Hey ho. Haven't RP-ed in a while lately, and felt like coming back to continue(currently in my semester break). Then, I saw this. *cracks knuckles* All right, let's get this started and see if I still haven't lose my touch.

I felt that some of my character's abilities are a bit too powerful, so I kinda nerfed it down a notch. If he's still too powerful, feel free to nerf him down or ask me to create another character(got something in mind if this doesn't make it in).

Name: Deidara

Universe of Origin: Naruto

Codename: Artist

Picture: "Art is an explosion!"

Psychological Assessment: When interrogated, subject casually described himself as an aloof and easy-going individual with a perchance for all things related to art. In his case, true art is something that only occurs within the moment... and what better way to express it than during the peak of a highly intense explosion, of which he specializes in? He holds great pride in it and, indeed, it had served him quite well throughout his life. Subject is also naturally capable of being composed during the heat of battle, going so far as to react normally and accordingly even after the loss of both his arms. The only exception to this would be if someone were to greatly provoke and outright insult his art.

As for how he'll cooperate within a team environment, subject is perfectly willing to cooperate, so long as he gets to practice his crafts and utilize them.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Shinobi Training - As a shinobi, Deidara is somewhat well-versed in close-ranged combat even when it's not his specialty, capable of holding his ground for a few moments against a combatant who's an expert with it back in his home universe. The subject may be able to fend off against a group of relatively untrained soldiers, but he rather much prefers to eliminate his targets through range, traps and proxies, of which he excels.

The subject's agility and reflexes are also above-par for a typical human, capable of crossing large distances on foot with ease and without much fatigue.

  • Eye Enhancement - A countermeasure created by the subject to cope against 'Genjutsu', a sort of illusionary technique in his world. His left eye is equipped with a scope, allowing him to utilize it for long-range observation. In addition, subject also intensively trained the same eye to see past Genjutsu due to his great loathing of it. While unsure of its applications in the field, we assume that the subject will be able to see through and detect minor illusion so long as he focuses his left eye.

Powers:

  • Explosion Release Kekkei Genkai - The subject's main source of power, which also forms the foundation of his other techniques. By combining the Earth and Lightning chakra nature that he was born with, the subject is capable of giving his chakra a more 'explosive' quality. This is then further utilized in the form of crafting animated, living 'bombs' made out of clay through the use of this ability, by infusing his chakra into said clay via the 'mouths' on the palm of his hands. The scope of his ability ranges from making small, concentrated blasts through the use of his multitude of clay animals to dropping and detonating a gigantic clay bomb capable of destroying an entire town.

Despite its destructive capability and adaptability, the subject's power is not perfect. In particular, he needs active access to clay in order to utilize his ability. Should his supply runs out or he is for some reason unable to access them, his ability would be rendered moot. In addition, a well-placed lightning attack against the clay bomb could also render them completely useless, since his is mostly an earth-based technique and lightning-based techniques seems to neutralizes earth-based technique in his home universe.

  • C1 - The subject's most used, and also the most versatile, technique. This are made from molding explosive clay in a single palm. Once prepared, animated clay dolls are released from the palm; resembling that of different animals such as snakes, birds, spiders or some other creatures depending on the situation. They also possess the least explosive power in his arsenal(think grenades), but more than makes up for it by being quick to create on his feet and little amount of clay, in addition to being well-suited for covert operations as it also doubles as the subject's little scouts. Subject's creations could also serve as air transports, should the need arise.

  • C2 "Dragon" - The subject summons a large, living dragon made out of clay that is capable of flight. The dragon is big enough to be able to lift several people on its back and still fly along the sky with ease, covering great distances. In addition to being a mobile transport, it also shoots out smaller clay figures towards its intended targets like guided missiles and lay clay mines on the ground. And, if all else fails, it can also self-detonate, leaving behind a huge explosion in its wake. Subject will make use of this ability if he really need to heat things up.

  • C3 - The most powerful large scale bombs to date in his arsenal. Taking on the form of a small statue, when dropped and activated, its size grows to gigantic proportions and upon detonation, is capable of destroying an entire town. Because of the large output, several days would be required for him to actually manufacture one, in addition to the large amount of clay it requires; meaning trying to craft one during certain missions would be highly impractical. If need be, we'll reduce its usage to one per mission or tone down its explosive force. I'll leave it up for you to decide.

  • C4 "Garuda" - Due to the nature of this ability, I've decided to put a hold on this and restrict this ability of his for now. To summarize, the subject creates a giant doll, shaped like him. Upon rupture, a cloud of microscopic bombs will spread in the air. Anyone unfortunate enough to breath in this bombs will be under the mercy of the subject, from which he could detonate them all and explode the victims from within by literally disintegrating their bodies at a cellular level. While this ability is useful, I fear that it'll be too much of a complication within a delicate mission, especially considering how easy would it be to accidentally spread to key targets and team mates.

