The what?
Classic Voltron had a scene where the pilots had fun swimming in a pool but Allura's bikini fell off.
And I still question how it got past the censors given everything else they edited.
Huh. So thats something that happened
Wait.
They left that in Voltron!?
How? How did they get away with that? I'm not shocked something like that happened in Go Lion, but how did Voltron get away with it?
One Strip! One Strip!@Beatman
The Search for Shrio? What are you talking about.
And respectfully I think that is really stupid and makes no sense at all.
Like it makes less then no sense.

That said, the cryosleep thing kinda worries me on account of the fact that, well, the side characters they introduced felt underused already in seasons 5 and 6. I'd hate if they had a timeskip and bam, now the supporting cast is either too old to have an active role anymore or dead from old age.
x3 Namely that the constant “find Shiro” thing has been done thrice, the cliffhanger of Season 1, Season 3, and now here. You can only hit the same plot beat so many times before the audience grows numb.
And why is the idea of a villainous human faction a bad one, especially given the timeskip? Like I said, anything could be present after all that time and there’s no central antagonist. Arriving home to nothing having changed seems...boring to be frank.
What find Shiro thing. Everyone got separated at the end of Season 1. There was no find Shiro plot. In Season 3 they found the Clone. Which was the end of the search. And what do you mean by "now here". Did you watch the episode? None of these are the same plot beats. As it's only been done once.
There is nothing wrong with a villainous human faction. The idea that a Dictator suddenly took over earth and built robots that rival Voltron is stupid in my opinion however. And Haggar and Sendak are still around so we still have main antagonists left.

I could see a villianous earth faction attempt to steal voltron to reverse engineer it.
I do enjoy Evil Counterparts.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That’s why I want a human enemy, to present a different kind of opponent.
Of course a lot of this, logically depends on how much time has passed. Two years? Underground resistances most likely plotting against aliens. Ten years in cryosleep?
Lance - So, what’s Earth like now? Is dubstep still a thing? I’m sure everyone missed us!
Smash Cut to Earth -
Human enemies I am fine with.
The above examples you have given I just find dumb. Underground resistance? Sudden Dictatorship? When the thing that makes the most sense would just be a sinister clandestine organization.
If there are human enemies. (And that is a fairly significant if.) I am near certain it will just fall into the evil organization group.

I will say, Beatman, that if you want a different kind of opponent, your idea does seem to be "Galra, but humans".
Oh God! Natural light! When I say “Underground resistance”, that’s what I mean. Anyone here remember the Friends of Humanity from X-Men? Most of humanity is fine with aliens and what we can learn from them and their knowledge of food goo, but I could easily see a secretive society of ner-do-wells convinced the aliens want to take us over and look to steal/copy Voltron’s power then build a wall around Earth and make the Galra pay for it.
The whole “evil Earth Empire” thing is admittedly driven by what Voltron Force tried to do with Sky Marshall Wade but bungled with his motivation. A villain obsessed with Voltron, convinced of humanity’s superiority, and with the ultimate desire not to capture Voltron, but to make a weapon superior to it. Then they revealed he was just greedy, and that was a major letdown IMO. So that sort of approach has an appeal.
I never said Anti Alien Human Group.Which would not make much sense, as all of the Paladins are Humans other then Allura and she can barely be told apart form a human.

Any irrational xenophobe can say they've been "tainted" by alien influence and use that as an excuse.
Given recent world events, I would say such a reaction is likely. Not to mention those that just want alien technology and use xenophobia as an excuse.
I imagine if we found irrefutable proof of intelligent alien life some people would break down or go into denial since that would mean humanity isn't "special" anymore. I think one webcomic had that exact scenario happen.
All we do is write stories about how shitty we are. Honestly, I think some could deal with it.
One Strip! One Strip!Until the raving mad ones kill them for not going mad.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Most scifi stories i've seen imply that humans are actually the important species in existence and the others just don't realize it.
I understand that much, but it makes “The search for Shiro” a time waster since we know he’s going to come back. The continual pulling of this isn’t going to build tension when the end result is obvious.
So, Earth. We’re going to get a Beach Episode aren’t we? And it probably won’t be as fun as the infamous lake scene in the original.
