That has nothing to do with the 2.0 proposal; it's more of a markup change, which is something we should request separately.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"With the new organized system of tropes, would it be possible to have a trope connect between multiple works? For example, if Work A had an expy of a character from Work B, would it be possible to see it on the pages for both works?
Since the relationship is uneven (Work A is In-Universe; Work B is external Trivia), the particular relationship between the two would have to be set. We already have kind of relationship between Shout-Out and Referenced by... but on a massively inefficient and underused level.
I think it would be interesting to check the trivia for a work and see how it inspired other works.
I don't see why it would not be possible. It's more a question of resources to support the relationship.

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! The devs are working through the bug reports now and will give us an update soon.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"How soon? And what do you mean by an update?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! On when bugfixes will be deployed for testing, and/or when the new site can go live.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"When will both of those be?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I'm not sure we're communicating here. Read my earlier post.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"When will the two things you described in it happen?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I am not a mod, but please, stop being impatient. It will be done when it will be done. Someday. You can still enjoy this version of TVT while you wait.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)What I want is an idea of when it'll go live, whenever that is.

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! The update will occur at some future date. The moderators will tell us that date somewhat earlier. The developers will tell the moderators that date soon.
Most likely, the developers don't have an estimate yet.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I'd assume that, in 2.0, what with works and tropes being structured database objects, we'll be able to have perfectly accurate counts on how many works use a certain trope and how many tropes a certain work uses.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! That is certainly one of the objectives.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"They way we check it now is by checking how many wicks the work or trope page has, which is close but not quite accurate. I still (currently) use it though.

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I think more professionalism and accuracy is definitely the way forward. And if people miss the fun of doing it by hand, I'm sure we will find a new thing to keep them occupied.
On another note, what is the progress status of the 2.0 project?

Optimism is a duty.I'd still like some idea of when the 1.8 update will go live.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I sure hope the developers have some sort of deadline, even a self imposed one. "Sometime in the future" is NEVER a good idea for a project.
Optimism is a duty.Even if said deadline isn't made public, agreed.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!I'd like to know, too. The 2.0 page hasn't had anything new be added to it since 2016 April. This means that to us regular users, it looks like nothing has happened in two years while the update still hasn't started development.
Maybe I just don't know how much work is going on here, but I find it hard to believe this would happen unless there are some problems causing big delays.
Will TVT 2.0 be able to support hex codes for colors?
