So I've been playing this with some friends for a couple of months now and it's been pretty darn fun.

It's a new system for me, but it's been fairly easy to pick up and definitely easy on the Dices (I have at most needed to roll 5d6, with 95% of rolls being just 3d6).

We've been using all three sets of it, and it's an interesting concept mechanics wise. There are only 3 classes, with a combination of Focuses (skills) and Talents (something like feats) that can lead to Specializations (think prestige classes).

Anyone else playing right now?

Since this seems to be an unplayed game here, I think I'll use the thread as a mini-blog and to keep my thoughts on the game.

This las session was interesting.

The Fun: Using the Disarm stunt on a skeleton results in a one-armed skeleton.

Using the Mighty Blow stunt to throw a skeleton into an unexplored passageway results in a very effective way to test traps. (We found this out when the poor skelly got up and tripped a rope trap).

The useful: I'm trying to get the Runecrafting Talent later, so I got the Enchanting specialization (it's a prereq). I hadn't thought it would see use before I got the talent, but it came in handy when we ran into a broken glowing rune-y circle. I asked the DM and she agreed I could use Enchanting to try and read what runes were in the circle and figure out what it was for. Turns out it was a demon containment circle.

The problematic: We're barely taking damage, and thanks to the "take 5" rule we heal most of it back. So far none of us has (in the 6 or so sessions we've done) come anywhere close to death. The DM is going to tackle that problem. Yaaay? sad

I've wanted to play it for a while now but my group hates Dragon Age.

Well that's sucky. Any particular reason they hate it?

I actually don't know.

Though the main hater actually liked Inquisition, IIRC.

So, there might be a chance.

Yeah, the RPG is vaguely post DA:O, so they tell me. (I've never actually played, so it's been a lot of discovery). But it could be set before the first game or even during.
