Nah, it's the new Battlefront.
this looks interesting

Game Informer has some more details on the singleplayer campaign, and they're describing it as a fusion between Mass Effect and COD. With good reason, too; you'll be getting your own space carrier to command, your own upgradable fighter craft, a crew you can talk to, character upgrades, and you're even allowed to select which mission to tackle, or take on side objectives. And yes, certain decisions will have an impact on how some missions or the overall story play out.
I've gotta admit... this actually IS starting to sound like a worthwhile COD campaign. BLOPS III's campaign was pretty good too, especially with the (slightly) more open design and Deus-Ex-like abilities to unlock. I ultimately decided against buying BLOPS III due to a patch update erasing all of my singleplayer progress, but if this game keeps throwing out sweet details like that, I might finally purchase me a Call of Duty game, and on day one to boot. And I haven't done that in a LOOOONG time (since COD 4, to be exact)...
I think Advanced Warfare and Black Ops set new rules for Activision. Mainly, make the single-player good beyond just having cool gadgets.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Well, I'm becoming increasingly sold.
I wanna play on my space carrier.
Oh really when?Call of Duty series is now becoming very much sci-fi.
Say, do you think the series will ever tap into fantasy?

"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."To be honest I hope it regresses after this. Any more advanced and we may be getting wars against aliens.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.And then there will be no difference between Call of Duty and Halo series.

This song needs more love.So there's another tacked on Zombies mode.
Keep beating that dead horse, guys.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Zombies is an extremely popular mode after all.
Also, I've been noticing that the recent COD games are a bit inspired by anime. BOIII's campaign felt heavily influenced by Ghost in the Shell and Neon Genesis Evangelion, and now this game looks to basically be a Mobile Suit Gundam FPS.
Now if only they'd take a few nods from the Macross series for this game.
It's either Mobile Suit Gundam or Aldnoah Zero xD Well, Gundam's probably more apt as there's no alien technology or hypergate on the moon
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Oh. Oh my. I just might end up being sad that I won't get to play this until next year.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyDo we know if charecter customiztion will be in like in BLOPS III
Wait, what? A Mass Effect-style dynamic campaign? With your own ship you can walk around and talk to the characters on? Which implies that there actually ARE characters? Upgradeable characters and a branching story that reacts to your decisions? Oh, goddamnit, is this- am I... Am I starting to feel a tinge of genuine interest in this game?! God forbid.
Assuming they're not just fucking lying to us, of course. This is Activision we're talking about here. I think it was Black Ops 2 that had that pseudo-Horde mode integrated into the campaign where you'd basically play a skirmish map against AI, that didn't turn out very well.
yeyIt's too early to tell for any of it, they very well could be exaggerating. Especially since COD 4 the franchise has never had a campaign last more than an average of 15 or less hours.
Your character has a name - Reyes. In the trailer released so far, it's obviously a male by the voice and body shown. So while it's possible they could try what BLOPS III did again with the player character, I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Even if they are and it's just a real fancy version of Black Ops 3's safehouse I'll be real happy.
Oh really when?Man the reveal trailer is getting downvoted to hell.
Honestly my theory is that it isn't even the game itself but more the fact that Modern Warfare 1 Remastered isn't available as a separate purchase and that's really pissing of a LOT of people, hell me included.
I dunno, for what it's worth Titanfall is STILL the best futuristic Call of Duty game out there, and I'm expecting Titanfall 2 to mostly continue this trend compared to Infinite Warfare, but I don't necessarily think it's totally fair to shit all over IW until the game's actually out. I mean, yeah tying MWR as an exclusive to the IW Origins/Special/Hardened/Whatever edition is a totally bullshit business move but it isn't really indicative of the game itself at all.
I really only play COD for the set pieces anyway.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I have to wonder how good an idea packaging in Modern Warfare 1 is. It worked for Modern Warfare 2 + Call of Duty 1 because MW1 was seen as the series' peak, hype levels for MW2 were through the roof, the people who didn't care for World at War thought it was harmless enough to easily dismiss, and the series hadn't yet gained infamy for its annual release schedule.
Infinite Warfare + Modern Warfare 1? I see one of two things happening. Either customers lap it up, some to the point where they think, "what happened?!" That or everyone just concludes that, years and years later, 4 just isn't all that special anymore.

Modern Warfare made Call of Duty a multiplayer shooter juggernaut that rivaled Battlefield, so I doubt that a lot of fans will have that opinion.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I recall the same thing happening with MW 2 as well in comparison to World at War, until the game was actually released and everybody realized how imbalanced the multiplayer is. So that might actually happen again if Infinity Warfare turns out to be good.
MW 2 was just bad weapon balance wise. I pretty much quit with Co D in general after that game and the first Black Ops (which while a step in the right direction also had some weapon imbalances).
Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothYeah, MW 2 just seemed to add in so much stuff that they forgot about balancing.
Anyways, back to Infinite Warfare. I am a bit dismayed that the trailer is so heavily disliked. Wonder if that's due to backlash against the COD 4 Remaster only being available with the Legacy Edition. That said though, even though I'm excited for it, I'm still a bit cautious. After all, space is where writers go when there are no more ideas.
At the very least, considering that's it's borrowing a lot from mecha anime like Gundam, I now want a setpiece like this in the game:

Is this a cross over between Call of Duty and Marvel Cinematic Universe by any chance?
