I don't understand the image at all.

McLane has thrown down his (empty) submachine gun and put his hands behind his head as a sign of surrender, but taped his pistol to his back beforehand to shoot Hans and the last henchman.
I figured the hands behind the head indicates he's surrendering, but the gun indicates it's a fake surrender.
If it's too dark to see the pistol or if it needs too much context, I understand.

Even with more details it won't work for users unfamiliar with the work. One can hardly make out the hidden gun.

I'm a bit ambivalent about the suggestion. While I agree it's better than nothing, I share eroock's concern about the details being quite hard to make out, and also think it takes too many seperate shots to get the point across.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"
