I feel like it's best to follow the advice of Ross Scott in the Zany Golf episode of Ross's Game Dungeon. The things Yandev did here are just considered kinda dickish. Now, if he actually caused someone legitimate harm, like EA or King.com, that would be a different story. Right now, it's nothing too serious.

Druelbozo, a former volunteer talked about how yanderedev refuses to pay people for professional work despite his $5000 patreon goal being exactly that, and about how he sends his fans to attack people who criticize him.

While that does sound pretty shitty, there's something fishy. If he sends his fans after people, wouldn't I have heard about it? I'm a fan, yet this has never been mentioned. And he mentioned before, he is only taking volunteers. He never said anywhere that he is looking for commissions.

$5000 dollar patreon goal: If I reach this goal, I could pay three professional-level volunteers $500 per month for more assistance, or pay one professional-level volunteer $1500 per month for more assistance, or split the money between two professional-level volunteers.

And there's nothing that can be done about it but hope he pays up eventually.

Could this accurately summarize Yanderedev's behavior?

He also explicitly said when he made that stretch goal that it is not for compensating current volunteers for the work that they've done, but would be for paying someone to do extra work in the future, and that he would like to add paying volunteers for old work as a goal on a future crowdfunding venture.

It's not like he's scamming anyone—he's just not paying people who aren't asking him to pay them.

I prefer not to hate the people who make my media, but I can't ignore links.

Did someone really come into this thread just to bash the creator and turn Yan Sim's fans against him?

Ugh, there's been an influx of people doing just that (coming in just to bash on the dev and the game). Dev isn't by any means a saint but it feels like they're either straw grasping to make him sound worse than he really is or just plain making stuff up. All just because he's making a game whose mechanics they don't agree with.

Yeah, and really, I don't care what the Dev does, as long as it's not really harming anyone. Besides, his infamous Let's Play days are over now.

Please stop linking this. When I have a Broken Pedestal, it always leads to a downward spiral of self-loathing. Can we just kill the thread and come back when there's something *relevant* that won't cause me to be vaguely suicidal for weeks

We'll have to wait for an update about any new cheats, assuming that YanDev will be including any more.
