Anita Torre stood in the lobby of her guild building. While technically her goal was to make sure everything was in working order, she couldn't help but admire the end result of all of her work.

She was an old lady, who could have been anywhere from her sixties to her eighties. Despite her age, she hardly looked frail and clearly had lots of life left in her. Her grey hair was currently tied up in a bun, and she was dressed in a green and black dress. Her eyes, also green, had a noticeable twinkle in them.

For the longest time, magical girls had nowhere to turn should they find themselves dragged here from their homeworlds. She herself had been the victim of this long ago, finding herself in the middle of a world that seemed so normal yet truly chaotic. She'd managed well enough; she was nothing if not resourceful. But perhaps other girls couldn't say the same.

Perhaps now they wouldn't have to go at it fumbling blindly. Here was a place where they could learn what this world was like and how to adapt to it. Maybe now there'd be a proper magical girl organization in this world, and maybe they could put an end to all this chaos.

The stage was set. All that remained was to wait for the actors.

After ensuring all was ready to go, Anita turned and headed further into the guild building to check elsewhere.

Sometime after Anita completed her check, the first girls showed up.

"This is a little out of the way," Samantha commented as she gracefully landed in front of the building. She looked it over with a decidedly neutral expression on her face. "Seems awfully well kept for a place out in the middle of nowhere."

"What do you think it is, exactly?" Sophie asked, landing a few seconds after her companion. She looked it over herself, expression somewhere between worry and curiosity. "It doesn't look like anything the Bleaksteel would make, at least. This doesn't exactly look like the best place to build a fancy house though."

Samantha shrugged. "It's not a military base, but beyond that it could be anything. We might as well check it out; it's not like we have any better options for figuring out where we are."

Sophie nodded, before quickly tapping the gem on the back of her left hand. After a brief glow that enveloped her entire body for a few seconds, she'd changed from her frilly transformed appearance to one that was decidedly more normal. "Ready when you are, I guess...."

"This is probably one of those situations where we're better off transformed, but...." Samantha shook her head. "...You're way too self conscious. I guess we'll look a little more inconspicuous in our normal appearances."

At that she transformed back to her usual self, in a manner very similar to Sophie. Afterwards, the two girls cautiously pushed open the front door and entered the building.

"Puerto Ricoooooo...my heart's devotion..."

Anita Moreno stopped where she was and looked up at the exterior of the building. She adjusted her earbuds, then rubbed at the shaved side of her head for a moment.

"Let it sink back in the ocean..."

So this is the place, she thought. She looked down at the silver cross around her neck, took it in her left hand, lifted it up from the basketball jersey with its black-to-red gradient and stylized hawk on the front, its wings extending around to the back. But is this really the song I want playing when I walk in?

"Always the hurrica—"

She pressed a button about halfway down the wires leading to her phone, and as soon as the bassline of the next track started thumping, she was nodding her head in time with it. Lo siento, mamá. I know you named me after the character who sang that song, but it's just not the right vibe. She looked back up, and with her steps right in sync with the music, she approached the Guild's doors for the first time.

We are W.I.T.C.H

Meanwhile a group of three girls were walking at the entrance of the place, they seem average looking and not special at all. There was a long long haired girl called Cornelia, an asian girl named Hay Lin and a ginger one named Will.

" No creo que sea un nombre tan malo. Despuès de todo no todos pueden tener un nombre como el mio," Cornelia Hale, said while playing with her hair, as she had overheard Anita's talking.

Hay lin and Will both looked at her raising an eyebrow.

"Please forgive her, our my friend is a big show off," Will told Anita while rolling her eyes. "My name is Will," she gave a shy smile

"What can I say? My mother forced me to take private spanish lessons. It paid off" the blond girl shrugged.

"Nice, to meet you! I'm Hay lin," she approached to the new girl running as the wind as she closed her eyes and extend her hand to greet her.

Will took a strange jewel whose light was guiding the three towards the entrance."I don't what's this place about, but the heart is guiding us here," Will informed the others as she tried to knock the door and made a signal for the other girls to enter through and follow her.

