Yeah, those are both really bad.
Those need to go. They illustrate nothing and they aren't even good quality.
EDIT: I decided to remove them, as using macros as page images is against wiki policy.
Here are the pics that were on The Anti-Nihilist and Straw Nihilist, respectively:

Reaction Image RepositoryWent ahead and tagged both pages. Nothing comes to mind here.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportNo pic for now.
(Annoyed grunt)^ I could go with that.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Isn't there a character in xkcd (the white hat guy) that basically embodies this? We could dig through some strips with him and see if anything works.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Oh yeah, Beret Guy. This strip is linked on The Anti-Nihilist. We could either stack all three panels vertically or just use 2+3.
Read left to right

I like 8 using panels 2 + 3.
I can't even tell what's going on in 9.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? That girl is The Pollyanna taken to a ridiculous extreme...not a good example of either trope we're working with here. I like the XKCD pic...the entire thing is good with me

Thinking about it, I think we should use all three panels if it doesn't take up too much space aesthetically. I like how Beret Guy uses Straw Nihilistic language in the first panel before turning it around on the other guy.
I like the xkcd suggestion. Sure, all three panels work.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Go with all three panels.
(Annoyed grunt)for the xkcd strip.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportRandall Munroe, XKCD's author, has actually given us carte blanche to use any of his comics for illustrations, actually. So in normal circumstances, we'd want to ask, but in this particular case we already know.
Reaction Image RepositoryDo we need any more consensus?
Let's get another or two.
here's one
Perfect.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. And there we go. It's up and tagged; caption? Seems good to me without one.
Yeah, it's good by itself, but just to throw one out:
"Life may be meaningless. Future is not."
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Is that the Alt Text? It works great.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
Both The Anti-Nihilist and the Straw Nihilist pages have recently had image macros added. No ideas for a replacement, though as I think the trope is hard to show without a lampshade.
