"I'm...a fan of history. Not any historical fiction, I just enjoy reading about history. Wars, intrigue, it's all, well, intriguing." She chuckles. "And what about you? What kinda book do you have there?"

Erika looks at her book, before answering. "Well, it's a bit of a mystery novel I'm reading here. I am interested about your taste in history. Any particular bit of history you love?"

Nina looked through the rows of books, searching for something.

Kit enters the library. She seems to be looking for something.

Erika takes a peer, before noticing Kit and Nina. "You two looking for something in particular, or just looking to grab the first interesting book?" She inquires, having her own book of a mystery novel in hand.

Joanna thinks on Erika's question for a bit.

"Oh! I'd say the most interesting part of history to read about was the...the French Revolution. Intrigue, romance, some bloodshed here or there, it had it all. And Robespierre? Damn, that man was crazy. Like a 19th century Stalin if you ask me."

At this point, Mikaela has already begun repeatedly slashing at the air outside. Not in a Blade Spam manner, she's doing the same motion over and over again, mentally counting how many she's done.

Erika nods at Joanna's response, showing a bit of a smile. "I have to say, that must be one heck of a time period if I say so myself." She replied, temporarily closing her novel, using one of her fingers as a makeshift bookmark.

After a brief stop at her bedroom, Ada enters the library with her computer under her arm. I'm in a place of learning, but I'm not here to read anything... She sets her laptop down on a table and grabs a chair.

"I am looking for manuals on any combat styles or smithing."

Daydre finishes his cereal and cleans up after himself. Wonder where I should go next?... After a moment of thought, he decides to head to the workshop he'd checked out earlier in the week. He hadn't stayed there long the first time, so he figured he might as well take a longer visit.

Upon exiting the mansion, he notices Mikaela.

"Oh, hey Mikaela."

"Sixty-eight! Sixty-nine! Seventy! Seven- Huh?"

Mikaela falters a bit and stops counting her air slashes as she turns to Daydre. She wipes the seat from ehr brow before saying "Oh, hello Daydre. How are you?"

"I'm okay, I guess. Are you training?" He asks. Konk might notice that there appears to be something wrapped in paper under his arm.

Kit looks to Erika. "Well, Sekhmet and I were wanting to find something about recent history. Like in the past 50 years."

Mikaela grins and answers, "Indeed I am!", as she strikes a pose.

"I need to keep my skills as a samurai sharp, especially if I want to take on any tasks a mercenary soon."

She takes note of the thing Daydre is holding and asks, "What is that you have there?"

Daydre laughs a little at the pose. ".. Oh, this?.. It's just a mask.." He retrieves it from under his arm and holds it out. It's not clear what type of mask it should be due to the paper, but it is vaguely face sized and shaped.

"... Are you laughing at my Dark Glisten?", said Mikaela, a little too serious based on her pose and how she's speaking.

"And oh, a mask? What for, if I may inquire?"

Daydre makes his face more serious and mentally chides himself for laughing when she seemed serious. "Sorry"

".. I wanted to see if I could enchant it."

Mikaela sighs and puts on a light smile as she explains, "It's fine. I have an affinity for naming pretty much everything, and everyone else seems to view that as ridiculous and even somewhat childish."

"Oh? You make enchanted masks often?"

"Naming things isn't that childish.. My masks have names, though they're more for function than anything.." He rubs the back of his head sheepishly.

"I don't make them often, considering they're quite an affair.. Plus, I haven't been able to enchant them properly in a while anyway."

Erika nods at all the answers she might have acquired from the others. "Given how big this library is... I would not be surprised if they went back at least a good hundred years." She guesses, looking a little uncertain of her own words.

"Weapons, attacks, poses, stances, you name it. well, I name it, actually."

She chuckles a bit before asking, "What do your magical masks do?"

Daydre also chuckles a bit.

"It depends on which one you're talking about.. Different ones have different effects."

"Well would one, say, turn me in to a Tengu or a Kitsune, or something like that?", she says with a chuckle, but looks semi-serious.

"Well, not quite that much... A mask that powerful would have some big drawbacks. Speaking of kitsune, actually..." He unwraps the paper around the mask. The mask is a bit rough around the edges, but it looks somewhat like a fox's face.

".. I was going to sand this. If the enchanting worked, it would allow the user to conjure orbs of foxfire or cast illusions or something along those lines."
