@Alomarcaris
I know I'm not the guy you're asking, but I do think that increased version exclusives would have a benefit. I mentioned before how GF seems to be trying to make sure people can catch 'em all within the generation right? If there is a pokemon that can only be found on version, that frees up a slot on the opposite version. And there are some pokemon that are dichotomous enough that their candidacy of version exclusives is plausible (The Hourdour and Electrike lines, Alolan Vulpix and Sandshrew, Tauros and Miltank) even if they were from different gens (or in the case of Vulpix and Sandshrew, originally version exclusives to the same game)
Mark my words, bar the unlikely death of Pokemon, the franchise having enough mons to warren more version exclusives is an inevitability.
Tauros and Miltank aren't version exclusives, they, if anything, have different encounter rates in paired versions. Just like the Nidos or Volbeat/Illumise.
If solrock and lunatone aren't version exclusives....
They are not.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseHeracross and (if it gets in) Mawile probably won't be version exclusives, due to their usual counterparts being in both Sun and Moon.
Also, expect more fossil exclusivity (that has been a thing since DP), stuff like Lotad/Seedot, Plusle/Minun, Zangoose/Seviper, Lunatone/Solrock, Throh/Sawk, Gothita/Solosis, Poochyena/Purrloin or Glameow/Stunky. And, once again, legendaries.
Damn, I miss third versions giving you both mascots in equal grounding. Crystal, Emerald and Platinum to a lesser degree nailed it.
EDIT: Baconmaniac, you don't know. We know we are getting 100 or so extra 'mons, but we don't know which ones.

So apparently another gift PokΓ©mon is being given out at GameStop on the day the Marshadow code distribution ends: a shiny Silvally.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!According to Serebii, the Mantine minigame will provide resources for tutor moves, which is a nice shift from having to use the Battle Whatever.
That's nice. Are the materials available through both methods, or just the surfing minigame?
Doesn't say, but if I had to guess probably both. Or it's possible certain tutors only take Mantine Points while others only Battle Points.
On one hand, no more Bank points building up for tutors is a shame. On the other, it'll probably be less of a grind to get points ASAP.
More to the point, getting good at the surfing minigame will probably take a lot less time than making a team that can reliably handle the battle facilities and getting good at those.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I imagine the Mantine Points will be similar to the Pokeathlon points from HGSS, where a thing you want to buy is 1-2 rounds away from being purchased, so there's little need for grinding.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Still dumb to hide important gameplay functions behind mini-games you might not want to play.
I think whatever is currency earned in Mantine Surf will still be available in some sort of Battle Tower, and the Battle Tower will still be the best place to earn it on a time wise basis. Mantine Surf will be there for players who are intimidated by the Battle Tower or just want to get some moves for end/post game.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Considering the game very actively stacks the deck against you early in the Battle Tree compared to pretty much every preceding facility in the series I think it's nice that a casual friendly option exists that isn't tied to real time like Bank is.
But we don't know how encompassing it is yet. For all we know it's just certain select moves or items and not the whole shebang like BP will provide.
Please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon please be as fun as Pokeathlon.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*So with ll the interview on USUM going about, someone from smogon was able to snag this story tidbit. Not sure where the source is, but I thought it might spark some interesting story discussion◊
Not really much I can think of to extrapolate from there. It's nice to know their motivations, I guess.
Hey, uh...I don't mean to sound overly needy or anything, but does anyone on here have a spare Marshadow code? (Somehow I wasn't able to get to a Gamestop at all during the distribution period.)

"Lucian, donβt be afraid, weβll make it through this."
I just got back.
Some pretty interesting "leaks" going around lately.
Secret SignatureWhich Alolan pokemon do you predict will become Regional Regulars (ie appearing in every regional pokedex since their debut)?
My money's on Wishiwashi, Stufful, and Mimikyu.
I'd add Pikipek cause bird
Secret SignatureAccording to Serebii Team Rocket might be involved? Definitely going to have to pick this up if thatβs the case.
There's obviously going to be more exclusives; fossils haven't been taken into account, as well as stuff like Lunatone and Solrock, Zangoose Seviper, etc. Patience is all thats needed o3o.
