Opened. I think #3 is good.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportEither's good, but I think a tighter crop would make the names a little more legible.
Cropped 3.
I like that, the contrast between the names on the map and the familiar cities is good.
I like the color correction but zoomed in like that makes it not look like Europe anymore.
this is the same shot but no subs color correct and crop that one? I don't have anything that can do that easily.

From the point-of-view of someone who doesn't know the show the image is from, I think it's actually better with the subs.
The trouble with turning the subs into the image quote is that, to someone who doesn't know the show, the quote wouldn't be meaningful and look more like something a troper invented rather than an actual quote from the show.
The subs, combined with the map names, shows someone like me that this discrepancy is definitely built into the show and not something a troper came up with to further justify the image's presence on the page.
I do appreciate the need to make the map names more visible. If the subs need to be taken off to make the map more readable, can the quote being done in a way that makes it clear it's lifted from the show and is spoken during that scene?

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Bump; any other thoughts? Crowner?
I think 6 works best.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I could go with 6, I guess.
(Annoyed grunt)ok for 6
I kinda prefer the version with the subtitles, but I'm not 100% opposed to having the dialogue as the caption if 6 has more consensus.
I prefer the subs as well.
In the caption we can point out that Karlsland is where Germany is supposed to be for the less geography inclined.

Was watching the OAV series for the franchise and came across this map [1]◊.
What do ya think of this one? The image resizer with the upload came a little out blurry or is it just me?

I like that.
(Annoyed grunt)Crowner?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"And hooked, thanks.
This one never got a votes bump but it's clear enough to call. The new pic's up and tagged; caption?
Nothing comes to mind.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I got nuthin' either, as the dialogue in the other version doesn't work with this one.
"Not Pictured The Empire of Fuso, United States of Liberion, and Faraway Land"
Could go longer with Australis for Australia and Kiwiland for New Zealand but they don't actually play a large part of the story.

No consensus on a caption; locking up.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
I brought this up in the suggestion thread from Strike Witches supplemental materials but people had issues with it being black and white and I can not find a color version.
I did find these [1]◊ [2]◊ [3]◊ [4]◊[5]◊[6]◊ from the Strike Witches movie. And 3 and 4 garnered some support.
What does everyone think? any other ideas?
