Addendum: Turns out I can't sign up with Myth-Weavers on account of the fact that my email is Yahoo
I'll be handling all the rolls. If you can't make a myth-weavers account you can just post the info here, but try to organize it to be readable because the standard text formatting on this site is... well it isn't pretty.
...Wait, do we actually have a character who literally fights like a cow?
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Guilty as charged.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.I'm pretty much obligated to post this.
No, actually, that would be a minotaur monk.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither. Also, while I do prefer Myth-Weavers, I found this site with a modifiable sheet as well. I haven't used it before, so maybe screenshot a backup image of it just in case everything goes to hell and deletes your data, but it at least seems like a much easier way to create and update your characters than resorting to filling stuff out on a forum post.
- Name: Nukklebud
- Race: Dwarf
- Class: Fighter
- Personality: Gruff and cynical, Nukklebud sees the worst in everyone. However, he has a good heart underneath his gruff exterior and is willing to stick his neck out to do the right thing. Wishes more people weren't so damned idealistic but also knows that if everybody was like him, the world would be a lot grouchier. Sees the worst in people but has good intentions. Has no moral scruples when it comes to money anymore since he has no lord but tries to be the best person he can be under the situation.
- 'Background: Once a proud knight of a small island nation of secluded dwarves, Nukklebud had studied enough history and fought in enough battles to grow paranoid in his old age and saw plots and conspiracies to kill the queen everywhere. The other knights grew tired of his constant strictness and close inspections and he was eventually restationed as a city guard. However, the island was eventually razed by a dragon and the queen was slain. Nukklebud, of course, had prepared a dragon shelter for himself and he survived. Now masterless and lordless, he roams the land, searching for any employer that will tolerate his paranoid tendencies and can use his skills in swordsmanship.
- Sheet: Let me know if I missed anything. I'm really bad with these types of character sheets (meaning all character sheets). Here.

"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.Ah, your signup makes me realize that that non-Mythweavers sheet website does't have a personality or background section, so anyone else using that should add it to their posts - you've already done it, though, so you're good there. There also doesn't seem to be a spot for spells, so someone using that would need to include that in posts. The character himself is great, just that the numbers are a little off though.
This point buy calculator should help you figure out your stats. (As a reminder, you can't have any attribute be lower than 8 or higher than 15 when you buy them, however your racial bonuses can increase it beyond that score). If you select your race and assign 27 points it takes care of the math for you.
Also the HP is a bit high. Conveniently, the fighter and dwarf are both part of the basic 5E rules, which you can find here. For a level 3 fighter, he should have 22 HP as a baseline (10+6+6). Then since he's level 3, he would have an additional 3 HP for each level of his constitution modifier: If you stick with 11, that means the mod is 0 so he would get no extra HP from that. Make sure to specify which sub race of dwarf he is, because one of those sub races gets extra HP. There's also backgrounds and stuff in there. If you need any more help with anything just PM me and I can go into more detail.

It's not the same idea I had when I started, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Hogrom, the idiot minotaur bard who strongs when he's supposed to speed and worships a story telling dragon god.
Name: Hogrom
Race: Minotaur
Class: Bard
Archetype: College of Valor

nman's campaign: You Have Two Cows.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Hogrom looks great, although recalculate the health. Bards at level 3 are 8+5+5, and his constitution adds another 6, so it should be 24, unless there's a feature or class thing I overlooked. Coincidentally, Thrall and Pyrite also have characters whose classes have the same health progression, as well as the same Constitution score, so they also have 24 HP.
Also just add in his name/race/class/sub-class (college) to your post to make it faster for someone looking through the thread to look through the party at a glance.
Also thank you very much for putting in the effort to list all of the weights of his equipment, that certainly makes life easier for everyone.
What can I say, as long as the party doesn't only consist of humans I'm happy.

Should I spell out all of my character's equipment? I'm sorry.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.- Name: Grant Stevens
- Race: Tiefling
- Class: Warlock
- Background: Though clearly a Tiefling just by looking at him (not many folks have horns or a prehensile tail, after all), the blood is fairly dilute by Grant's generation. The only hints he has to the identity of his progenitor demon are hearsay and old stories. This is not to say he hasn't benefited from his ancestry. His natural charms allowed him a rather cushy deal with his new infernal patron: dabbling in the dark arts, and a full time job as a Notary Official. These days, he seeks to give everyone a fair shake in documentation, from mortal disputes, to deals with devils. Still, bureaucrats are seldom suited for combat, and he'll flee the moment things look hopeless.
- Sheet: Right here. Please let me know if it's missing anything at all.

Ahh, my bad. Misread it as 6 per level, not 5; should be fixed now.
On inventory: I couldn't see anywhere if we were doing encumbrance, so I calculated it all out there in case we were. Are we using encumbrance?
If anyone has better idea for bard spells at level 1 or 2, let me know. I'm trying to stay away with the more overtly magical ones for him, but if there's one that's essential to playing a bard well I can pick it up.
@Grant: I believe he should also have 24 health, as he also has one of those 8+5+5 classes, and +2 CON would add another 6, unless I missed some sort of pact or other aspect. And could you space out his cantrips/spells/invocations in his list so that it's clear which is in which category?
You can assume we're using the default rules for everything, unless I've specified that we're using a variant rule. So we're just sticking to the default carry weight of 15 pounds per strength point. For like 95% of the time nobody's going to get close to that limit anyway. (And also because I find encumbrance to be a little annoying and nitpicky to deal with, and detracts from the fun parts).

Relevant edits made to the character sheet. Should be more legible now.
I'll make some edits today.
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.So question regarding the start. Could Grant just be working at the mayors office when a bumbling group of mercs pours in? And when an impish paralegal helps him draft the contract for the quest, they pretty much strongarm him into joining them. Is that a thing that can happen?
I can't accommodate that particular introduction, as basically the only limitation on backstories was that characters are effectively "strangers" to Tallasi. It's not exactly a Twin Peaks sort deal, but at least for the start it's a lot smoother when everyone's a homeless, jobless murderhobo adventurer.
Also, I would prefer it that characters want to actually go on an adventure, rather than being forced on it. I can't control how the other player characters view your character, so there's no guarantee they would like him so much that they go out of the way to beg him to come along. The NPCs also wouldn't want him to go, since it means they're going to be giving up on whatever local government services he was previously filling.

Understood. I'll play it by ear then, see what sort of introduction works when it comes to be crunch time.
For the most part you're all just going to be in the same office waiting for the mayor. Most people would be there because of the notice, I presume, though I leave it up to each of you to explain why they're there.
Posted an edited signup sheet.
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.Excellent, although it's still missing some stuff like his class features, racial traits, subrace, equipment, and then his ideals/bonds/flaws.
Also since the weekends are usually busy and no one posts anyway, plus we've got one last person working on their sheet, I think I'll start the game early next week, like on Monday. The first couple days of posts will probably be meeting up, exposition, and question and answer, so there's a few extra days to finish up sheets before the actual adventure starts.
Interested, going to draft a character sheet. Am I correct to assume we'll be using our own dice, or will the GM be rolling for us?
