Needs Help: Characters.Marvel Cinematic Universe

Hi! First of all, great idea, if you still need anyone to help out, I'm game!

Secondly, this has come up in the MCU thread in Live Action Films: there were spoilers for Cap 3 on the film's main page, which I marked out at least until the official release. I've now seen that the same is true for one of Black Panther's tropes, and I wanted to ask how you're planning to hold that in general? The info is hidden under spoiler tags, but if someone wants to edit the entry, they'll see it, and since the movie hasn't been officially released yet, most people likely wouldn't want to be spoilered lke this.

If you want to further edit the Black Panther entry, go right ahead! I was just saying that right now, moving other characters to new pages can wait until the outline is done. Everything in CACW that constitutes as a spoiler should be tagged.

Spoilers from Cap 3 simply should not be on the page until official release. Remove them entirely. We give a tiny bit of leeway for stuff shown in trailers as long as it doesn't stray into rampant speculation.

"Official release" is technically tomorrow, though - in several international territories. Commenting it out until then would be prudent.

Just out of curiosity, how long do you reckon it'll all take?

Phase 1 is done, so I think I can knock the rest out Phase 2 and Phase 3 in a day or two.

I would suggest that the Government and Military page be named US Government and Military, since there are other nations featured in the MCU that may eventually get their own entries.

1) Sitwell should be placed under HYDRA Operatives, instead of S.H.I.E.L.D. Operatives

2) Ancient Society should be place at the top of the HYDRA Leadership page.

Technically, I planned to have different sub-sections for respective governments and militares.

Just on an organizational note, I would like to suggest doing something similar to Characters.Metal Gear where there is a secondary index with folders listing characters in individual works and links to the pages they are now in on the Characters.Marvel Cinematic Universe once the other phases are complete.

Our planned structure requires knowledge of various films, So if someone wants to say, find Bucky after watching Winter Soldier, they won't be able to easily do so without knowledge of Civil War or looking through potentially ALL the notes. This is only compounded by having 12+ films and 6+ series. I believe having both a by page index and by film index linking to the pages by character allows for easier navigation for both editors and readers.

Would John Garrett not go under HYDRA Leadership as well?

That probably would be a good idea for a redirect. Props to the people that have helped along with shifting everything over!

About 75% done with Phase 2.

1) Erik Selvig should go under Avengers allies

2) HYDRA Leadership should be split up into Ancient Society, & Science Division

Also, Howard Stark should be at the top of the Stark Industries section, since he's the Founder!!

Wait one second here. I'm looking at some of the pages that you guys have passed through, and they look... weird. I'm specifically talking about Characters.Daredevil 2015 Law Enforcement. Why does each individual character have a link pointing them to Characters.MCU Citizens? I thought the point was to just do a redirect to point all the pages at Characters.Marvel Cinematic Universe, and then people find the appropriate subpages from there. Like with Characters.Star Wars. Right now, it takes a dozen clicks to find the character you're looking for.

I was trying to get to moving everyone over before forcing all the redirects. Sorry if that's seemed a bit counter-intuitive. Right now, I don't want anyone to "lose" any information.

Question/Suggestion: Wouldn't the "As A Team" folder under Avenger Initiative be better placed on the main Avengers page? That way it can refer to all the Avengers in the setting, not just the original six.

id say the original six avengers initiative fit a certain mold as a team and should stay.

but there can be another more comprehensive team that includes everyone on the avengers page.

All the Character Pages for all of the films except Characters.Ant Man now redirect to the MCU directory page. So Phase 3 is starting to be implemented as Phase 2 wraps up.

Did some changes to various page (Reorganised the HYDRA Leadership, & Thanos' Forces pages, and moved Howard Stark to the top of the Stark Industries section on the Companies page). I think it now looks a lot neater!!!! :)

Sorry for the double post people, but WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?? The project's has since stalled, WHY???

How about reorganising the page into something more akin to the Star Wars Characters page, splitting the characters off into sub-sections???
