I've actually heard comparisons to World War Z about the zombies.
Everytime I see the title of the game I think of the theme song for Family Matters just because I watched a reaction to Sony's conference and when they heard the title they started singing "Days gone by..." instead of Days go by.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureYeah, I was also strongly reminded of the World War Z zombies (the film, not the book, naturally). The way they just swarm like insects. "Freakers" is a pretty apt name, from the look of things.
I wonder if they only come in the two types, or are there more rare variations of "super zombie?" I'd bet on there at least being some kind of big boss-monster zombie type, because that's pretty customary in games of this type.
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."Yeah, there likely will be, unless they're just relying on the sheer speed and numbers of the zombies to do be a threat. Such as you're driving through a city and a horde of zombies is spilling out of every street and building, forcing you to pull up and change directions or just keep going to try and get through.
Some details from IGN. Much of the gameplay will be focused on using the environment to your advantage, seeking every edge that might help you escape from the Hordes.
Man, am I the only one who's impressed at the sight of the PS 4 apparently rendering hundreds of zombies onscreen simultaneously?
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."Okay, wow. Like...holy shit.
There are so many goddamn zombies that they are for once actually terrifying.

Re posted from E3 thread: Days Gone release date has been revealed.
It will be launched on February 22nd next year.
The only good fanboy, is a redeemed fanboy. This game has been so under the radar for me, but I just saw it in a recent Game Informer and thought it looked... well, honestly, like a fusion of Gears Of War and The Last Of Us.
I'm not sold on the horde mechanics which seem to be this game's big selling point. That horde meter does kind of break the immersion.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Everytime I look at this game, I always think its a sequel to The Last of Us.
This appears to be a post-zombie-apocalypse open-world game where you play as Deacon St. John, a generic bearded white biker dude, courtesy of Bend Studios. It's been described as Cormac McCarthy's Sons of Anarchy.
More details here. Apparently the zombie-like creatures here are called Freakers (an apt name, judging by appearances), and come in two main types. You've got your Newts, who were kids when they were infected, and are now ugly little Gollum-looking opportunistic ambush predators, and Hordes - massive packs of individual Freakers that hunt almost like a hive mind, acting as one.
And some gameplay:
I admit, I'd be really into this if it weren't for the apparent focus on just massacring massive hordes of zombies with your assault rifle. I always prefer The Last of Us-style survival-focused gameplay when it comes to zombie games, rather than just huge amounts of violence and combat where you just murderize your way through everything. But it still looks potentially promising.