You realize Anita was thinking, not talking, right? The lines in quotes were lyrics from the song she was listening to before she switched to Big Pun. No need to edit, I've worked it into the response.

Anita took her right earbud out and gave Cornelia a look that combined confusion and mild offense. If any of the girls were listening closely, they'd catch a bit of the music playing, though not very much; the volume on it was reasonably low.

"I'm from the Bronx, dipshit," said Anita. "I didn't even tell you my name." She turned to the other two girls, and her demeanor turned appropriately more friendly. "It's Anita, by the way. Anita Moreno. Pleasure to meet you both." She turned Hay Lin's offered handshake into a slide and fist bump, and gave a nod to Will. Then, she turned back to Cornelia and resumed her coldness. "Ahora, sangana, ¿tu nombre es...?"

One Week Ago, The Old Textile Factory

Soft humming filling the air, standing around a mousy brunette girl is a... 'Person' leaking specks of darkness from their suit. The gender of the 'Person' fluctuating, they lean down to look at the girl's glasses. Then, they speak with a woman's voice "You know, I really thought your big sister would be here already Ivy. Just, my goodness, I thought she loved you." The 'Person' pulling back, they speak again in a male voice. "Well, I always knew humans were inferior. Disgusting little things, what did our Creator see in you flawed beings? Tch, I should just end you..."

The 'Person' bringing back their right arm, darkness swells over the arm covering the hand with claws. Ivy's scream muffled and her eyes closing in fright, a strong female voice yells out "Stop!" Ivy opening her eyes and the 'Person' turning around, standing there is Sarah Geneva. The young woman walking up to the 'Person' and standing with resolve, her voice is firm. "I'm here as you requested Kittan. Let Iris go now."

The 'Person', Kittan, cracks a smile and gives a gentlemanly bow. The darkness swelling at the back of their right arm, a dark tendril slices through Ivy's binds and gag. The younger girl looking to her sister with fear, Sarah shakes her head and points to the exit. Ivy cautiously looking at Kittan, she gets up from the chair and reluctantly begins to leave. With Ivy out of attack range, Kittan speaks with a woman's voice.

"You know what I love about humans? The things you truly fear, you pretend don't exist at all. Magic, Gods, Demons... Frankly I like that extreme fear. After all, my demonhood stopped you from involving the police. Thus you already understand why I need to kill you..." Sarah taking a few steps back, her hand going into her pocket- Yet in the blink of an eye, Kittan's hand already carved through her face.

Sarah dropping to her knees as black fire burned at her wounds, Kittan thrusts their right arm to the side as the darkness bubbles. "Precious, thought you could act faster than a demon. Well, no silver cross will save you. Maybe someone might be smart enough to understand why your corpse had that, but that's just more murder then. Anyway, goodbye 'friend'." The darkness bursting to reveal a wing of shadows, it sharpens as Kittan pulls back to deliver the final blow.

However, Kittan's wing stops inches from piercing Sarah's heart. Kittan themselves then being thrown back, what Sarah could still understand left her seeing a black haired girl turned away from her. Still, losing awareness as the black flames burned, she only heard one thing before passing out "The master didn't approve."

Guild Building, Outside, Today

Calmly walking up to the building is, seemingly, an absolutely normal girl. No special outfit, no trinkets, just a seventeen year old girl with a calm curiosity in her eyes. Yet, if one looked closer, something about her would seem... wrong. Her hair, an eye, three lines of her face... If one focused, a sense of falsehood could be felt. Not that of illusions, but like that of one pretending to be something else. Nonetheless, she calmly stops around a gathering of four girls before politely calling out.

"Excuse me, do you know what this building is for? I'm looking for a certain place, its very important I do." The seeming brunette smiling gently and her hands in her lap, if one could notice she would come off more as probing & certain than confused & worried.

Guild Building - Lobby

"This isn't what I was expecting at all," Samantha said upon stepping inside and looking around. She scratched her head. "Looks like some kind of hotel. That's just raising more questions."

