Marco was stunned silent by the fact that the Digimon, these monsters he had heard about, were not only real, but standing right in front of him. He couldn't even speak, he was so stunned. Finally, he managed to pull himself together.
"You guys... are real? You're an actual thing?" He winced, looking down at his pocket. He wondered if the appearance of the Digimon had to do with the strange reaction his phone had to the QR code....
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Arashi, kind of not really paying any attention to the current conversation, starts to fiddle around with his phone, trying to figure out what it can do. Pressing a few buttons, the screen suddenly springs to life and flashes, startling him quite a bit as Mephiles starts to yell about something.
"What the fu-" Mephiles is unable to say anymore, as he starts to break down into dark purple data and is soon sucked into Arashi's phone, which he soon drops on his desk. He's pretty much speechless after what he just saw.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Sophie: What the!?
Alpsam: (drops a piece of chalk) That's astounding!
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Marco crossed his arms, frowning deeper and looking intensely confused. "Okay, this trip just went from weird to weirder, to even weirder. Maybe I should've just ignored the message," he muttered, sounding concerned.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Alpsam: (returns to the chalkboard the box moves a bit)
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Arashi picks his phone back up and hits the buttons again, causing the same dark purple data to start pouring out of the device and reform back into Mephiles.
"-ck. Wait, what just happened?" Mephiles asks, incredibly confused on what might have happened to him.
"I guess we just found out one of the features of this thing." Arashi says, already thinking of a couple ways to use this in his pranks. Mephiles, wisely decides to just sit back down, since he knows by now he's not going to be able to get much else out of his friend while he's like this.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!-Phil was pretty silent at the sudden dematerialization and rematerialization of the little imp-thing, stepping back and staring for the most part-
G-guess the name is what it meant after all...
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.Alexis wouldn't say that she was defined by routines. That was too rigid, too uncool—and beyond that, it wasn't entirely accurate. She liked routines, but she was known to be lax sometimes, to forget things, or to reschedule her daily routine so as to better allot her resources.
Alexis would admit that she was pretty well defined by due dates, however. Integral part of her job, part of growing up, part of her student's life, part of—well, everything, really. Alexis would admit that she really liked her due dates—or, at least, the concept of them. Gave her something to work herself around and to center herself around, with her other tasks using them as a central springboard and for support when things went wrong.
Whatever was going on right now was clearly breaking her routine, and worse than that it was going to make her late. Being late was similar to missing a due date, really, in that she really didn't like it. Well, in this situation, that wasn't the only reason she didn't like it. She didn't like this situation because a giant scheme of QR codes had covered the entirety of her windshield, preventing her from pulling out of the parking lot and making her way to work.
Alexis knew that it was a QR code, but Alexis also knew that her windshield was not covered in QR codes. This was some sort of optical illusion, or some sort of trickery being played on her that she really didn't have the time for. If only it'd—Alexis shook her head and let out a relaxed breath. She tried to stay calm. She knew there wasn't a point getting mad at herself for being crazy, it wouldn't help any. Maybe she should head to the hospital before school today, get her psyche checked out—she couldn't be teaching children if she started seeing QR codes everywhere she looked. Alexis got out of her car and leaned against the door, pulling up her phone to check google maps.
She turned to look at the windshield one last time, to make sure that the QR codes were still there and that she hadn't imagined them. . . only to see that they were gone. A momentary look of relief spread across her face, before she blinked and a series of black dots and lines interrupted her vision. She glanced around in confusion for a few moments, before terror dawned across her face. She pulled her sunglasses away from her eyes, and—as true as day, the QR code glinted on her left lens. It was... it was... well. Alexis would admit that she had clearly gone insane, now.
She swiped google maps to the side and off her screen, swiping to get to her phone app—before she stopped. It was a stupid thought, but. . . maybe she should see what exactly lay on the other side of the captcha code. What sort of madness there was. And if there wasn't anything there, then it'd just confirm for her that she was crazy. Crazy Ms. Carters. It had a nice ring to it. Alexis swiped the other way on her phone than tapped her QR scanner, and pulled it up to the left lens of her sunglasses. Click.
The smartphone in her hands melted away, transforming and reshaping itself. What had once been shiny, Android black was now some poorly thought out pastel yellow, and what had once been a gloriously well-kept and clean screen shrunk down to a screen that looked barely big enough to be 64x64 pixels. Buttons covered the rest of it. Alexis' face cracked and shifted between looks of utter confusion and horror—and one passing look of 'didn't I have one like this when I was younger?'—before settling into complete confusion. She held it at arms length, carefully putting her sunglasses back on with her other hand.
Another ping came from the device, and then a text pop up of—oh god, is that font Comic Sans—came up on her screen.
Creatures like these are fleeing to our world. Many of them need our help, many of them are dangers to us, because they are scared and angry. If you want to do something about this situation, meet me in Lovelace Academy, room 210. 3 PM today. Be sure to bring this device with you.