  • C0 "Ultimate Art" - The subject's most powerful technique and also the most dangerous since he'll be sacrificing himself. By taking a large chunk of clay and place it within the 'mouth' on his chest, his entire body will be condensed into a large black sphere with jagged teeth and pupil-less eyes. The sphere then opens up and detonates, destroying everything within a blast that covers more than ten kilometres. In the subject's own words, he'd rather go out with a 'Bang' should he ever feel cornered with no chance of surviving. Even as a last resort, I felt that it's simply too much and therefore, think that reducing the range of the blast to that of a few hundred meters should make it feasible. Not that the subject needs to utilize it if he performs well, but precaution felt needed. Or, at your request, we could restrict this ability of his as well.

  • Clay Clones - Subject creates a perfect replica of himself with his clay, capable of mimicking complex movements. At any time, the subject could detonate the clone, which would result in a large blast. Said clone serves two purposes; one, to catch his enemy off-guard and two, to act as a diversion.

Case History: Subject was from a low-tech world, hailing from the region called the 'Hidden Stone Village'. Initially serving within the village's Explosion Corps, he quit to become a rogue bomber and was later on inducted within the Akatsuki due to his talent. It was there that subject continues to insistently perfect his art, while performing missions for said organization.

The subject met his end both times, one during his confrontation with the brother of his hated rival and during the Great War in his world after being revived. As such, the subjects deals with his impromptu revival rather well and accepted the Agency's offer nonchalantly. So long as he has the opportunity to still be alive, he can continue his craft from where he left off...

Suggested Role: Demolition, Damage Control, Destruction, Infiltration

Proposed Personnel File Review #7

Kibeth (Codename-The Disreputable Dog)-Size growing should be limited, the agent should be no larger then a large human in height at any point in time. We require more information on this power to "Make people walk" via barking. Is this some form of mental manipulation? A force pushing them forward? Please elaborate, or force the agent to do so. It should also be clear to you, but this agent' future seeing powers will not work once he is transferred to the Agency due to the way the multiverse works negating it.

(File is placed in the "Awaiting response" folder)

Fenris (Codename-Lyrium Ghost)-The ability to "ghost", so to speak, causes heavy strain on universes outside of its own. For this reason, the Agent is going to be very limited in this application of hi power, with the ability to use it being limited to once every 2 minutes, with a maximum limit of 5 seconds of continued use.

Should this be acceptable, the agent is Accepted

(A red "Accepted" stamp is smashed on the file)

Captain Korgin (Codename-Reaver)-The recruiter is to be praised for his highly detailed writeup on this file. This agent caused significant debate among the higher ups of the agency. This universe is not one known for producing many people suitable for our work, and his status as a worshiper of the Blood God did not help his case. However, after hours of debate, we have decided (on the basis of a very close vote) to give this agent a chance. He is to be made aware he is on a very short leash.

As for his powers, most are within the bounds of acceptability, although part of the terms of acceptance among our debate was that his overall strength level be reduced to the point where he is on par with the stronger of our already accepted agents, and no more.

With this, the Agency deems this agent barely Accepted

(A red "Accepted" stamp appears on the file)

Deidara (Codename-Artist)-The power of his bombs will need to be limited, the agent should not be able to do more damage then blowing up a building with a bomb, and this should drain him significantly. People tend to notice when whole towns are blown up, after all. Thus, the bomb designated C3 is to be banned from use baring special permission from The Handler. The agent is also advised to be careful in use of bomb C2, again, people tend to notice large clay flying dragons. Bomb C0 is also banned from use.

(OOC-To explain that one, not mentioned this yet but Death is not permanent in The Agency (If they brought you back once they can do it again) so this is to prevent issues from it being overused or something like that)

The agent is also restricted to one clay clone at a time.

Please confirm these changes are acceptable or make a case against these changes.

@Meanken: Noted, accepted and will be implemented as soon as possible. Subject probably won't be too happy with these restrictions, but won't make a fuss since he's been given another chance at life.

The Dog, as she prefers to be called, accepts the size-growing limits, and (in her words):

"Going over a certain size makes me feel uncomfortable anyway."

Also, having asked for clarification, she barked once, and without any warning I found myself walking out the door. According to the Dog, she prefers not to do it, however, and will only do it under duress or when she is angry.

Postscript: I would like to note that touching the Dog's collar is not lightly undertaken, as, when I touched it, I felt like I was falling into a place full of golden marks. When asked why this was so, she shook in a doglike way and simply said:

"I am the Charter. Of it, in it and outside it."

(OOC: If a Charter Mage ever joins, this means that the Dog's collar can be used as a portal to the Charter, empowering the magic.)

