Both of those seem like Just A Matchbook.

I don't actually see an issue, but perhaps an establishing shot would make the investigative aspect more obvious.

I think 5 could work. Shame it's so dark. Can anything be done about that?

It's supposed to have a stark contrast. There isn't much more to be seen when lightened up.

Not a fan. Brightening it doesn't add a lot, and actually reduces the image quality in the previously darkened sections. I don't think seeing all of the room is necessary or even important, just that somebody entered it in search of something.
