Hello everyone I'm writing a prophetic dream and I would like some opinions on it (whether I'm being too obvious with the symbolism or just boring).

"I've never been on that planet. But I've always dreamed of it since I was very young. The third planet behind a star; a world so fragile and yet filled with so much love darkness cannot thrive. A place with just one moon and vast seas. It's night and I'm walking through and endless alien forest carrying a lantern trying to get home before dawn. But then I fall, my lantern shatters, and everything turns so dark I can't see. But from the ground the last thing I can perceive is a light coming from a woman running in front of me towards the top of a mountain. Her lantern shines brighter than mine ever did and behind her the sun begins to rise. I just smile before waking up. "

"I never understood what it meant. My mother says it's a prophecy. But I don't believe in fate, I believe in love".

Thank you for reading!

Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.

So...how is the prophecy fulfilled? You only gave us half the info needed to form an opinion.

Thanks for the feedback to both of you! Seems like I was waaaay too vague with the symbolism.

[up][up]

It's an alien girl describing earth a place she has never been before and probably will never be. The prophecy means that She is going to die but that her replacement a woman from earth will continue her mission.

Now that you've explained it, it's a tad easier to get. But it's still too oblique a metaphor. Maybe if there was a literal Passing the Torch in the dream...

Ok, next questions. How is the earth girl the alien girl's replacement. And what is the purpose of the alien girl knowing the prophecy? The only purpose behind knowing a prophecy is to either see it fulfilled and/or to tell it to others who will see it fulfilled.

The alien girl is a good person and a fighter for love but her replacement is a mess emotionally and in fact has done some evil thing. The alien has felt a connection to the human girl even though they have never met.

I think the point in the prophecy is that nobody is meant to understand it until she is close to her death.

Just before she dies she will say something like "Now I get it... it was you her along the one meant to finish my mission. I know she is broken but she is just lost... please tell her I've chosen her to take my place and my title as a princess ."

So, she tells the aliens how to find her successor? Or relates a message that needs to be given to her successor?

The second one for sure.