Post Postscript: Despite what the Dog may say, I would like to note that I never took her for a walk. This would be unprofessional and time-wasting.

Okay, so I did. She just stared and she seemed so excited. I couldn't resist.

This is completely OOC.

Kibeth is also known as the walker. The Dog, when she barks, can make people walk. Based on how the bell works, it's a force gripping the person, making them walk where she wishes. She only uses it when she or her Mistress is in grave danger. It is resistable, but she can reinforce it by barking more.

(OOC-She only uses it when in grave danger, yet caused the recruiter to walk out of the room just because he asked about it? This one falls under the "mental control" heading, even if in a limited sense, so I think this power is gonna need to be removed.)

@Meanken: Acknowledged. The Agent has been informed, and has agreed to follow the Agency's orders. To quote the Agent: "Ye' guys 'r the bosses 'till the Blood God decides ta stop entertainin' ya. Or until things go completely tits up everywhere, whiche'er comes first."

On consultation, the agent agrees that the ghost ability is best attuned in its universe of origin and could be considerably physically straining in others without the same meta-dimensional set-up. He further states he mostly prefers to use it to give impromptu heart massages anyway.

  • Name: Johnny Cage
  • Codename: A-List
  • Picture: Fix up, look sharp.
  • Psychological Assessment: Mr. Cage's ego is absurdly large, and has been for as long as he's been of any note, both as an actor and as a defender of humanity. He thinks himself the handsomest and most clever man ever to walk Earthrealm. His ego is also incredibly hard to damage; at one point, he was cast in a movie revolving around his being killed and revived repeatedly, and despite not liking the fact that it mocked his actual multiple deaths, he stuck with it until he was summoned away to save the realms. As an Earthrealm warrior, Mr. Cage was remarkably courageous and devoted to the cause, and towards the end of his pre-Agency life, Mr. Cage was starting to show some signs of genuine leadership and self-sacrifice, as indicated by his assembling and leading the Forces of Light at the Battle of Armageddon; in fact, some speculate that, had he survived, he would have given up his celebrity status and sought enlightenment. Whether he keeps this up is yet to be seen.
    • It should also be noted that the one surefire way to anger Mr. Cage is to break his sunglasses. Doing so will cause him to first inform the person who broke them that "Those were $500 sunglasses, asshole!", then to attempt to beat the person senseless. The fact that he owns dozens of other pairs is invariably irrelevant to him.
  • Skills and Abilities: Mr. Cage is a world-class martial artist. His primary style is Jeet Kune Do, which he has employed in films since the beginning of his career, but he is also skilled in Karate, Shinto Ryu, and Shorin Ryu. While the styles he trains in tend towards what's flashy and cool-looking on screen, make no mistake; when Mr. Cage is in the zone and focused on the fight, he can be a nightmare to fight against, especially if he's feeling pragmatic and decides to go for his signature Nutcracker. When weaponry comes into play, Mr. Cage usually employs nunchaku, which he is just as skilled with, but he has also been known to use Bowie knives and pistols.
    • Mr. Cage's primary non-combat skill is his acting ability. Despite his reputation for playing action heroes, he can certainly act with skill if the situation calls for it. This skill allows him to charm and manipulate his way out of tight situations. He is also very knowledgeable about American popular culture, which is only fair considering that he was a part of it in his pre-Agency life.
  • Powers: Mr. Cage is descended from the superhuman warriors of an ancient Mediterranean cult. This gives him access to a unique "shadow energy" that he can use to launch energy projectiles and increase the distance and strength of his strikes. Once he has an opponent down to their last breath, he employs this energy to finish them off, either via a decapitating uppercut or by ripping their torso from their body. His lineage also explains why, despite forgoing armor and frequently fighting with no shirt on, he takes a significant amount of damage to wear down and kill. Every one of his deaths in combat were only possible after repeatedly getting up from attacks that should have killed him ten times over.
  • Case History:
    • Mr. Cage hails from the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles. His acting career took off in 1990 with the summer sleeper hit Sudden Violence and the surprising VHS resurgence of his film from the previous year, Dragon Fist. His story truly began, however, in 1992, when he partook in the Mortal Kombat tournament. He was handpicked by the God of Thunder, Raiden, who recognized him as one of the most talented martial artists on the planet, even if Raiden would later come to loathe Mr. Cage's wisecracks. Mr. Cage's efforts, combined with those of fellow Earthrealm representatives Liu Kang and Sonya Blade, were enough to win the tournament and save Earth from being absorbed into the realm of Outworld.
    • After helping to win the Mortal Kombat rematch the following year and turning his experiences in the first tournament into an even more successful movie, Mr. Cage was killed in Outworld's 1995 illegal invasion of Earthrealm when he attempted to fight the centaur Motaro and got his head ripped off for his trouble. However, the path to the afterlife was blocked, so he was brought back in order to help turn the tide. This began his infamous pattern of death and resurrection, which didn't do very much to help his reputation as an actor. Over the next decade, he would ascend to Heaven later that year after Earthrealm was saved, return to help Earthrealm fight off the Elder God Shinnok two years later, die in an ambush by a Tartakan horde in 2002, then have his body and spirit restored separately in 2004.
    • By 2006, Mr. Cage's acting career was effectively over. It didn't matter how good of an actor he was, or that he had a trance song composed specifically to be his theme song; producers didn't want to handle the risk of an actor who could, at any moment, be summoned off to save the world and die in the process of doing so. But this didn't seem to bother him, since he was focused on other matters. Following visions he had mysteriously started having, he learned of Shinnok and Quan Chi's plans to take over the realms and started assembling the realms' greatest heroes into the army of the Forces of Light.
    • It was at the battle between the Forces of Light and Darkness where Mr. Cage met his fourth and final death. Once the pyramid of Armageddon rose at the site of the battle, the participants started fighting amongst themselves to climb it and claim the prize waiting at the top by defeating the fire elemental Blaze. In the process, Mr. Cage was decapitated. It is unclear who is responsible for this fatality; when evaluated, Mr. Cage said that the attack came from behind, and that he did not know who his killer was or where they had come from. But regardless, there is nothing left for Mr. Cage to go back to, as Blaze was defeated by Shao Kahn, the Emperor of Outworld, who subsequently slew all other combatants and took over all of the realms. It is for this reason that he has chosen to seek employment with the Agency.
    • So far, Mr. Cage has not gone on any missions, though he has completed basic training and has repeatedly expressed interest in missions involving the entertainment industry.
  • Suggested Roles: Espionage/Assassination.