Her eyes settled on the bulletin boards on the walls. Without saying anything more, she walked up and started looking them over.

Sophie was about to follow her, but then she noticed the attendants in the back. She cautiously approached one. "Excuse me," she asked of the attendant, "What exactly is this place?"

Of the two, Samantha was in a better position to notice the group congregating outside. She turned her head towards the direction the sounds of voices were coming from. With one last glance at the bulletin she was reading, she headed back outside, arriving just in time to catch the brunette's question.

"What she asked," she said to the group.

A shadow flits through the night, too fast to see. Skye Mu chases after it in magical girl form, quickly closing in. The shadow darts into an alley, one which Skye'd seen before...

... That's a dead end... He's cornered.

The shadow backs up against the wall, facing Skye.

".... Tch..." They speak with a voice that's neither male nor female. "... You think you've gotten me, don't you?"

"Think?" Skye asks. ".. You sure you're not just panicking now that you've got your back to the wall?"

Wait Skye, they're building up magic power!

What?

Though their face can't be seen, it feels like the shadow grins.

"... I'm sure."

Suddenly a portal opens up behind the figure and sucks them in.

Shit, a portal... We have to-

...

Tell me you're not

"Well, this place looks somewhat important. Might as well look around here..." Skye mutters to herself.

my mistake

"Cornelia, Cornelia Hale for your information " the blond girl said while crossing her arms and looking at her in mild disgust "¿Bronx? Eso explica tù falta de clase. Para tù informacìon mi papa es el jefe de un banco."

Hay lin fist bumped back Anita with a wide smile, she then whispered to her and said, "She is actually less annoying and much more friendly once you get to know her."

Then three other girls arrived and Will said to them "I've no idea, my friends and I were just trying to get home and we got lost," She was holding a pink and strange looking jewel◊, whose unnatural shine was pointing at the doors like a lantern.

Meanwhile Hay lin ran super fast to greet the new girls, She extended her hand and she would shake it if they wanted, and her eyes would closed for her to greet them with a wide smile.

Will was more served and just used her hand to greet the other girls. Will leaned down and watched them closely."My name is Will by the way, that is Hay lin and the one crossing her arms is Cornelia. Whatever is happening I suspect that we might get some answers inside," she sighed while looking at the door.

"Typical rich white girl," said Anita with a sneer. "Upper-class, but no respect for anyone else. Try going to my neighborhood and talking shit about the Bronx, pendeja. You'd get your ass beat worse than that incubus I dealt with last week." She took a couple steps closer, deliberately invading Cornelia's personal space. "My family has been fighting demons and breaking curses since before yours had five dollars to their fucking name." The last two words came out with extra grit, just to get the point across. Then, she stepped back and pointed at Cornelia. "You say anything else cheeky, it's gonna get mad ugly." She put an earbud back in and headed for the door Will had found. She nodded at Hay Lin and Will as she did so, just to show that, in her eyes, this beef didn't extend to the two of them.

Guild Building - Outside

"So we weren't the only ones who got lost, then?" Samantha asked, "Well, that makes me feel a little better."

She glanced back towards the building. "We were just inside there, and it looks like my associate still is. Naturally." She sighed. "Looks like some kind of hotel, although I don't think this is the best place to put one of those."

Her eyes settled briefly on the jewel the redhead was carrying. Her eyebrow raised, but she otherwise didn't comment on it now. If for no other reason, it was that she didn't get the chance before another one of the girls got really anxious to meet her.

"...You're awfully excitable, aren't you?" she asked of this girl, before shrugging and accepting the offer of a handshake. "Name's Samantha Proudfoot. My associate can introduce herself once she meets you."

Afterwards, she followed the crowd back towards the door, but not before giving the black-haired girl a strange look. It was debatable whether it was because she seemed to be arguing with the others already or because she was talking about demons, something Samantha was certain didn't exist before now.

"What?!"

