What is a "Childer?"
Thread title changed per request.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOn my mental list of "Things I Can't Possibly Get Away With" is naming my (hypothetical) daughter Artoria.

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotIn case no one knows, "childer" is at least a regional plural form for child.
"War has nothing to do with humanity. War is something inhuman." - Zlata Filipovich"Jeep," or just about anything named after a car.
"Can't make an omelette without breaking some children." -BurNames based on brands would be really weird. I think there's some exceptions to that, like 'Ford'.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!I was thinking the other day about geography-related names (naming someone after a state, town, country, borough, etc.)
Like there are ones commonly used as names (like Austin or Virginia), ones used less frequently that still work as names (some of the ones I like are in this category, like Bristol), and ones that wouldn't work at all as names (can you imagine naming a kid "Connecticut"?)
Stupid doomed timeline...I don't care how weird it is, I'm naming a daughter Arwen!

Since one thread regarding this topic has been locked, I thought that it could be appropriate to make a fresh start on this subject.
The question here is, what name, perhaps seldom used, would you give to your child?
For me, it could be Baltfried for a boy and Ermengarde/Irmgard for a girl.
