Better version of the MLP suggestion [1]◊

That's about as work safe as we could probably get with this trope, but it somehow reminds me of another one. Do we have a trope for the gag where someone is posing for a picture but the artist is revealed to be drawing something completely different?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"The only related trope image I can think of is from It's Not Porn, It's Art.
The problem with l'artiste is that the model is standing behind the painter, and isn't the subject of the painting anyway, making that image completely useless. Therefore, the Pony image is the more viable suggestion, and is probably as work-safe of an image we can find, so my vote goes to 2.1/3.2.
Either 3.1 or 3.2 works fine...can't really make up my mind between them. ~Morgenthaler, I know what you're talking about but I don't know if we have a page for it...have you tried Trope Finder?
I prefer 3.2 because of her pose.
^^ I've asked there just now.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Testing...
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPlease note that 3.1 was slightly edited... (ponies don't have a visible bellybutton usually).
Anyway, I prefer the 3.2 pose.
No idea why that's even there... Anyways, I still stand by 3.2 as well.
3.2 is best.
''“You want a planet? I’ll give you a planet! Heck, I’ll give you your own solar system! No, I’ll give you a house... in Boca Raton!I'll come down for 3.2.
up and tagged. caption?
Well, it was up...I added the tag. For the caption, maybe "Painting the paint...how ironic."?
Not really feeling that one.
sorry, i forgot the tag.
For the caption: "Good thing that pony normally don't wear clothes".

^ Too obvious, I think.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Maybe it just works better without a caption.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportGood enough; locking up.
This image was a late addition to the suggestion crowner that didn't get any traction. This was also suggested. Any other ideas?