"Ex-cuse me?" Cornelia put her hands on her chest

"Me and my friends have saved you from things you wouldn't believe. Prince Phobos would be ruling the world. It's not my family's fault you can't afford decent clothes and a real bath. I am not scared of you!" she said while closing her arms and giving a death glare to Anita.

Anita would feel the floor trembling a little, as if there was a mini, but harmless, earthquake around in the space between the two.

"You...uh! " Cornelia closed her fists and stretched her hands at her side "Look just talk to the hand, " she said while showing it and looking at the other side.

Meanwhile Hay lin, "My name is Hay lin a pleasure, she replied to Samantha with a smile as she shook her hand. She jumped in her place "Great! I can't wait to meet her, I am getting hungry...," she commented while rubbing her stomach.

"We will follow you," said Will while scratching the back of her head. "Whatever is going on we will find a way home, I promise," she said while looking down , unsure of herself.

Hay lin then approached Skye With a look of confusion on her eyes. "You've been awfully quiet , are you ok?" She glanced at her to see if she was ok.

GM post

The group of Magical girls wasn't alone as a group of three hooded figures arrived at the scene. Their hoods were like those of monks and they were covering their bodies and a shadow didn't allow anyone to see who was inside them. Whoever they were it was clear they didn't want anyone to know who they where.

"Are you coming or are you going to stay all day round staring at that boring door?" The one in the middle spoke to Skye, with a very cold voice.

"Hey you weird one, we don't have all day," said another to Sarah. "The sooner she tell us the truth... the sooner we will get our fun," the other hooded figure said while trying to hide a obvious glee and a dark vibe.

One thing everyone could tell for sure, is that judging by their voices, the hooded figures were all female.

Five Days Ago, Geneva Residence

Eyes slowly opening, Sarah lets out a gasp of pain before shutting them again. Blinking her eyes open, she brings a hand to the side of her face- Immediately becoming shocked upon feeling a smooth roughness. Looking into the mirror affixed to her dresser, Sarah stares at her new reflection. Black hair, white scars on her face, and a red golden eye. Feeling the scars and the skin around them, the young woman begins looking around for something.

"I can tell you that necklace of yours will burn." Looking behind herself to see a black haired red eyed girl no older than sixteen, Sarah's eyes glance towards the lone fingerless glove. Shifting her eyes to look at the girl, Sarah calls out. "I understand demons are meant to be monsters, yet killing me now I've become one of you?"

The other girl lightly chuckling bitterly, she places her right hand on her hip before replying with amused annoyance. "You, a demon? Please, you experienced physical changes alone. Besides, little Ivy can confirm I saved you." Sarah's face twitched at the claim, taking a fair steps back to grab ahold of anything. The demon(?) girl rolling her eyes, she calls out with Sarah's voice "Ivy! There's something I want to ask you!"

Though Sarah was startled by the perfect impersonation, hearing her door open Sarah dives towards her cross necklace- And holding back a scream of pain as her hand's palm sizzled. With Ivy stepping into the room, she's briefly overjoyed before seeing the necklace in Sarah's hand. Younger sister rushing to her elder's aid, the demon(?) girl just calmly closes the door. Ivy successfully taking the necklace away, her sister lets out pained gasps.

"Told ya, though I'm guessing you intended to tank the pain to sear my face off? Well, unfortunately for you..." The girl tapping her fingerless glove, the 'essence' of the girl seems to shatter before turning into a storm of darkness getting sucked into a bracelet where the glove was. The girl herself, though mostly the same, now flashes blue eyes instead.

"I'm not a Demon or Cambion like you. This trinket holds the essence of a slain demon, so that I may use their powers. Ultimately I'm just a moderator, keeping demons and everything else from killing the other." Sarah finishing her pained gasps, she looks up and asks "So demons aren't allowed to indiscriminately kill?"

The mysterious girl wagging a finger and shaking her head with eyes closed, she brings her hands behind her neck before replying. "No, and frankly there are multiple groups of Demons related in name only. Still, the group I come from has certain procedures for unfearing folks like you. Thus Kittan simply violated those procedures, making how to handle you even more uncertain. Still..."