Well. . . hn. At least it was at her school. Today was going to be a long day.
The day passed relatively quickly for Alexis, and she only ended up about a minute late to class. She doubt her students really noticed her being late, and she doubted any of them noticed her careful glances towards the clock and her relative lightness on their assignments today. Those who did probably liked it, Alexis rationalized— well, at least enough to not complain. After her lass class of the day, she closed up her room, carefully took her laptop and phone and headed to room 210.
On arrival, she opened the door and stepped in. "Hi. Is this the right room for the magical phone transformation explanations?" She followed her words with a slight, nervous laugh, then glanced around the room for anyone she recognized.
Notebook City, Lovelace Academy, Room 210
Alyesha looked around as the socializing started, for now just just wanted to look a bit, plus she still had to process what she saw just now, she noticed the box moving. Likely there was another of those Digimon in there. So she prepared herself for that.

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Room 210
Desmond looked around at all the other Digimon.
"Oh. It's safe to come out now."
He opens his jacket to reveal a Fanbeemon on his torso. It starts buzzing nervously.
"Oh don't be like that."
The Insect mon flits and moves to Desmond's back.
"There's no need to be afraid -_-"
GIVE ME YOUR FACEJulius pointed at Arashi. "Okay, how did you do that? Because I seriously need to know, you have no idea how bad he gets" The teen explain, jabbing a thumb at Galahad.
The digimon was immediately in the human's face. "Don't you dare try to blind nor muffle me, you Vagabond! Else I will have at thee."
"Stop talking like a knight you piece of scrap." Julius shot back, the two glaring daggers at each other.
-dramatic music ensues-Stormy Seas; Undisclosed location: Undisclosed Time
Lightning cracked through the night sky, briefly providing illumination for a destroyers worth of navy men as they began the setup for the sea trials of there fully autonomous sub, slowly lowering the metal fish into the water with the metal chains normally used for lifeboats.
The mumble of various Ensigns cluttered the deck, barely able to be overheard from the rain.
"Who assigns guard duty in the middle of a typhoon? Are we protecting the Ark of the fucking Covenant?"
"You know... isn't this how Skynet started?"
"Think about it this way, Tanaka. It's a submarine. It can't climb stairs."
"And what happens when it learns how to use legs?"
"Easy. I'll die screaming, and my last words will be 'IT'S A SUBMARINE, IT CAN'T CLIMB STAIRS' while an army of submarines with legs climb the stairs after me."
"...That is really morbid, Sato."
This exchange is however cut off by a whistle followed by "Attention Captain on deck!"
After a quick salute, the crew finished lowering there man sized drone into the water with a splash.
And the Captain themselves spoke up
"Alright crew this is the situation at hand, we have been ordered to test a prototype fully autonomous sub, as we speak, the machine should be headed off to a buoy we have set up, upon it making visual conformation of the device, it will dive and we are to tail it back to port, are the instructions clear?"
"Sire Yes Sir!" The entire deck answered in unison, but they were quickly cut off by a flash of bright light.
Quickly returning there attention to the sea, they witnessed a glowing QR code fading out of existence, as there prototype was engulfed in a bright white light, before vanishing under the water.
And the ensigns once again returned to there chatter
"Son of a bitch, I had my money riding on this one working!"
"Oh Shit, they were actually making a capital-ship flash bang!"
"Sir! No readings on Sonar, the drone is gone!"
Sato, just slowly turned to the Captain, "...Sir?"
"What is it now, Sato?"
"You know what they should've named this ship?"
The Captain sighed, "What?"
"The fucking Eldridge II."
"Sato, you have KP Duty for a week..."
"Worth it"
The Captain just burried his head in his hands, "How the hell am I gonna explain this? I don't think 'acts of God' will save me from negligence charges!"
Present; Room 210
A bit after every thing started, and defiantly late to arrive, a strange and confused looking girl knocked on the door, and then entered.
She took a look around, but it did not seem to help her much of any, her expression was one of some one who knew they were supposed to be here, but not exactly sure where "here" is.

Sophie: (waves at the newcomer still on the floor looking around the room)
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. There certainly was a lot of tension between the gear Digimon and their partner. The boy did strike her as deliquent-ish and probably not someone she should associate herself with.
Kaede did notice a familiar face come in. Was that her History teacher? Did she also get involved in all of it? Either way, Kaede attempted to wave at Alexis in order to draw her attention.
Alexis headed over to Kaede, setting her bag down between them and then giving her an easy smile. There was some shaking in the bag..
"Ah! Kaede, I'd been meaning to congragulate you on what a good job you did on that map assignment last week. I've been thinking of changing the in-class example map to yours, if you wouldn't mind."

Alpsam: Alright. Attention students. I suppose you may have noticed the gears, and the imp in the room.
Sophie: Ms. Alpsam?
