forever alone
MIADoes this have anything to do with that weird Chinese live action, like soap opera thing that was supposed to promote a bunch of rip-offs of Dunan and Yomega (and I think they ripped of a YYJ Darkmagic once too) yoyos? I remember talking about it on the yoyoing.com forums back when it was a thing (rip) and shit was hilariously bad
I think so. And the cartoon was a terrible attempt to cash in on that.
So I just saw a TV ad for this shit while I was eating dinner and man, I felt like I died inside. I mean, shit, I was in like 4th grade and shit when I got into yo-yos and I got into it BECAUSE it was underground and all ska-punk and shit (this was when Streetlight Manifesto just put out Keasbey Nights) and not some bullshit ass Merchandise-Driven Yu-Gi-Oh knockoff
Man, if Hasbro was smart they'd just take some of the lower end Yo Yo Factory models (think the Replay Pro or even the FAST stuff, which I think Hasbro used to sell in store with a distribution deal with YYF), reskin them with some "I Can't Believe it's not Pokemon" bullshit and sell it in Wal-mart or shit but NOPE. They just had to try and do it themselves and/or do it with Auldey (the Chinese company that makes Duncan ripoffs and shit.)
Hopefully this whole venture just dies off instead of stunting the public perception of yo-yos back a decade or two.
For anybody who doesn't know what it is here's a link: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WesternAnimation/BlazingTeam. ok we're good...good. I just discovered this show today while surfing a few cartoon sites. People who've seen the show described it as cilched with pretty bad animation. The only thing I like about it was the art style kinda appealed to me since it was a mix between anime and western action shows. Oh I forgot to mention not people had bothered reviewing it but that one guy I found on You Tube. https://m.youtube.com/?#/watch?v=xywijjM_n9o