Giving a glance towards Ivy, the younger girl speaks up "Miss Eva said the verdict should take several days, so we'll all be fine for now." The older sister shifting from Ivy to Eva, Sarah stands up and looks at her. "Anything I should prepare myself for?" Eva dropping her hands behind her back and teetering on her heels, replies casually.

"Try getting a handle on your demonic abilities, you'll need to protect yourself." With Eva suddenly waving, the girl disappears into a dark portal and nothing is left where she was.

Today

Sarah smiling at the other girls, she calmly observes the newcomers before finally speaking up. "What does everyone here know about demons anyways?"

Still Outside

Skye regards them with a dry look.

"... Doors can tell you a lot."

She then walks inside.

As the girls walked inside the guild Will Overheard Sara,

"Never heard of demons before, But with the thing I've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if they were real," she replied to the seemingly brunette girl while scratching her hear.

Guild Building - Outside

Samantha raised an eyebrow at Hay lin's comment of feeling hungry. She imagined she was just saying that; the girl hardly looked menacing, but that wording seemed a little suspicious.

What was more suspicious, however, were the three hooded figures who just showed up. They seemed to be more interested in two of the others than herself, but that didn't mean a whole lot to her. They certainly didn't look friendly, and the words coming out of their mouths didn't sound friendly.

All the same, they didn't seem ready to attack, and Samantha wasn't about to throw the first punch. She tensed up, readying herself for action if need be, the jewel of her bracelet starting to glow slightly.

"As far as I know, they don't exist," she replied to the brunette without taking her eyes off the figures, "Unless you want to get metaphorical and call the Bleaksteel demons. They certainly act the part."

"Thank you kindly!" Sophie said to the attendant to finish off that conversation. Something about this was a little strange; what were the chances that a pair of magical girls would wind up at a place intended for them? Not very high, she imagined.

"Samantha, I figured out how...." She stopped when she realized her companion wasn't in the room anymore. "...Samantha?"

There was no response. Sophie sighed, but ultimately decided to not worry too much. Samantha couldn't have gone too far and was very capable of handling herself, and generally trusted Sophie to handle herself when the two of them got separated. This place didn't feel dangerous at all now that she knew what it was here for.

She briefly considered wandering around the place a little, but before she could decide on the matter some newcomer girls walked in. She gave the group a brief glance; if they were like herself and Samantha then chances were they were magical girls too, and she wasn't getting any overly bad feelings about them. It couldn't hurt to chat with them a little, could it?

On that thought, she approached them. "Hey," she said, wearing a small smile and generally trying to look friendly.

Outside

Anita, on hearing Cornelia's barbs, turned around, ready to fight. But then Sarah's question stopped her from going all-out. She stopped where she was and collected herself.

"Okay, you need educating in hip-hop fashion," she said, pointing at Cornelia, "and in not talking like a fuckin' cop, but these Jordans were $200 and I don't feel like ruining them, so the hand and the fist are going to have to postpone their meeting." Then, she pointed to Sarah. "You, on the other hand, sound like somebody I can have a fuckin' conversation with. You wanna know about demons? I've been studying them since preschool. C'mon inside, I'll give you the basics." Her tone with the second girl was nowhere near as harsh, probably because Sarah hadn't opened the conversation with an insult. There was still some residual anger, but it faded as she kept talking. She made a "c'mere" sort of gesture with her hand, then stepped into the building.

Inside

"...Hello. What is this place?" Skye asks Sophie.

When the other girls go inside, she turns to them.

"?"

"Are you guys talking about demons?"

Inside

Though Sarah followed the demon expert inside, she kept track of the things around them as well. Thus she gave the other two girls a soft smile, hands pulling from her lap to be held behind herself. Looking towards the one asking about the subject matter, Sarah speaks up calmly. "Not yet, though why the curiosity? I'll assume you either don't believe or think its inherently wrong to discuss if you don't elaborate."

