The main villain is a Bishōnen and bad touched the hero's girl; yea, we're Berserk now.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. And the hero lost an arm, too.
Reaction Image RepositoryApparently an anime magazine article actually goes into detail about why Biba is doing this shit.
The mission he was sent on was a suicide from the start set up by his father to prove it's impossible to fight back by leaving 400,000 people he forcibly conscripted and his son to die by cutting them off from supplies.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Biba is worse than his father.
Lazy and pathetic. No one suggested otherwise, but it is his father who started all this shit in the first place with his flawless parenting.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. His biggest mistake was to let Biba live after he survived.
Lazy and pathetic. You're suggesting he could get at him. He hid away in his royal palace and Biba was found by the hunters who he joined after being the sole survivor.
And his biggest mistake was being a paranoid idiot from day one.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. It seems he was not paranoid enough.
Lazy and pathetic. You realize Biba only did what he did because of his Dad and likely wouldn't be such an asshat otherwise right?
Cuz it kinda sounds like you think he was an asshole from the very beginning.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah, Biba wouldn't be trying to destroy the world if his father hadn't driven him basically insane. I mean, that hardly justifies Biba's actions, but it's not like he was psychotic as a kid. At least not that we know of.

Reaction Image RepositoryAnd surprisingly...it ends on an unambiguous happy note. Even enough where there might be a sequel.
RIP Takumi ;_;.
Ikoma and Kurusu for MVP's. Ayame for best gril, tho Mumei redeemed herself somewhat in the end.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I still don't get Biba. I mean despite planning to fight to the death he tells his men to leave for safety, cures Ikoma dangerous super mode at some point as they were fighting ensuring his survival, and does he never release his restraints cause he's a Kabaneri.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. He did explicitly release his restraint right before going to fight Ikoma. As for the curing I have no idea when that happened either.
There are so, so many questions left here. Seriously what even are the Kabane and why can they have crazy laser powers.
deviantArt | TwitterI bet in case of second season, that shifty Doctor dude is gonna be back to explain.
We Resident Evil BO Ws now.
Wish the show was better, but I don't regret watching it.
Nice final episode. Ikoma's supermode was cool and the action was good but I do feel everthing was a little too easy. I had originally thought that Biba was a Kabaneri but discounted it when only one of his followers turned out to be one. As for when Biba administered the White Blood, I think it was when he and Ikoma attacked each other at the same time. The only question is why he did it.
Overall this was a quite entertaining anime, although I think the setting is probably better than the plot. Personally though, what I would have done is spent a full season on Mumei and Ikoma gaining the trust of the others and then left the Biba arc for a second season.
I think Biba was hoping the White Blood would undo Ikoma's power up and even the playing field. Either that, or it was a gesture of respect for the man defeated him sort of thing. Though that doesn't make much sense, given that he was still trying to kill Ikoma afterwards. So it's probably that first thing I said.
I think it was a precaution for him. He was realeasing his Kabaneri abilities and going out alone, and he needed something to sort him out if he lost control in hostile territory.
What's precedent ever done for us?Well the thing is that he would have burnt out anyways since only females become colonies. So he easily could have waited for him to die after saving Mumei.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. So I'd give this a 6/10. Really stupid but fun to watch at least.
Yea, that's an appropriate score.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Just a thought, but what if Biba was awake and not just laying in the water before Mumei woke up?
OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareI started watching this recently. It's pretty good for the most part. I genuinely love the aesthetic and I find the Kabane interesting in the sense that they seem to act more like vampires (they even have the teeth) rather then the standard zombies we are used to.
The one thing I am concerned about is that I hear that the quality drops after this Biba guy is introduced. Is that true? Is it not worth watching the remaining half of the anime?

Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothSome people have a problem with Biba's affect on the morality of the anime, but I didn't.
The show kinda goes the generic "Humans Are the Real Monsters" route once Biba's introduced and makes some characters, namely Mumei, make a few boneheaded decisions.
Its still consistently a fun romp from start to finish in terms of action tho.