Alpsam: They aren't the only one of their kind. (opens the box. A Betamon, Tapirmon, Monodramon, Kokuwamon, Renamon, White Pawnchessmon, Gazimon, and Syakomon burst out of the large box and onto the floor. Patamon on the other hand is still napping upside down on the top of the box)
Alpsam: I give you all credit for having such patience. I couldn't think of a better way to get you all into this school.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.-Phil was still pretty quiet, slowly observing the goings on before carefully stepping over to Ms Aplsam-
Uh... Hey miss A. So you're the one heading this little... Project I guess?
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing. She really should've figured that something like that was going to happen when she drew the teacher's attention. "O-Oh... It's no problem, really," she answered it with a smile. "Great, just another way to get more fame as a nerd." she thought, mentally sighing
She then looked as the other teacher opened a box from which came a whole bunch of other creatures. "Whoa! There are so many of them!" she yelled out, until she realized how loud she was being and covered her mouth.

"Heilige Hölle", Lilith muttered.
After a brief shock, Lil lazily brush a strand of her strawberry blond hair out of her face as sheexcitedly size up the new digimon. Maybe they wont be boring. Maybe she was right and this might be the answer to this lame city that her parents banished her. Though just maybe.
They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chan"So I guess I'll be the one to ask then, but why did you call us all here?" Arashi asks, wondering what is going on at this point; Mephiles just eyes all the Digimon surrounding him, a small smile on his face as he imagines the mischief he can get up to with the new Digimon.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Alpsam tapped the board with her pointer. "I have invited you all because this city is in danger. Patamon. Can you handle the slide show?" the teacher asked.
"If I have to." the Patamon said, putting her foot on the clicker.
"There is a world beyond our own. A world connected to ours and shaped by ours. This is the Digital world." She tapped her pointer thrice.
The slides shown depicted a world littered with telephone poles, trees that grow meat, and rainbows made of binary code. They paused on a fourth slide depicting a metallic winged figure which might be described as looking somewhat humanoid.
"The digital world exists in our world as a server. This server is run by Yggdrasil, a program designed to keep the server intact at all costs. They have decided that there are too many Digimon to be contained in the Digital world. Only the strongest are allowed to remain, the rest must escape or be destroyed."
Patamon hid her eyes under her wings.
Alpsam coughed and she moved on to the next slide.
"A digimon's life is marked by different stages of power and maturity. From a time they are born, they may go through six stages. Fresh, Baby, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate and Mega." The diagram showed a Botamon, a Koromon, and Augumon, a Greymon, a Metalgreymon, and a Wargreymon. "Yggdrasil is right now only targeting the youngest and weakest. The Digimon I have brought with you today are Rookies. They are strong enough to fend for themselves, but relatively weak compared to Digimon of the latter three levels."
"So what does this have to do with us?" Sophie asked. "What do we have to do with any of this stuff?"
"That is a good question Ms. Almassy." Alpsam replied. "Not all of the refugee Digimon are willing to just hide in the shadows of this world. Some are going to do whatever it takes to survive, regardless of the lives of the humans already here. Already there have bee reports of property damage and thefts that are impossible for humans to have committed. As Yggdrasil targets stronger Digimon, stronger Digimon will in turn flee here, and the bigger they are the more damage they can do."
"So you want us to fight these things?" Sophie asked. "But you said it yourself, these Digimon aren't that tough. How are we supposed to compete with the big guys?"
"The answer lies with the device that received the message I sent you last night. They are a part of an interface designed by the creator of the Digital world, that allows humans to prompt an acceleration in a Digimon's natural growth. These are called Digivice's and you can use them to allow one Digimon to reach higher levels."
"This is a lot to take in..." said Sophie. She had found her way back in her chair and was staring at the celing.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."So these... Digimon, as you call them—they're capable of independent thought? They have to be, if they're forcing their own out," Alexis mused outloud, before shaking her head and regaining her train of thought.
"Do the ones you have gathered here want to fight? I don't want to see anything, even something as strange as these little folk, get forced into violence if it can be helped."
"These lot are the only ones who are comfortable fighting. Even her surprisingly enough." Ms. Alpsam looked at Patamon. "The rest of them are living in my home, at the moment."
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing."So let me get this straight? Your asking to parnter up with this creatures? Then to fight other digimon! Teche, you better not be joking here!"
Finally the answer to her bored appeared. Yes they were unbelievable. Yes they could lead to her death. But that what made it fun.
They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chan
The socializing had begun and Kaede was still feeling quite uncomfortable among all those people she didn't know, so she simply remained seated and watching everybody talk to each other. Soon they took out what she could only assume were other of those Digimon creatures, one being a group of gears and the other being a little imp creature. They were so different from each other, but both seemed to have human leve intelligence; the gears were apparently a Harugumon and the imp was appropriately called Impmon, she was already starting to see a pattern to the name of those creatures.
Kaede then took a small chocolate bar out of her bag and began biting into it while she remained awkwardly sitting there, looking at those people and analysing their personalities so she could know how to act around them. If nothing else the girl that had been drawing earlier falling off her chair was enough to earn a giggle from her.
