Suggestion: City Of Canals

The current isn't bad, but the lighting makes it less obvious at first glance that those are canals, which can be improved on. There are real world locales aplenty, but for something from a work I'll open with this one◊ from Babe: Pig in the City.

I'm getting an error trying to open that pic. The current is a little weak on getting the "city" part across but is in Keep Until Better Image Suggested territory for me.

Suggestion is much better than the current. In the current, I couldn't even tell that was water.

Those overshadow the original suggestion. I like the three Strike Witches ones and these from the ARIA ones: 1, 2, 3, 4

I like 5.1 the best.

I think those that show large expanses of water don't show the trope as well, since that looks more like a coastal city.

I like 1◊ and 2◊ the most. The first is kind of intimate and has a great composition. The second shows a part of a maze of canal alleys, which is far better than those large expanses I mentioned.

Bump; we'll probably need a crowner for this but we need to whittle down the available options to those with the most consensus, otherwise it'll be huge.

Sorry, I just grabbed a bunch of screens of the Scenery Porn. It's criminal for a place to look that pretty.

^^ Is there a limit to the number of options a crowner can take?

Not to my knowledge, but overly large crowners are, to me, a pain to go through because of the time needed to look at all the options.

Okay, so does anyone have any particular preferences out of the options brought forth so far?

Well, if we're whittling down, not 5.2 (too much blank water), 5.6 (too narrow), 5.8 and 5.10 (can't see the water), or 5.9 (the poles are distracting).

I like 5.1, 5.3, 5.4, and 5.7. 5.11 is, as mentioned, a good juxtaposition of canal and walkway.

Edit: 9 and 11.1 are interesting too.
