Are there any sort of special things to know about "scene aspects"?

Nothing beyond the fact that they can be invoked and compelled like character aspects by spending a fate point, or that they're generally meant to convey the 'mood' of a scene.

Incidentally, this RP pretty much operates on the honor system: I trust that you'll either roll 4d6 in real life and stick to that, or use a dice rolling emulator on the interwebs to the same effect.

I also trust that you can keep your own fate points straight. I will tell you when the fate points refresh, however. Normally it's at the end of a play session, but since we don't do discrete sessions, I'll find a way to put them in over the course of the story.

If you want to take an action that involves rolling dice, just put it at the end of your post with a line break.

Like this, saying something like rolling my character's Notice and getting this result: +3

If it's a success, I'll give the character that piece of information in my next post.

You can also ask me for the challenge rating of an action after the line break, like I want to use Rapport to try and charm this character, in which case I can give you a static threshold to beat.

Hullo. Just putting this here: got no experience whatsoever with Fate.

Also if you don't want to have to count because of using normal dice, just use a Fudge roller, like this one.

It is worth noting that you roll 4 fate dice for your actions, not 5. Other than that, the emulator's pretty good.

Fixed the link. Now it's 4.

Also since there were no instructions for how to contact Eli, I figured Spy Speak would be my best bet.

Eli actually has a small sensor-shielded pocket fabricated into her top, sized enough for most data-chips/stuff that size, since she's a specialist smuggler for data and not hard goods.

She just figures that a sensor shielded pants pocket would be easier noticed in a casual search and still have the problem of pick pockets. If she gets a body search that reveals that pocket, she figures the jig is already belly up anyway and about to end in blaster fire.

(I'm thinking too much over those details)

(Yes, if Eli was a male char, said pocket would be in a somewhat lower position of the body :P)

It would be really useful if everyone can use location tags in their posts so that we know where everyone is, especially now that people are moving around.

The plot's starting to roll on and honestly, I don't think I'd be able to manage that many more players. Maybe in the future when there's downtime, but not for quite a while.

Hm, so. I rolled 0++0 and Satine has no Athletics, so it's +2, which is less than the Besalisk's 3. What do I do now, describe Satine being hit?

Assuming you don't use a fate point to boost it to +2, yes. You'll take a 1-stress hit from the difference between the attacker and defender, and an additional +2 since the Besalisk is using blaster pistols. And since Satine wears armor, it's reduced to just 2 physical stress, meaning you check the second box on the character sheet (you don't have to do it in the signup, just keep track of your stress somewhere.)

Using a Fate Point like, hm, saying that because the corridor is dimly lit the Besalisk should have a hard time aiming or something similar?

I rolled Athletics to try and avoid getting knocked back by the telekinesis. I got a result of 0. Scared little plant boy > angry Rodian with a gun.

Blame it on the station's atmosphere not being exactly what she's used to.

The dice said "fuck this introduction in particular"

I didn't say anything in that last bit 'cause I figured that that was the natural scene transition line :P
