as easily forgotten."
[forum cryptid: it/it's]"Are you calling us stupid?"
Joanna gives the woman a contemptuous leer, but this brief flame* subsides quickly enough. The bitch obviously thinks she's got some level of "superiority" above everyone else here, whether it be based on raw ability or on this "information" she's touting; best not to feed her ego, and spiral this situation into a big ball of stupid violence, by responding to her petty insult with ANGER. She'll remember whatever the hell she's about to say just to spite her! Not that that's much of an issue anyway.*
Breathing a sigh, Joanna will let someone else answer the woman's proposal. She is by-and-large fine with the woman saying her spiel and letting her go, but she'll let herself be at the beck and whim of someone else for now. Besides, she has a date tonight; this will waste enough time anyway.
Nan smirked at the woman as spikes grew out of her gauntlets. "So in other words, you are useless to us. After all, you might certainly be intelligent, but you obviously lack the common sense to use it."
Nina suddenly stops. "I assume I already cannot kill you anymore?"
Emily lowers her stake. Alright, let's all talk like civilized people. Miss, could you please lower your knife...machete....thing.
The measure of a man is not his courage, but rather the size of his gun.Seeing that the situation had "devolved" into a state of nonviolence, but trading of insults, Eisen breathed a sigh of relief.
Nonetheless, she's still nervous- one wrong word or action and a fight could break out, and Eisen was NOT wanting to be anyone's target.
Eisen keeps her distance outside the kitchen, near the back of the group as the confrontation went down. Still peering into the kitchen, the Android in her pocket shuts off "automatically".
...ehehKoi just looks sort of confused.
This is relatively pointless. She's holding a weapon, we're most likely well-equipped, and even so, knives can't be that hard to dodge. I mean I could try and mumble some song spell together to keep her in a cage or something, but that hardly seems ethical. Dammit why can't we just collaboratively make a decision to get out of this?
Fish are friends, not food. But seafood paella, now that is a totally different story."I'll stand down..." the woman started, glancing at Emily. "...when you learn to back the Hell off." she finished, staring down Nina with a smoldering glare.
However, her raised arm dropped a fraction of an inch with a small clank as she spoke.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Emily sighs. Guys, please lower the sharp things.

"Sounds like quite the situation...", says Mikaela, grimacing just thinking about it.
