I remember reading about this. The creator of the game grew up during the Iranian Revolution and wanted to make a game about that period of history by showing both sides point of view.
However, the Iranian government didn't like that (possibly because the game would paint them as Not So Different as the old government they topple) so they try to charge him for being a Spy which forced the creator to not only to leave Iran but also hide his identity to protect his family in Iran.

Okay, when I first read it I thought "Oh great, a game that will paint a tyrannical dictatorship in a positive light" but then I read and I thought "Oh good it doesn't."
Yeah, this would have to be pretty bad for me to have no interest at all.
Yeah, it would be interesting to have various periods of time to see more light.

It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground! The game has been released!... for apparently over a week now.
Seriously, it was released on the 5th and I didn't even get a notification of it despite it being on my wishlist. Instead, the stupid Steam client constantly spams me with notifications that Battlefleet Gothic is on sale for 10% off. Not sure if that's a glitch, or Steam's starting to show favor towards certain products...
But enough of that. I'm installing the game just right now, so I won't have much of an opinion on how good or bad the story is for a couple of days. And sadly, there aren't much reviews out in the net for the game either, aside from Kotaku and GamingTrend. Everything else is just user reviews, and those are either far too glowing and forgiving, or were written by obvious racist trolls/douchebags/whatever.

Why isn't this being more noticed? It is a somewhat unique and very interesting setting. It is not like Telltale is an obscure indie, so how come no more people are talking about it?
Anyway, now I know it exist I need to buy it asap.
EDIT:Oh, never mind. I misread the thread title. That explains things.

That sounds interesting.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.
So FINALLY somebody's making a decent game about another part of the world, and one that is often demonized by the West too!
As the title suggests it's likely going to play like a typical Telltale adventure game, but more graphic and realistic. I'm not too certain what the exact gameplay is like however - the only bits of info I've been able to find out so far are what's on IGN and the Youtube trailer, so that's not very much. Still, it's from a former designer coming from Rockstar, so I'd assume he's got some experience in the industry.

Best of all, it's coming out next month on April 5th, so we won't have to wait long to see if the game's good.
