Should Jurassic Park be remade with more scientifically up-to-date dinosaurs?

This is something that's been going on in my mind for a while now. Back when the first Jurassic Park movie debuted, it was a pretty huge hit. However, since then, new discoveries have been made about what Dinosaurs may have been like, which has lead to Jurassic Park becoming scientifically inaccurate.

So, yeah, does anyone out there think someone should do a remake of Jurassic Park with the Dinosaurs redesigned to resemble how we now believe they may have looked back when they were alive?

The whole point is they genetically design the dinosaurs in-universe to either better appeal to preconceived expectations from tourists or to work better as prototype weapons.

Besides, odds are by the time such a movie is made NEW theories will appear to try and debunk THESE new theories and we actually get nowhere. Say whatever you will, but I'm not sure we'll ever be actually sure of what a dinosaur actually looked like.

Is there a Jurassic Park/World thread that you could've posted this into?

On-topic: Probably not. The dinosaurs designed have a lot of gaps in their DNA, so I would imagine some traits were lost and replaced with the newly designed dinos. I think it might be too late to add those changes.

I'd be onboard for another franchise with accurate dinosaurs in it. Jurassic Park runs entirely on Rule of Cool, it wouldn't work.

As (technically) a paleontologist-in-training, which totally makes me the highest authority here on the subject, I'd be more concerned about updating documentaries (especially ones with CGI dinosaurs) to reflect current scientific theory on the subject.

Wasn't the difference between real dinosaurs and cloned ones already explained in a throwaway line in Jurassic World? I'm with Gaon here, I'd rather see new dino related movies take this on, as unlikely as that would be to happen in the current studio environment.
