I'm an avid reader of this one.
Note that it's a bit more bloody than OOTS.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."True, although that's partly the effect having more visual details in the art style. Everything from characters' outfits to spell effects is a lot more detailed. So it kind of makes sense that blood and injuries are drawn in more detail too.
With that said, fights are also more brutal in general. When the main protagonist can get filed under inflicting Eye Scream to an attacking minotaur...yeah.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)New strip. Welcome to the ghost town...
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Well, I think the stage is set for The Very Definitely Final Dungeon...
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Wow, not letting anyone get too strong huh?
Given how many "save or (effectively) die" 9th level spells there are, I can understand such a precaution for spell casting classes. For everyone else, though? Guess it's the principle of the thing.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Dying (and dyeing) for your sins.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)That was creepy.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."So much that I had to make it my new forum avatar.
Large Ham Yo-Lee is hammy.

And now, a thread for that other 3.5 D&D stick figure comic that has quietly and consistently been chugging along in the shadow of its big brother. (Yeah, there are other such comics, but they aren't nearly as consistent about updating.)
The quick plot summary: A mysterious shadow appears in the dreams of the novice bard Julie, telling her to recover the pieces of an ancient magic artifact called the Magicant, for the sake of keeping it out of the hands of certain people. Along with her fighter husband Lenny, sister sorceress Angelika, and the rogue Rocky, they set out on a quest. And it gets a lot more complicated from there on out (I can't really explain it without spoiling stuff, sorry).
First strip is here if you want to catch up on things.
