I'm a tad confused about the trope Out-of-Character Moment, and some of the related tropes.

Take Character Derailment, for example; a lot of examples on that page seem to be interchangeable with OOCM, which means we may have a duplicate trope on our hands. The K-ON! movie example on CD could fit almost perfectly on OOCM.

Some of the OOCM examples seem to be more like Hidden Depths, as well. The Pajama Sam example, for example, could easily be interpreted as the character being unexpectedly not so stupid.

I'd like to the distinctions between these tropes cleared up, because right now it's quite confusing.

Character Derailment needs to be a constant character shift.

Out-of-Character Moment is just a moment or line.
