Current doesn't show a large enough age range to cover all the subtleties of anime aging. It shows an adolescent twice and an adult. Specifically the eye sizes don't change between first and second image. Can we have a child, an adult and an older character? Might be tough one to fix. Perhaps keeping 1 and 3 and find a good match for old age.

Opened...the current does have problems but is a Keep Until Better Image Suggested case for me.

a bigger version of first and third shots would be good.

The current example is showing the progression from the younger looking Puni Plush style to the sharper chin angles in Clamp style Shojo Noodle People which make people look older, without using totally uncute age lines reserved for people in their 50s and up.

It seems fine to me although maybe it could be bigger?

Idea Mokarin and her mom from Sabagebu, the only big difference between them is the mom has a longer and sharper face.

I like 5, it's comparable to the current first and third panel. I was hoping we could find a third distinctive age group feature.

So an extreme one? Its really rare when a third distinctive redrawing of faces are presented. Its typically just teen, mom, then old hag and the old hag is not the trope though.

Gundam 00's Marina, age 24 age 31 age 81. Literally the only example I can think of but it takes focus off the important parts and the second image is non-standard.

Actually now that I think about it it misses the point of the trope and focuses on more generic aging and not the actual trope.

What about kid teen mom? I think it shows off the actual trope quite well. The first one has the spot light haze though >.>.

[up] Looks promising. Can we get a shot of that kid with both eyes open?

8 and 13 are both good, I just wish that first panel in 13 wasn't fuzzy.
