Ohhhhhhhhhh!

The title "Your Mother And Mine" confuses me. My immediate thought is Rose, though I'm not sure how she'd fit into an episode about Garnet meeting the Off Colors.

Another thought is that Garnet's Ruby and Rhodonite's Ruby came from the same Kindergarten.

Maybe Mrs. Barriga comes along?

The 'Mom' probably refers to Garnet.

So how many episodes will this be into Season 5?

Sixteen, unless you're referring to just "Your Mother And Mine", which might be thirteen.

Meant all of these upcoming episodes altogether.

I'm going to guess this means Season 5 isn't the last season or something? Because they'd need to deal with a lot of stuff if there's only 10 episodes left after this one with no word of a renewal. I'm just really confused how they're doing this.

We've also seen storyboarders being hired last year alongside SU voice actresses recording together this year. So yeah the show won't be over in Season 5, but why they're taking this long to reveal it is the question. The only thing I can think of is that they want to deliberately create a Series Fauxnale for hype reasons.

I've suspected they might've extended Season 5 some given CN has changed how they divide seasons up, but I can't really confirm if that's the case or not.

I just had a thought: what if one of the "most unlikely timelines" in Pool Hopping is the Rupphire wedding?

Most plausible thing I've read so far suggests that the focus on Garnet is leading to something happening to her character,since the episodes will make the audience care before said event happens

Huh... I could see one major thing that could happen to Garnet, which would totally hit HSQ if they went through with it - what if Homeworld found a way to disrupt and prevent fusion? If they were to attack Earth again, given the Crystal Gems' known history of using it effectively, I could totally see them working on a way to do that. The race to get around that would be pretty huge, not to mention result in a bunch of potential character development for Ruby and Sapphire.

I was thinking Ruby and Sapphire being forcefully spilt because one of them gets kidnapped (most likely Sapphire),Aquamarine will probably will involved again

Peridot in a sweater...I suprisingly can't think of anything to say for that.

Pool hopping looks suspiciously normal.

So a townie episode with Peridot?

I always thought that townie episodes would be better received if the Gems were more involved, so this one excites me.

Same. The townies aren't bad, but it should mostly be about Steven, Connie, and the Gems at this point. And maybe Sadie and Lars.

There have been episodes with the gems interacting with the human characters, but they've been somewhat hit and miss. "The New Crystal Gems" had some people finding Peridot, and Lapis kind of annoying because of the way they were acting, and Gem Harvest ended up being unintentionally controversial, because it introduced Andy's character after the 2016 election, and he rubbed some people the wrong way. Not everyone liked the episode with Jamie crushing on Garnet either.

And there's "Rocknaldo". Any Ronaldo episode is going to have people split on it. . Mostly against Ronaldo.

There's of course "Last One Out Of Beach City" that was received really well. And "Mr. Greg" too if you count that one as a townie episode, or at least one with the gems interacting with human characters. But yeah, I can only name a couple episodes like those that were considered really good.

All of Ronald's episodes have involved Gem stuff...

"Mr. Greg" doesn't count...

Well that's just more townie and gem episodes that weren't considered good then. We might want them, but when we get them the audience usually doesn't especially like them.

Those episodes tend to have specific things that people complain about, as opposed to the general “townie episodes are boring” sentiment, which is more what I was talking about.

And yeah, I don’t think Greg or Connie-focused episodes count.
