I like the simplistic design of the first one, but I suppose the third does better illustrate what to expect in the series.

The image on Parasyte, ever since the anime came out, has been swapped at least three times from this

The current is more, well, current, but I think the manga pic is much more fitting for the overall tone of the work and does a much better job of getting the Body Horror of the main character's Parasyte infection across, as it's all but buried in the anime pic. Alternately, we could go with one of the manga covers, such as these: 1
