I think it’s a delicate balancing act. I heavily dislike Lance, and found his Casanova act rather unfunny (mostly because no one called him out on it) but I can only think of one rejection story in recent memory where both sides looked good accepting a platonic relationship - Gravity Falls. Not to mention if she did reject him, unless he shows a serious maturation and decides that a woman isn’t important, it sort of leaves his character in a void unless he hits on Romelle or something.

I hate the plots of, boy gets crush on girl, girl doesn't like him at first, but eventually she changes her mind because "he's earned it" or some shit. As if she's some prize to be won (which she usually is, narratively). It's why I loved how Gravity Falls dealt with Dipper and Wendy; it let Wendy reject Dipper without turning her evil or into a raging bitch. I honestly hope they go that route with Allurance, because the idea of Allura ending up changing her mind and falling for him because, well, he likes her so obviously that's what she Has To Do, would make me retch.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. That was such a rare occurrence. Wendy wasn’t a raging bitch, and Dipper wasn’t a pathetic loser. They stayed friends. It worked out because they acted like well...adults.
Not sure if I trust VLD to do that. Either Lance wins her over or she becomes a bitch in rejecting him which makes both of them look bad. Or she does return his love, but ends the series exiled in space or something stupid like that.
I more wonder how much in detail did the mice tell the her in regards to what Lance said. Romance in fiction and reality is always complicated. People like the guy to get the girl or the girl to get the guy or the guy and or girl to get the harem.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaSo there's no hope here for a gentle rejection and him moving on? Haven't the writers mentioned something about how they'll deal with romance.
It really, REALLY depends. I think the romance actually going through could work if it ends with her saying something to the effect of “I didn’t fall in love with the blow hard who thought he was irresistible to women. I fell in love with the selfless man who went out of his way for me.” Can they pull that off? Eh. And I really don’t want a rejection to end up with a love triangle. Lance resenting Keith or Shiro for “stealing his woman” is like Klance - NO BUENO.

I don't think Lance will be a full-blown "Nice Guy" but he has to drop the jealousy bit. Even if Lotor was a bad apple, it didn't make Lance's jealousy towards him any less aggravating.
Regarding Dipper, are we all pretending "Roadside Attraction" didn't happen? Because that's just fine with me.
I'm kind of split on whether Lance and Allura should get together. On one hand, it would be refreshing if Lance didn't "get the girl" and honestly, Allura's tone when she found out sounded like she didn't feel the same. The scene where they console each other would've been a good time to bring it up. Considering she didn't, I don't feel she returns those feelings. At the same time, them ending up together doesn't really feel like Lance was "rewarded" with her. His flirtation attempts have more or less stopped for a while, and they have gotten scenes where they genuinely bond and get to know each other as people. Lance being depressed about her and Lotor is pretty much his realization that he does have genuine feelings for her and it's not just a shallow crush played for laughs.
The only possible romance that would give me a strong "HELL NO!" reaction would be Pidge and Hunk.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).In its own weird way, that was proof he moved on from Wendy.
Roadside Attraction was Dipper getting yelled at just for making friends with different girls. All he did was get their email addresses/phone numbers (can't remember which).
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"They weren't even romances, just Dipper talking to/flirting with girls, getting their numbers and then going to he next tourist trap. Then he was a jerk for daring to talk to more than one girl on his trip (why were the girls waiting for him to call them while they all still were on their respective trips is beyond me, except for conflict's sake).
But anyways, Voltron. I think the main issue with their story-telling is not so much pacing but a lack of set-up. Concepts like Oriande, the Altean colony and their Soylent Quintessence, and even Lotor himself are not hinted at enough. They are introduced and next episode, BAM! they're vital to the plot. The concepts that have a good set-up are either really stretched out to nearly the point of exhaustion (Project Kuron) or dropped quietly once it's not needed anymore (Lion Bonding).
The reason "evil Earth" keeps getting brought up is due to the fact that (if I'm not mistaken) Earth was being ruled by an evil empire during some runs of Voltron. And considering how the Galaxy Garrison treated Shiro when he returned from space I don't think them going batshit about aliens and alien technology is that uncalled for.
The idea of there being a force on Earth that can actually stand up to Voltron is very unlikely though unless this cryosleep lasts a lot longer than planned.
Oissu!I dunno, the Lions suffer pretty badly from Strong as They Need to Be. At least an ambush with some kind of disabling weapon would be pretty par for the course.
Considering we have no real clue what direction the show is heading in (Lauren has been hinting at Season 7 being a “road trip” chock full of filler, while others have mentioned a time skip that would presumably fast forward us right to Earth and whatever is waiting there) this is going to be the reveal of the next major arc.
Zarkon is a real pussy magnet.
I wonder if Blaytz's Galra boyfriend will ever reappear.
Finally, the answer to "would the show be better with the 80s voices" (Mild latest season spoilers)

Holy shit that's hilarious.
A true masterpiece
Someone should do the same with all of the Lotor and Allura scenes this season.
Why does Shiro look exactly like Keith's dad and even wear the same outfit he did? When Keith calls Shiro his brother, was he being literal? Are they half brothers? Did their dad have a wife before Krolia, who bore Shiro and then died?
I think Keith gives Shiro his dad's old clothes to wear in the first episode, because he was in Galra slave rags when he first landed.
Oissu!I was thinking that also in regards to the clothes.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaIt looks like Keith and Shiro are completely unrelated True Companions (finally that dumb and honestly usually incredibly racist Broganes theory can be put to rest) and the resemblance to Keith's dad is just a coincidence. At some point after Keith's father died and he joined the Garrison, Shiro took a liking to him and became his mentor figure, which I've seen some people speculate because Shiro is an orphan himself and saw him as a kindred spirit. Word of God confirmed the clothes Shiro wears in Seasons 1-2 are Keith's dad's firefighting uniform, because he had nothing else to wear after he crashlanded.
I'm not particularly enthused about the Lance/Allura ship they're pushing now, but other then that this season was a good capping off of what they've been building up to since season 2.
Though goddammit the Dungeons and Dragons should've stuck to one thing and parodied it, get this gaming UI crap out of here if you're gonna try to simulate a tabletop game
