The quality's not great in the second panel, for sure...maybe the same scene from Braveheart?
I rather like the example shown from Hero.. I say just fix the borders and be done with it. Nothing against using examples from different works.

I think the first one looks like actual rain, or at least Hollywood rain. The second is the most clear of those, and the third is more dramatic.
Check out my fanfiction!Ooh, I like the single shot; it has the drama, and it shows the arrows both falling and sticking up in the foreground, so you don't need a "before and after."
Tropes about motion are hard to convey in images, but those arrows in the first shot are actually traveling up.
4.3 is great.
4.3 looks pretty epic.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? This one looks decided.
Good enough; 4.3's up and tagged. Caption?

Check out my fanfiction!^ Not really feeling it.

The image is taken from two different films to show the "before" and "after" of a Rain of Arrows. This would probably be fine, except that
the images blur into each otherthe bottom image blurs up into the top, which looks muddy and confusing. We could simply put together a new version with sharp lines, but it might be better to take both shots from one movie (the current 300 image plus a shot of the arrow-riddled shields, for example).