Softly clearing her throat, she turns to the demon expert. "Could you specifically explain their natures and types? I'm doing some research for my sisters' sake, so knowing what to deal with is important. Of course, I hardly wish to trouble you, so speak what you will."

Inside

"Nice to meet you," Will said to Sophie after she had greeted them.

"Finally, someone with some style," Cornelia said while glancing at Anita "Demons? please that's ridiculous," Cornelia said while playing with her hair and greeting Sophie

... and Just as she had done before, ignoring all self shame, Hay Lin ran past everyone as if there was a Hurry and greeted Sophie "Wow I had never meet so many friends

"Sorry for being so impatient," Will continued " But what is this place?"

Inside-Hooded figures

"Hello, So you must be Samantha," The leader replied to her in a seemingly forced sweet tone. "You must forgive us for our secrecy, but we have freed more our world, we were persecuted... "

"We Can feel there is some strange magic,another of the hooded figures commented," I feel this is more than a casual reunion isn't it? "Let's go to the point and tells us what you can really do," she asked bluntly while glancing at Samantha and the other girls, giving a guess.

"Is this world strong in magical defenses?" asked another.

At that point W.I.T.C.H had overheard them talking.

"What?... We are just average girls, and we are lost," Will said while while waving her arms blushing. Cornelia and Hay lin nodded, innocently nodded back.

"All right, here's the rundown," said Anita as she took a seat. "Demons are, essentially, Hell's foot soldiers. Their overall purpose is to lead people into sin, cause chaos, fight against the legions of Heaven, that sort of thing. They typically answer to Demon Lords—fallen angels who were part of the initial rebellion against God for creating humanity, but weren't Archdevils, a.k.a. the seven angels who orchestrated that whole rebellion and still run the operation to this day. Originally, the only demons out there were angels who defected after the initial rebellion when they came to hate humankind afterwards. Those are the ones who can possess people. But cosmic wars take a long-ass time, so Hell started bringing other supernatural rabble-rousers and evildoers into the demonic fold. So that's how you get incubi and succubi, who basically...ugh, they disgust me. I caught an incubus forcing himself on someone once, and it was..." She shook her head, as if to force the thought out of her head.

"Yeah, he got a sword up his ass for that. So anyway, there's those, there's shadow-beings, there's evil ghosts...if I listed them all, I'd be here all day. But they all have one thing in common: thanks to the end result of the most recent all-out battle between Heaven and Hell, demons are locked out of this plane of existence. The only way they can get here is through curses. Whatever a curse gets put on, demons can use that as a sort of access point to our world. They don't necessarily turn up right where it is, but they tend to be drawn to it, and chances are they'll go making more curses on the way. And as curses age, they get more resilient, so how fast you can break one depends on how old it is and how good you are at cursebreaking. Like, my mom was one of the best in the business at it, so a curse that would take most people two weeks to break would only take her three days. I'm not at that level yet, but hopefully I'll get there."

She paused for a moment to let it all sink in. "So, that's the basics. Anything else you'd like to know?"

"Wait, you mean you have magic powers?" Will said to Anita in disbelief after she had explained about Demons, "I though only...Uhm nevermind," she muttered timidly.

Inside-Hooded figures

Devon Grey forcefully push her way past the thugs.

"....Whats the big idea here? Your blocking my way to the guild."

Inside

Sarah calmly listened, the most she did was "Hm" when the Incubus was mentioned. Still, with the speech ended, Sarah holds her polite smile and speaks calmly. "That all sounds quite different from what my friend mentioned. Thus, are there various groups of Demons or other unrelated entities using the name? I would also like to know the policy of dealing with Cambions and those corrupted by demonic essence. In addition, what can you tell me about God, Archdevils and angels?"

Holding her hands against her chest, Sarah then looks towards the Hooded Figures. For a second Sarah almost seems to flicker, a heartless stare just noticeable during that moment. Though she kept smiling, now even her smile has a ting of wrongness. Nonetheless, she calls out sweetly "Do the three of you notice how suspiciously you come off? Honestly if you don't explain things fast we might think you're demons."