  • Name: Dio Brando, shortened to DIO.

  • Codename: I, DIO, will not sully myself to be addressed with a simple, childish "code name". I, DIO, am not some sort of serial villain. "DIO" will suffice.

  • Picture: With my faithful stand, THE WORLD.

  • Psychological Assessment: "It is of The Agency's Psyche Evaluation officer's opinion that Mr. Brando exhibits signs of ruthless pragmatism, egotism, sociopathy and relentless ambition, as well as hedonism and excesses. When Mr. Brando sets his mind to a goal, there is no force of nature or act of God that can pull him from his course of action. Compiling this with Mr. Brando's nearly uncontrollable rage when he feels he has been slighted makes Mr. Brando an incredibly volatile yet useful asset to The Agency."

  • Skills and Abilities: I, DIO, consider myself a very skilled pugilist, both in fighting on the level and when employing "dirty" tactics to achieve victory. I am also an excellent chess player, and even before my vampirification I was quite capable of using my culture and charisma to bend others to my whim.

  • Powers: Through the properties of the Stone Mask, I, DIO, am a vampire. I exhibit superhuman strength, speed, and durability. I, DIO, can reanimate the recently dead as my servants and regenerate any grievous injuries I, DIO, may take by taking the blood from another. This also puts them under the thrall of I, DIO. I am virtually immortal unless exposed to the direct light of the sun. Also, I can focus the viscous fluid in my eyes into highly pressurized and controlled piercing beams, like lasers.

For reasons beyond my understanding, THE WORLD'S Time-stopping abilities have been stolen from me, yet my Stand still has incredible strength, speed, and precision with which I may pummel my enemies. Apparently I, DIO, am on something called "probation"? Ludicrous.

  • Case History: Nearly two hundred years ago, I, DIO, came into the home of George Joestar. That was where I began my eternal rivalry with the Joestar bloodline. I killed Jonathan Joestar and stole his body for myself and then I fought his great grandson and... let's skip that part. Also at some point I had like a son or two... or five?

After my death, which was a total freak accident and in no way a sign that Jotaro Kujo is superior to me, I found myself in the employ of this "Agency." Their offer held no interest to me, but they explained that after a certain number of "good" deeds, I would be allowed to return to my world and continue my war with the Joestar bloodline. I have all of eternity. What is a year or five or ten? There is also this strange... feeling that tingles inside me at the prospect of doing.... good.

  • Suggested Role: I, DIO, can perform any task that is put in front of me. For I, DIO, am without equal or peer.

EDIT: Oh, oh! Either Strat or Meanken, PM me. I have a DIO-based idea.

Alright guys look.

I've had like 3 posts in response to my last GM post. I had a barrage of new signups, only to have a grand total of 1 post before vanishing.

I appreciate everyone who gave this a try, but my interest in continuing this has faded, and I believe I'm gonna have to call this RP. Not every RP is gonna be a winner.

However, if you're still looking for an RP to signup for (and of course are not already in it), I encourage you to give Battleworld a look, the other reboot I did that worked far better. It's a different beast from this game, but it's been going strong for a while now.
